"...When the gaoler woke and saw the doors wide open he drew his sword and was about to commit suicide, presuming that the prisoners had escaped. But Paul shouted at the top of his voice, ‘Don’t do yourself any harm; we are all here.’ The gaoler called for lights, then rushed in, threw himself trembling at the feet of Paul and Silas, and escorted them out, saying, ‘Sirs, what must I do to be saved?’ They told him, ‘Become a believer in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, and your household too.’ Then they preached the word of the Lord to him and to all his family. Late as it was, he took them to wash their wounds, and was baptised then and there with all his household. Afterwards he took them home and gave them a meal, and the whole family celebrated their conversion to belief in God."




Antie Debbie, isn't it often that we hear people who claim they have the backing of the scripture condemn the practice of infant baptism? The child should grow and have the choice to accept the faith they say. Abeg make I laugh small joor...hahahahaha... now let me read the scripture again "Become a believer in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, and your household too". Did you just see that Chy27, his household salvation was gonna be based on his own faith! They went ahead to preach the word to him and his family. Now what followed next is very interesting jnrbayano, "Late as it was, he took them to wash their wounds, and was baptised then and there with all his household". Kamsified you hear that? Everybody was baptized, the scripture made no exceptions, young and old in the family, all were baptized. So where did they get the impression that the apostolic tradition of baptizing children is wrong, where does the scripture support them? Francistony you de follow me so? I tire o for this people o. St Peter had warned about these sought of thing when he said of scripture "As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction" 2Pet.3:15. Are you learned and stable? Are you wrenching scripture unto your own destruction. That's the safety of being under the One, Holy, Apostolic, roman Catholic church my sister Juzzybabe, for in her is the learning via history and apostolic succession. Indeed woky, In her is the stability of infallible dogmas, inspired by the Holy spirit and borne witnessed to by the blood of martyrs.
