I've been opportuned to use the 2005 Corolla S and currently the 2009 Corolla S. Between the two i actually prefer the 2005 model and wouldn't have given that up if not that a mechanic messed with the gearbox. I used the 2005 model for 2 years and apart from the gearbox issue caused by using the wrong fluid, i experienced no issues with it with very low maintenance cost and spares. I have use the 09 model for about a month now and it has been mixed feelings...i miss my factory 6 loader in the 05 model and the presence of the O/D switch on the gearstick ( not like i ever used it) but i love that the 09 plays mp3 so i can have hundreds of songs on one CD with the added aux, i guess a lil more HP though i never drive past 80 km/hr and remote starting. The feel of the steering in the 09 is a bit light ( i think it is electronically assisted) but the drive is smooth and less noisy interior than the 05. I haven't had to do any major repairs yet apart from the usual servicing so i cannot comment much about the cost of parts. I feel the 05 is stronger but i love the body style of the 09.

I used the 2007 model and the experience was astonishing,though I am yet to drive any of the 08 - 010 models but my banker friend of mine who uses the 09 as his official said he preferred the 07 I used as he has driven it on few occassions.

which is better in terms of? If u are talking fuel economy then there's no comparison here, corolla is a compact car with 1.8L engine while the Camry I'm question comes with 2.4L for i4. So u can't expect the Camry to be more economical. But the Camry has more power especially the v6. Its bigger and has more space. So when u ask which is better, it depends on what u are looking for. If u don't care about power and do a lot of city driving, then u might choose the corolla. But if u want power and do a lot of traveling, want bigger space, then Camry for sure.

@eletra80....I go with your comment in responds to Segzypep question....You cant Compare the both of them,they re two diff machine with diff body style....So the Corolla is more economical and efficient to compare to the Camry....But when it comes to travelling you will like the Camry Big fornotting for the good job there cos of the Body size and engine size.
