The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Tuesday, 15th and Wednesday, 16th October, 2013 as Public holidays to mark Eid-el-Kabir Sallah celebration.

The Minister of Interior, Comrade Abba Moro made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government on Thursday in a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Fatima Bamidele.

He congratulated the Muslim faithfuls and enjoined them and all other Nigerians to join hands with the President of the country, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan in his sustained efforts to raise Nigeria to the next level of development.

Moro further urged all Nigerians to use the occasion to pray for peace and unity across the nation while also wishing all Nigerians a most rewarding and peaceful celebration.

MOst Nigerians are bloody Hypocrites.
When it is a public holiday in favour of traditional/ pagan gods as done in osun of recent. They complained and rain abuses. Now its an holiday in favour of muslim celebration some are even asking for 3days.

Nobody really knows what goes on in those "traditional" festivals anyway. What other weird shizit happens apart from masquerades flogging passers-by?
