My old CRV was white. Bought Tokunbo. My family especially my mom harangued me so much about it, I had to spray it all black by Dec 2012. Odd cos I kinda liked it sha. . Black is my choice anytime anyday especially for a brand new car. After that Red that pops!

But I have seen varying colors of the same vehicles here in Lagos and the Black is the least appealing to me.


1st position is the White.
2nd is the metallic grey.


Black hides too many details in a car including dirt and dents..

White luxury vehicles are considered a status symbol in many parts of the US (mostly suburban ). I like a pearly white but I think black is sexy in a luxury vehicle

Black is sexy

White looks good on cars but it's not advisable especially in Lagos with all the hustle and bustle. Na marwa and danfo go finish your car with cosmetic scratches in less than one month except you hardly drive it. Although thank God okada own don comot dia.

Reason: White cars emphasize the details of a car. The chrome shines better, the black details all stand out and when time for a rerouch of the paint job comes, its easy to find and replace..

Poverty maketh nigerians run away from white, the color of light and purity.

People do not know that white is the easiest paint to maintain on a car. I have an inlaw whose only car is white and when he bought a red/second car, he still repainted it white...

To buttress, my first sentence, would you ride in a black or a white Rolls Royce phantom ? When the word is luxury/class/factory fresh, most of the cars definitely come in white...

*sigh* White cars are so difficult to maintain. You have to clean/wash at every outing even if it is just a few kilometer.

Any small scratch is visible. I have to go buy a white nail varnish to hide scratches. Works like magic.
