I have this friend of mine who also happens to be my best pal. He has three sister (who are all married) and he is the last child and also the only male child. For a year now,his sisters and parents has called me several times to help talk to their son to get married which I promised to do but when we stay as friends we just laugh it off and he will say,'I am just 22 and still young'. He has this girl he has been dating for two years now which his mum and sisters love and often send her gifts. When the pressures increased,my friend developed this attitude that made me start typing this. He now became too bossy. Within the space of a year and half he has smashed not less than six of the girl's phones and for SIMs (wish I was good with numbers). When I raise the topic of how he is sending the girl on tour (ie smashing and replacing with new phone and SIM) he covers it up by saying thats love and I am saying such because i cant afford to smash and replace.

My question is these:
1. Guys is this the best way to treat ladies?
2. Ladies is this the kind of love you dear for?

What's love in smashing your girls phones?? I see your friend as an infant throwing tantrums! Could be his own way of letting his parents know that he is still a kid and not yet ready for marriage. How old is your friends girl? 15? 16? Or 17? Am asking this cos its only a teenager that will allow her bf smash her phone SIX times!!! Without smashing his head into a wall!!! And I take it your friend could be a rich spoilt kid? If not how does his parents expect him to cater for a family at 22? Is he still a student or works? If his parents wants him to settle down at 22 then they should go seek the girls hand in marriage on behalf of their son na!

That is his new definition of love and he refers to her as his fiance. As for being a kid, he is just a young lad in his early twenties who was pampered alot by his parents.

The young girl is just two years younger than him. But i guess her probs is that she has been blindfolded by the kind of love the family is showing towards her both materially and physically.

20 and 22? It seems your friend has made up his mind on the behaviors he terms love! And his girl is cool with it else she would have left him! Or like you said the gifts his parents gives her must have blinded her. To me that's not loving at all its more like over possessiveness! And you didn't state what she does that makes him resort to smashing her phone?

He always smash her phone or break the SIM whenever she answers any funny call from an opposite sex or have a funny ping or message. He loves doing it and i sense the girl likes it because i expected her to put a stop to the unsual calls by not giving out her number, yet she still answers the call and give you silly excuses of not knowing how the dude got her number.
