Lagos state and rivers state are the richest states in nigeria. With the largest allocations, largest budgets, most internally generated revenue states,etc.. And they are now controlled by the APC

Amongs the governors in nigeria, it is belived ameachi and fashola are the closest. They think alike and consider themselves men of vision. Their have been attempts by them to work together on many issues but their party differences had hindered them. But now that they are now under the same roof, what will that mean going forward for their respective states, together, how will they challenge the federal government on increased state rights, revenue allocation, excess crude funds sharing,etc and how will the federal government approach this allaince?

PDP will loose the governorship of rivers state.

Am talking of political structure not economic structure, although you can't rule out kano state interms of wealth also. Atleast after 4-5 states in the south you have to call kano state as one of the wealthy state in nigeria. Politically kano and lagos are states with great influence, that can change the political structure of their neighbouring states unlike rivers

Congrats, first time you have made sense on this forum. Any of the Sekibo's is a No-No, Wike is a strong grassroot man and he may clinch it but I dont trust him at all and I will only pity Rivers State if Wike wins.
Pdp will make the greatest mistake if they fail to field Tonye Princewill and guess what, with Princewill apc may just clinch Rivers State(after which he comes back to Pdp).

Indeed I agree with your point,PDP will win rivers. convincingly and 'lagos (if APC fields a northern candidate) in the presidential polls but as for the respective governorships, APC will maintain Lagos but I doubt Amaechi will be able to overhaul the PDP's machinery in rivers...the PDP would most likely field Sen George Sekibo(who is GEJ's candidate) and he'll defeat Abe(Amaech's Candidate) who is more of a technocrat than a politician....it could reignite the age long rivalry between Kalabari/Okrikas and the Ogoni,Rivers Breathes PDP and I doubt even Amaechi would be able to break that...Tonye Princewill has no chance whatsoever......Btw Amaechi has indeed tried especially in education and healthcare but Akpabio is probably the best governor this country has ever had as regards infrastructure devt, Visit Uyo and you'll be smitten, amaechi has done poorly in urban development and roads within PH....

It is who controls Aso Rock that matters. That's where the funds comes from.
