Post Mid Life Crisis..Debt Free Nicolas Cage is a gem .

Paul Matthews is a recluse academician nobody, who starts appearing randomly in people's dreams and it sees it as an opportunity to up his outlook on life and social status, but it is when these dreams starts becoming nightmares that things begin to take an interesting turn.

The plot is "fresh", not fresh in a way that we haven't seen this before, infact it is right out of the playbook of Inception (2010) which was right out of the playbook of Paparika (2006). It is fresh in the sense that, it is able to take on an already established idea and brilliantly mesh up with current trends to present something that looks totally different and beautiful to see, that don't even fit into any particular genre box cuz sci fi, horror, psychology...it had it all.

Nicolas Cage took up any downbeat role he could find to pay off a debt, post that, he his now able to pick up artsy roles like this that really shows how brilliant of an actor he is, and no better medium to express his new found artistic freedom than an A24 indie gem like this.

This is a top top motion picture.

Mr Cage has always been a great actor. I'm pretty sure his financial troubles were what was influencing his role choices back then. He was accepting every shitty script that came his way as long as it could pay some of his bills.

I enjoyed the movie because it was so...unusual. It's the kind of movie that actually makes you think about the theory of 'hive consciousness'. I'm still not convinced, though, but it sure did make me wonder.

I read somewhere that he ran into a $6m mortgage debt hence he had to scrub up just about any role to pay it off, he's done with that now, and he has the luxury of picking roles like this, and it's like we are getting a different version of him now cuz this new version is different from the "Gone in sixty seconds" version but twice as nice.

My brother!!! In short ehn. I have this magazine service on my phone and I'm always a bit taken aback when the slides and screenshots change to the subject of my WhatsApp and phone conversations. A very glaring example was when I and my sibs were discussing the best airline to book for my mum who was coming from Abuja to Lagos for the hols. After the conversation (family WhatsApp), behold, the magazine slide had changed to an airplane in a hangar. This has happened on more than one occasion.

Whenever I have a conversation on either Whatsapp or network phone call about office work, pens/coffee cups/ road traffic appear on the magazine slides.

Yesterday, I was talking to someone over the phone about a freight container at the Lagos port. After he rang off, guess what I saw on the magazine slide? Your guess is right 🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️
