MajeMedia: Again, you easterners are wallowing in self deceit. Whilst others are investing in heavily in education, you lots are busy playing ethnic cards and money bag politics. Peter Obi spent 7years plus as governor in Anambra, yet He can not boast of a decent school in Anambra. Go to Edo State, the enrolment of kids in schools has increased because now parents are able to send their children to schools that can competite with the private ones in facilities and teachers. Edo State is not there yet but we are matching on, and we will regain the glory that made Bendelites the symbol of academic excellence. Those who are old enough would remember Ambrose Ali viz Awolowo's revive education. Stop deceiving yourself about this nonsensical Igbo philosophy of governance. There is no such, all you have your leaders are visionless, spineless and are only there to feed fat on you! A governor is suppose to have build several schools, hospital, water works, good roads, has failed, unable to account for the money and you are here telling us rubbish philosophy! If this is the philosophy you people want to rule nigeria presidency with then you better stick to your villages. FYI, and go check this out, Edo State has the highest number of institutions of higher learning in Nigeria #FACTS FEW KNOW. 4 Likes |

Omo_Tier1: Who will they rule? For where. Just one of their daughters in public office wasted public funds on 2 cars and they were shouting we should leave the good girl alone because she is their daughter. She was looting their share of national cake for then, as if she is even that magnanimous to be doling it out to them. Nigeria will certainly go bankrupt, if they ever become the president of this country. All the over 250 Nigerian tribes would have become president before they can ever smell it. Presidency is achieved by bridge building and not bridge burning. Their best bet to be a president is through the actualization of their Biafra or republic of igbo land, whichever that suits them. 1 Like |

Obiagu1:FYI, I do not live in Benin, that is my homeland, and you are an immigrant. The fact that you are living in another's place as an immigrant is an indication that your place is no good for you. Unlike your Anambra government, Edo State government has a functional and ever updated website and these you can see the roads that tax payers have constructed through visionary leadership. I dare you again, show me one road Obi has constructed that you can compare to the Fuga or Igarra ossosso road Oshiomhole has constructed. Show me one road from Anambra has good as the one Oshiomhole is constructing that cuts across over 200 villages in Orhiowhon in Edo State, including Abudu. Like I said, We have not arrived yet but are making good progress and that is why we will never again allow bad leadership in Edo State, and you lots can glory in your corruption and worship your looters. 1 Like |

MajeMedia: Ndigbo have had a long and turbulent history with taxes, and they're seen as culturally unjust due to the republican nature of our culture. Thus governments that plan on staying implement low taxes. If Igbos were pro-tax, Nigeria may still be a colony (Aba Woman's riots, attacks and rejection of warrant chiefs etc)Epic, simply epic. This what we call 'Smash and grab' |

Omo_Tier1: Most people in delta see ambrose Alli as a setback for education in the Old Bendel state. His free education WAS NOTHING BUT A TRUCK LOAD OF CRAP. What are you talking about, the over crowded afternoon session schools, no books,no teachers, or his complete destruction of the education standard in the old Bendel state. The man killed all the good works of Ogbemudia in 2 years. But again, you are not from Edo, just keep your noise going. |

Omo_Tier1: While responsible states like Edo are investing in their people for communal growth, wasteful states like Anambra is donating cars to traditional rulers and constructing roads in army barracks. Another state, Enugu just donated about 700 cars to jobless youths, this is for their empowerenent. I wonder how they measure empowerement in East. I want to see a table giving me statistical data on youth empowerement..I hiope Enugu is on top, assuming we find any serious statistician can measure empowerement absent of productivity and gainful employment. Eastern governing principle my a***. |

ichidodo: No need to waste brain power on a mere Maggot-ridden APC yeriba troglodyte when your diseased assses have been set straight, do i? People are talking and a deluded Igbo is saying he is got an idea. the fear of APC will lead to your untimely death or how does APC come into this discussion. If i pick on the school you attended and the hollow heads yanmiri lecturers that examined you and felt this empty head is worthy in learning, they will start whining as usual. |

You guys started this thread to insult igbos. The end result was you felt insulted and are now trying, with anything possible, to desperately bring Igbos down, which is sad. I only wanted to participate in this thread if it was a constructive debate about culture of governance but I see it's nothing but an igbo lynch mobb. You're here trying to tell us that Oshiomole cares more about his state or people than Obi less than a week from when Oshiomole was telling an impoverished widow to go and die. IGBO-SON: Is the above post the reason why you and your people have been begging for 30 long years for a little village bridge even though your worthless and crooked leaders collects taxes and allocations from you? I'll ignore the idiotic comment and instead just say this.. One of the primary obligations of prudent and credible elected officials like Fashola is to build infrastructures like the best and the most sophisticated bridge in the whole of West Africa regardless of ethnic make up of the taxpayers that put him in office, his job is to deliver and give the taxpayers the best bang for their money which your isi ewu leaders don't know how to do. So, going by your assertion, what about the taxpayers in your village? Must they beg for 30years to do what fashola did with taxpayers money in less than 3 years? What are your worthless and incompetent village governors doing with their taxpayers money? You people come up the most i.diotic and reprehensible rubbish I swear. 1 Like |

MajeMedia:so yorubas speak pidgin than the igbos? which planet are you? most of the good Igbo writers were taught by the yoruba teachers and lecturers. you failed to ask chinua achebe before he died. you can still ask some Igbo posters here on nairaland suchas Obinoscopy, Eziachi, CFCfan, Berem, Afam4eva et all if they will be truthful to tell you. |
