It is so annoying how all these networks scheme to defraud innocent people. I wonder if these messages go to the phones of those in authority.

Imagine them sending a message telling you how much dettol costs....This one gets me really angry.

These spam messages are just plain annoying. All the networks are culprits. I guess they are experiencing low turnover because people now use BBM, WhatsApp, 2go, etc to communicate instead of calling & texting like before.

Please, I take God beg NCC or whoever, let them do something about this.

@OP my case is almost the same as yours... First it was xfactor, next Dettol, then TomTom.. now It's their 2million naira ish...
The even went through the stress of helpin' me subscribe to their caller tune service...somethin' I never opted for...

i got the message too. You were tricked. They gave a number that you will call. They even wrote subscription amount(I think it is 50/month) but they said the call is TOLLFREE.

They are logically correct, though dubious. What happened is that immediately you call, you were subscribed. But they didnt charge you for the number of seconds you spent on the call. Clear?

Thank God people have noticed this scam. I was jst telln a friend the other day that there is no diffrence btw MTN and scammers. How will u tell me that i have been rewarded with access to #2000000 and still ask me to activate it by sending one rubbish code to ur criminal computer. U will continue to answer their nonsensical questions to no end, with ur money being deducted. They claim someone just needs 15,000 gold points to enter d draw. I exceeded dat, I amassed over 40,000 gold points but still no sign of closing d useless questions. MTN scam indeed
