Help!!! Problem Installing Netbeans Ide by danvery2k6(m): 10:50am On Dec 14, 2013 |
when i try to install netbeans ide, i get the message "java se binaries have stopped working. please check online for a solution" i've done that but there's no solution online. i've even downloaded and installed a fresh jre6u45 but the problem still persists. am using windows 7 ultimate on intel processor. this problem is peculiar to netbeans, all other programs install correctly. WHAT MUST I DO? |

Its either you didn't "completely" download the software or the one u downloaded is corrupt. Did u recently format your system? |

danvery2k6: The OS u installed might not have the full installation files. Java is probably missing in your OS, to check if java is available if u r using windows go to start and type Java. Or if your system is okay, your friend's computer specs is better than yours.... Since u did not state if it installed or not, I assume it installed correctly but when u run it shows "has stopped working" notice, that only happens if your system specs are low and not powerful enough to run java. Or Upon installing it u don't click all the options it says u should tick before installing, and u r probably not installing in drive C (where the core java files are) do not customize the installation. |

Re: Help!!! Problem Installing Netbeans Ide by Nobody: 10:08am On Dec 15, 2013 |
danvery2k6: Question 1: Is your system 32 bits or 64 bits? To check this right click "computer" and press properties scroll down till you see your "systemtype" it should say something like: 64/32 bit operating system... Or You can check whether your Windows OS is 32-bit or 64-bit via "Control Panel" ⇒ System ⇒ Under the "System Type". Ans: try downloading the correct netbeans version for your system. If your system is 32 bits u'd have to download the 32 bits version for your system and vice versa. If your system is 32 bits and you have 64 bits java installed u'll have to un-install d 64 bits java and install the 32 bits java. |

A million thanks boss. Am using a 32bit os, windows 7 ultimate. the jre and jdk are both 32bit. well am guessing i'll have to reinstall windows again or do some repairs to the installed copy. |
Re: Help!!! Problem Installing Netbeans Ide by Nobody: 3:34pm On Dec 15, 2013 |
uninstall java and restart your system. then install the latest version of Java on your system, the problem is not your OS. its the java file, your system is missing something Java requires, so uninstall Java from control panel --> programs and features -- then look for Java... you will see all the Java installed on your system, there's Java 2 runtime environment, SE v.1.4 Java 2 SDK, SE v1.4 Java(TM) SE dev kit 6 there are 3 other java files I did not mention, that might be there, since you are missing Java SE binaries, one of the above might not be on your system. |
