@SOJMAN..Lol funny enough the same question i ask myself in retrospect. Well bro i came to discover back then i never used to factor MM in my trading and i was very aggressive in my style may be cos of the confidence i had in the method.I remember doubling and trippling my accounts within 1 or 2weeks but when the market ranges i seem to give some portion back to the market.I always looked to pick the tops and bottoms with ignorance of pullbacks and continuation.So as to why i kind of stopped using that method? was becos of the loses i used to incure during ranges and pullbacks in which i use to mistook the later for the beginning of a trend...(ignorance) lol. However,this same thought of how i use to trade back then led me to discover something quite interesting about that method.Something that will enable me trade same method but avoid the ranging period where i incure most of my loses.Trading only when there's trend with high probability of over 90%......Interestingly,this also led to the question i asked few days ago on this thread...Although the signals will not come often but once it shows its with very high probability of success.in other words, it requires patience to wait cos even 1 trade per month can deliver ur target. On the monthly TF it's very bullish BUT there's a down-trending line from April 2013 (Check monthly/weekly TF) which is proving very, very stubborn and this might mean a retracement to ~1250 where we have another very stubborn up-trending line which started from October 2008.

However, I'm looking at a retest of the down-trending line at ~1345 if the 1303 support is not broken decisively today! In other words, I'm still bullish biased until 1303 falls!

US Core Retail Sales is probably going to be a non-event unless we get our tradable deviation. With the Fed policy set in place, market has already priced in a strong recovery, therefore unless we get a real surprise, USD will probably just follow the overall market trend today…

Recommended Pair:

Sell USDJPY if the news came out worse or Sell GBPUSD if it comes out better.
