Condemned in My Place

"Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said, He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him. He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God." (Matthew 27:41-43)

Bearing shame and scoffing rude,
In my place condemned He stood—
Sealed my pardon with His blood:
Hallelujah, what a Saviour!

Through the sham of a trial, they mocked Him and shamed Him.  "They spit in his face, and buffeted him" (Matthew 26:67).  They "platted a crown of thorns, |and| put it upon his head" along with a kingly robe and "they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews" (27:29).  Then they "scourged Jesus, |and| delivered him to be crucified" (27:26).  Finally, they stripped Him of His garments, hung Him naked on the cross, "and sitting down they watched him there" (27:36).  "They that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads" (27:39).

Surely such treatment would be reserved for only the worst sinners, but Pilate called Him "this just person" (v. 24), not deserving of imprisonment or execution.  Yet "they all condemned him to be guilty of death" (Mark 14:64).

He wasn't guilty, but I am, as are all of us.  "For all have sinned" and "the wages of sin is death" (Romans 3:23; 6:23).  He chose to stand condemned where we belong, for God "hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him" (2 Corinthians 5:21).

We have thus been granted full pardon, "sealed unto the day of redemption" (Ephesians 4:30).

The Spotless Lamb of God

"Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, . . . But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot." (1 Peter 1:18-19)

Guilty, vile and helpless we,
Spotless Lamb of God was He;
Full atonement, can it be?
Hallelujah, what a Saviour!

Before God each individual stands as an absolutely guilty sinner.  "There is none righteous, no, not one" (Romans 3:10).  Being more "good" than "bad" doesn't help, "for whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all" (James 2:10).  "We are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags |literally 'used menstrual cloths'|" (Isaiah 64:6).  We are altogether vile and worthless.

Furthermore, we are powerless to change our situation.  Our sins demand the death penalty, "and without shedding of blood is no remission" (Hebrews 9:22).  Either the guilty party must die to pay sin's penalty, or a guiltless party must substitute and pay the penalty instead.  And so, "when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. . . . God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:6-.

This transaction removes our sin from us.  We now stand before a Holy God just as if we had never sinned, and just as if we had always done right, "justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus" (Romans 3:24).

"And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement" (Romans 5:11). Hallelujah, what a Saviour! JDM

and the very exciting thing is we have power over sin because sin shall not have dominion ova us for thesame spirit that raised christ from the dead dwell in us and quickens our mortal bodies to the glory of his name.

                   I Am Teaching You To War

Child of Mine, shake off the things that hinder you and hold you back.
For I say to you that My plans and purposes for you are for you to
overcome and walk in My victory. Know that My victory is not always
the easiest path, for I am training you to war, that you may become
an overcomer.

I am training you to walk in faith and I am training you to trust in
Me. This means I have to put you into trust-producing situations, where
you cannot resolve the situation from your own resources. Watch how I
will come through for you. Do not worry and do not fret. Simply know that
I am faithful and I am able.

I am your deliverer, and just as I delivered the people of Israel from
the bondage of Egypt, so will I bring you into a place of victory in
your own situation. Yes, My deliverance may be slower at times than you
like, but it is dependable and it will surely come. Yes, you may be
asked to "gather straw to make your own bricks" as I work My deliverance
in your situation. In other words, things may appear to get worse
before they get better. Do NOT fret when this occurs. Know that I
am with you and I will lift you up and I will bring you to that land
flowing with milk and honey. I will cause you to possess the land and
I will deliver victory into your hands, for I am able and I am ever with
you and I am mighty on your behalf.

Yes, I am teaching you to war and yes, I am teaching you to overcome. My
plans for you are good. My victory is sweet and My promises are true.
Do not grow faint, do not loose heart. Do not look to your circumstances,
but looke to Me, your rock and your deliverer. I am with you and none of
the plans of the enemy against you shall prevail. Keep your eyes fixed
on Me. Be attentive to My voice and My leading. Be quick to obey what
I command. I will empower you and I will make you an overcomer as you
watch Me and do what I am doing in My timing and at My direction.

Shout with joy, child of Mine, for your victory is at hand. I will teach
you to war effectively and I will lead you into the victory. I will
restore your strenght and your ferver so that you are able to take the
land I have given you. I have called you to victory, I have destined you
as an overcomer, and I will deliver your enemy into your hand. You will
enjoy the spoils of victory and all that you have lost shall be restored to
you many times. This is My plan and My purpose for you.

So gird up your lions, restore your strength and hope in Me. For I will
bring it to pass and I will fight with you on your behalf and I will thrust
you into the place of victory. This is My destiny for you. I have ordained
you to be an overcomer through My power and My anointing. Rise up child
of Mine, and learn to war. For as you fight at My direction, I shall give
you the victory.

My children, I love you with an everlasting love. I care for you,
and My Spirit is your assurance that My power will rest in and with

Many of you truly have a zeal to do My will. I have noted it, and I
am pleased that you want to know Me in a deeper way. But you have
found that you occasionally encounter a stumbling block in your prayer
requests, and don't understand why your petitions seem to go
unanswered. You have forgotten that I, the Lord your God, will never
violate My Holy Word, nor its precepts and principles. For in these,
you will have the true authority to do exploits in the spirit realm.

I will never empower or give approval to a child of disobedience.

So when you are tempted, you claim the promise in My Word to 'resist
the devil and he will flee.' But when you succumb to the temptation
anyway, you grieve in agony and shed a multitude of tears because
of your failure amidst the test. In that case, you have entered the
battle without your armor.

Prior to the trial, you forgot that the first part of the promise
says: "Submit yourselves therefore to God." That, My be loved, is
the first part. It is only after doing the first part that you can
claim and appropriate the second part: ", resist the devil and he
will flee from you."

When you desire something or want a situation to turn around, you
claim the promise in My Word to ", ask what you will and it shall
be done unto you." Yet, when your desire falls short, you withdraw
in disappointment, or dismiss it altogether that it must have not
been My will to make it happen. My dear child, I say unto you, do
the first part: "If you abide in Me and My words abide in you, "

The key is your abiding in Me. As you walk with Me, I will share deep
and rich secrets that the world cannot receive. You cannot walk
contrary to My Holy Word and yet expect the same anointing and
blessing to abide with you. But if you yield unto Me, and die to that
rebellious self-serving tendency of the flesh, you will open the door
to a new dimension of faith that I, the Lord your God, will have
manifest in your life.

Remember that I love you. And whosoever I love, I correct and chasten.
If you allow my correction to take hold, then afterwards it shall
yield the peaceable fruit of righteousness in your life.

It is Finished!

"As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:14-15)

The people of Israel many times rejected God's plan and ways.  Once their complaining brought deadly serpents into the camp as a judgment of God (Numbers 21:5-7).  In response to Moses' intercessory prayer, God said: "Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and . . . every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live" (v. .

This episode provides a clear illustration of our sinfulness and God's remedy.  As in our text, those who look upon the cross of Christ with the eyes of faith, believing that His death provides a glorious remedy for our sin-wracked souls, will not only "live," but will have "eternal life."

While on that "pole," Almighty God died as "the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world" (1 John 2:2).  This infinitely difficult work had been initiated at the time when sin first entered into and thereby spoiled creation (Genesis 3).  And as He completed His sacrifice, He cried out "with a loud voice" (Luke 23:46) the awesome victory cry: "It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost" (John 19:30).

But death does not end the story, for the grave could not hold the Creator of life.  He rose in victory over death and the grave, thereby conquering sin, its power and penalty forever, for "when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high" (Hebrews 1:3).  Hallelujah, what a Saviour! When He Comes

"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

When He comes our glorious King,
All His ransomed home to bring,
Then anew this song we'll sing;
Hallelujah, what a Saviour!

The sacrificed, risen, and exalted Christ will one day return in glorious victory to the earth. The King of creation will restore His creation to its original created intent, and reign over it in majesty: "The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever" (Revelation 11:15).

Furthermore, as we see in the text above, we shall be with Him, whether alive or dead, when He returns and reigns--a cause of much rejoicing and singing throughout eternity. "And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy . . . for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth" (Revelation 5:9-10).

Through His mighty work of redemption, we have been ransomed out of slavery to sin. Our sins have been washed away, we have been clothed in His righteousness, and made fit to live forever with Him as His bride. "Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready" (Revelation 19:6-7). Hallelujah, what a Saviour! JDM

Abba Father we come to You, in the Name of Messiah, Jesus Christ and repent of hardheadedness, stubbornness, rebellion, unwillingness to be taught, spiritual pride, trying to destroy or stop Your apostles, prophets and leadership, disrespect for authority, the abuse of authority, attempts to infiltrate leadership, instigation of fear, idolisation of own ideas and traditions, emotional manipulation, deception, walking with fleshly desires and evoking an Ahab spirit in others.

Killing spiritual children. That we have distorted other people’s words to look good by means of lies and underhandedness.That we put blame and suspicion on others, dominated, intimidated and manipulated others,didn’t obey Your Word, discouraged others, lead others into uncomfortable situations, pride, arguments and tantrums. We repent being used by the Jezebel spirit to accuse others falsely, cause bitterness, criticize, humiliate, desire material wealth to put us or others in financial difficulties, practice sexual immorality, intimidate by means of fear, bring bondages on others, control others through a religious mask of knowledge, secretive works to impress, unique experiences and super spirituality, have anger outbursts and subsequently create confusion, step on people to get what we want and focus the lime light on our self instead of on You by saying it’s about You but we must get the attention.

Father, we repent of the abuse of authority, criticism, causing others to feel like failures, deceiving others by adding tales that are not the truth, breaking others down to hide own incapability, changing what You have said to adapt to own desires for that specific time and day and then prove it with Scriptures. Manipulation through withholding sex or humiliating our partner’s abilities to break them down while putting others in captivity of isolation and depression, not allowing others to be released in their Spiritual callings, using tears to soften people and thereby getting our own ways and humiliating others by using Your Word as a weapon.

Talking too much and always wanting to be the centre of every group of people, having anger outbursts, bringing confusion and destruction, being a “twister and turner”, creating tension in close relationships, being a manipulator on stages to captivate audiences and making people believe things that are not Scriptural.

These are occult powers, compromise, idolatry, immorality, domination, intimidation, manipulation and false religion by ignoring Your discipline and not having respect for You! Father we acknowledge these cords of satan in us, in the Bride, our nation and in our government. We take the Sword of the Spirit to sever these cords, in the Name of Messiah Yeshua! Please cleanse us from these sins and iniquities!

We curse these fruits of satan in our lives with death and ask You to deliver us, in Messiah Yeshua’s Name! We break every curse of a bed of anguish and suffering, down-heartedness,utmost judgement, death, humiliation and unclothedness, slavery, senility, homosexuality, cancer, schizophrenia, divorce, female domination, male domination, incest, blasphemy, loss of children, loss of marriage partner, disaster, destruction or evil, loneliness and desolation, witchcraft and persecution! Father we repent of all of these curses. We forgive those who brought them on us and we ask You to turn these curses into blessings. Father please deliver us from all the evil forces involved that kept these curses in place. Please fill up these areas of our lives with Your Love. We surrender it to You, in Messiah Yeshua’s Name!

He has not only saved us spirit and soul, but this our vile bodies will be changed and we shall have the glorious body that the Lord now has.  We are surely more than conquerors through Jesus Christ who gave us the victory.

Jesus also said "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by me." -- John 14:6

Do you believe this?  If you do then you are a believer.  Jesus is the One who said He is the only way to the Father and for any religious person to say that there are other ways to find peace with God is to bear false testimony.  In one sweeping statement, Jesus discards all other religions as a means of finding forgiveness of sins.  This agrees with other Scriptures.  "Neither is their salvation in any other: for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved" -- Acts 4;12, and "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" -- 1 Timothy 2:5
