The word 'antichrist' comes from the Greek word antichristos, pronounced an-tee'-khris-tos and means; an opponent of the Messiah. The word only appears four times in scripture, all in the Epistles of John, yet, nowhere in the Revelation to John, and has been one of the most exploited words in Christianity.
It has now come to mean a man, who will be charismatic and popular, establish a world government, set up a world religion, and proclaim himself to the Christ, while standing in the rebuilt Temple in Jerusalem. This mindset has deceptively been programmed into the minds of many millions, who are unaware that neither the man, nor the scenarios attributed to him are found anywhere in the Bible. It is fiction made fact by simple repetition.

Bottom-line; the sermons, books, and movies you have been exposed to, about this very charismatic man taking over the world and proclaiming himself the Savior, are pure fiction and have no foundation in scripture.

The person, or persons, called antichrist, or antichrists, in the Bible were alive and practicing their evil trade when the scriptures were written. There are no depictions of or descriptions of being or doing any of the things the mainstream Christian church blindly accept as doctrine.

How better a way to deceive the masses than have them looking for a man, when the true power is so much bigger and, so plainly, obvious. Here are the four verses, in context, where the words 'antichrist' and 'antichrists' appear and the proof that they are not part of the end time’s events.

♦ "Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all." (I John 2:18 -19)
John is clearly saying this individual and many others called 'antichrists' actually came from within the first church, were with them previously and were alive at that time.

♦ "But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth. Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also." (I John 2:20 -23)
The "Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist," is not only a description but said in the present tense.

♦ "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world." (I John 4:1 -3)
This individual John is describing is living in John's world as he is writing the words.

♦ "For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward." (II John 1:7 -
Again, the present tense phrases "are entered into the world" and "is a deceiver and an antichrist" shows that this person is known and in their world.

The word 'antichrist', or the plural of it, is not referred to in the Revelation, and neither are any of the actions he supposed to take. Certainly, the fact that there is no reference to a world leader, a person who will "claim to be God", some charismatic leader that will take over as a world ruler, or anything resembling that in the prophecies Jesus revealed to John could not be a simple oversight. The main character and all of his lines are missing from the Bible the true false prophets of the end times are trying to use as the basis for their script.
The actual person John is referring to is probably Simon Magus, also known as Simon the Sorcerer, spoken of in Acts 8:9-14, who tried to offer money to the Apostles in exchange for miraculous abilities
