guys i just rounde up my nysc on 11th september 2008. i applied for msc in finance in abia state university uturu.though i finished from that school with 2.1 in the same course. my people are saying i should get a job first before going for masters bcs they are not giving me a dime. but i have only 200k with me and am bent on going for it (ie) part time and still be looking for job pls guys what is ur advice i need ur contribution so i will not regret tomorrow.

Wot i'll advise u is 2 follow ur dreams. 4rm xperience dis is d best time 2 do ur master cos d brain is fresh. Besides,dis doesn't stop u 4rm huntin 4 jobs. Pls go 4 it b4 u spent all ur money on irrelevances. D earlier d better!

ayzone has given u d best advice any one dat likes u would give u, but u have a bigger role 2 play,u either follow it or folllow ur heart, im a fresh graduate too,n i wish i had an opportunity like yours, gd luck

getting an msc b4 securing a job offer is an added advantage 4 u,,,,u come out better than ur peers that is for sure. i dont think it is a hard decision to make,my friend; one thing is certain, u dont av a job offer anywhere yet so what will u be doing at home if u dont do the masters?watching tv?

guys i thank you for all your advice. the point is that i have already picked up the form and the names are going to be shotlisted by middle of the month. so iam bent on looking for a job and at the same time use the money i have to start the programme first.b4 i will exaust the money god will give me a job

Go and get a job man. I don't know how you folks think these days. With a 2:1, one would expect that you'd know what next to do with your career. Work experience is superior to qualification anyday, anywhere in the world. No wonder some B Sc in Naija can't hold up at work because they got the pali thru God knows what means.

With or w/o a masters, you start at entry level; so why waste your time and money? How sure are you that while staying in Uturu, that you'd be able to run around to hunt for a job and attend interviews.

So much for your 2:1, wake up!
