shikshark: definitely whatever happened to nairaland is the work of hackers and they might have stumbled upon a lot of user profiles and passwords. that is why it is not ideal to used the same password for different sites

it was probably the same type of thing that happened to facebook last week, it was off for a couple of hours (was wondering if someone flipped a switch somewhere).

there was also an ebay hack last month.

although i thought nl would be down for a long time sha, going by seun's posts.

You cant be running the "largest site in nigeria abi africa" and not expect to be attacked..
