Nah will be only temporal. Let your mom break the news, if your mom won't be able to do it, let ur friend man up and break the news, in fact, I will prefer him doing it. At 24, he is no longer a kid. Let him start with the parent he is closet to, they won't kill him, and inside that stern posture, will be a joy of being a Grandparent.
