She came awake at 8:09am. Linda shut her eyes in pains.
She placed her right hand on her forehead as she desparately try to think.
The headache she felt was unbearable. So much for the bottles she consumed last night.
'finally awake my sweetypie'
Henry said as he strolled lazily into the room.
'I thought i have to wake you up'
He stood by the bed and watched as She opened her eyes. She moaned in pains.
'I feel horrible Henry'
Linda weakly told him. Henry smiled at her.
'serves you right Linda. You drank too much last night'
'I know'
Henry went out and came back with a glass of water. He opened the bedside drawer and removed a sachet of panadol extra.
He unsealed two out of the sachet and handed it over to Linda who sat up and swallowed it.
She drank the water and gave back the glass to Henry.
'just lie back for an hour and allow the med do it's magic.
Believe you me sweetypie, i know exactly how you feel'
He draw the covers to her and march out of the room.
Linda let the tears fall. She loved him so much she practically worshiped the ground he walked on.
Why is it that he was so blind to all these. What had happened the previous day had threw up her off balance.
Although she knew and had accepted the fact that she wasn't alone in Henry's world, she had never really felt so hurt.
Well, she had never walked in on Henry with another woman. Doing that yesterday had unnerved her.
Another fat tear rolled down her cheeks. She used her hands to wiped away the tears that kept coming.
She soon fell asleep with the Henry and Sandra in her thoughts.

She had just left the boutique and was about walking to the parking lot for her car when she bumped into Ruth.
'hy Linda, how far with you?'
'I'm fine'
Linda said and hurriedly tried to bypass Ruth. The last thing she wanted was having Ruth remind her that they share Henry.
'not so fast ma'am'
Ruth called after Linda.
'what is it?'
Linda asked.
'Sandra told me all you did last week. Never you try that fiasco on me. I'm warning you, Linda'
'Linda turned and continued walking away. She had nothing to say. And for the first time since she had met Henry two years ago, Linda hated herselve.
She hated the fact that she shared him with these ladies.
She didn't let the tears fall. She held her head as high as she could and cat walked to her car.
She pretended not to see the different eyes watching her and their mocking stares.
She drove out of the lot and into the highway before letting the tears drop.
At home, she went straight to bed and cried her eyes out.
'We both know he will never marry you'
Sandra's words came repeating in her head over and over again.
Sandra is right. What is she doing? Henry will never marry her. She was just wasting her time and stooping so low as to allow these girls tell her all trash.
The next day, Linda didn't leave the comfort of her house. She called to inform her boss that she was a bit under the weather.
Her father called her that noon.
'goodafternoon dad'
'my baby, are you ill?'
'No, what mades you think so?'
'your voice. It's so unlike you. It sounds as if you've been crying'
Linda couldn't help herselve. She burst into fresh tears. Her father was the only one who understood her.
'Talk to me Linda'
'No dad, this is private and i intend taking care of it. Don't insist, i won't tell you.
Bye dad, will give you a call soon'
she ended the call without giving her father a chance to say another word.
'I won't cry again Henry. I have cried enough'
Linda said as she made up her mind on the decision to take.
She was leaving Abuja for good.
'It's time to live a responsible life away from Henry'
