Yes the clueless one certainly knows what he is doing; by removing Professor Ruqayatu Rufai, the erstwhile Minister of Education and replacing her with the Ikwere tout, Nyesom Wike who oversaw the six month ASUU strike and who also couldnt put an end to the on-going eleven month old polythecnic lecturers strike.

Ret.rdeen Goatluck has appointed Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau as the new minister of education, lets see if he would be able to resolve the polythecnic lecturers strike

I doubt if the new minister has any liking for western education!

Only in Jonathan's administration are ministers appointed to fight perceived enemies of the president leaving their ministerial duties. If Musiliu Obanikoro is not rigging election in Ekiti State and using army thugs to invade Lagos,Nyesom Wike is fighting Amaechi to become the next governor of Rivers State.

In fairness to Mr Wike....he has been trying.

The issue is that there isn't enough cash to fund universities and polytechnics.....no one is ready to admit it.....because that means that fees may be raised....and that is a political no-go area.

As an example....Mr Wike and the Poly lecturers hammered out a salary agreement ages ago....only for it to be rejected by the Salaries and Wages Commission.
