I am sorry but this is the end of Mikel's career. His situation was worsened by his lacklustre world cup performance. If Pirlo and klose could still be banging in goals at their age, Mikel has no exuse for his woeful performance. I guess Mourinho has been vindicated!.......Moses next on the line unless he improves drastically..

I still believe he has it in him.. We all know Mikel of 2005 till 2013 fo Nigeria. We all know of his club exploits till 2012/2013. And we agree he was great all that while.
Is a single underperfomed season sufficient to write him off?
I think he will bounce back to greatness once he joins a club which realises his huge potential and use him as a regular.
It's in him.

Who wouldn't offload a slowpoke? If not, he had better resume back chelsea with a seat belt to seat on bench.

I know it excite you to bring bad news about your own brother while u exalt foreigner just because Mikel refused to join MANU. This country is a course. Tell me one player that covered more distance in nigeria squad like Mikel. I work with statistics. Mikel covered 39.7 km in 4 games at the WC. No Nigerian player covered 38km appart from him. Tell me how can a sloww person cover more distance than your so called fast players. Let us promote our people, what did nig achieved in south africa when mikel did not play? Why did nigeria lost to USA when they removed mikel and onazi played.

HAH: See yabbing, this same mikel that some people said was cheated for the. APOY 2013

Some chelsea fans even said he is better than Yaya toure
,

Mikels best bet is turkey or championship no thanks to poor performance at the world cup.

And this guy wears no 10 for naija, abeg they should shartpaly give that number 10 to Onazi

I was among the over patriotic Nigerian, I've since ask God for forgiveness.

Paroman: Mikel is not as bad as all you morafuckers seem to paint him. The same guy y'all are calling all sorts of names had a tournament in SA last year and he was our best player at the confederations cup. He had a poor worldcup, so? Same as Costa, Xavi, Gerrard, Casillas and a host of other good players too. If Mikel should leave Chelsea today, he will gain his ground in whichever team he finds himself. I remember how Arsenal fans were all saying all of sorts of rubbish about Gervinho during his time there, currently he is a god at Roma. Mikel leaving Chelsea would be a blessing not just for him but also for the National team too.
we reject his blessing IJN

Which club wouldn't sell mikel after seeing his sluggish, snail-like performance at the World Cup? Clubs want quick thinking players not some stunted guy who's refused to evolve.

What price is Chelsea asking for, I'm curious.. Surely they can't expect to get more that £500k for mikel.

Bros, don't bring physics into this, no need of calculating distance and speed yet, if he did well, let Chelsea and maurinho be the judge.

mourinho just get ready to be fired by the end of this season cos u'l definitely go trophyless again dis season. the success of Chelsea has indirectly revolved around mikel, history gives d best answer: AVB came with his racism, benched mikel and was fired, Di Matteo came and used mikel as a key player, he had the champions league to show for it. Benitez came, in his first stint did bench mikel and nearly got fired, he latter buckled up by reinstating mikel into his plan and was rescued by an Europa trophy. Mouth-running mourinho came and started using mikel, he had a stable team until wen mikel obi came back to contest caf award with yaya toure. on getting back to chelsea he was benched all through and the resultant effect is a trophylesss season. this time around, I see mourinho going trophyless again and getting fired.

Honestly we need to, especially those that first compared Mikel with Messi, chai that na insult to football.

I promised myself after the group stage match, never to support mikel in any argument.

My brother,

You are barking up the wrong tree. I am one of Mikel's strongest defenders
on NL. Check my old posts. Even when all of you were criticizing his world
cup performance, I still stood behind him. The fact is that leaving Chelsea
may turn out to be good for Mikel. For the past few years, he has become
nothing more than a fringe player at Chelsea. He rarely starts any games
for Chelsea and has permanently become a bench player.

A player of his quality can make the first eleven in many EPL teams. So it may
be better for him to leave Chelsea now. As long as he does not go to Man U
or Arsenal.
