What is all this stress about? Why do we refer to doctors as life savers while they can only look helplessly many dying patients until they give up the ghost. Doctors and all other health workers only care for patient.

you cant compare the salary of doctors in different societies.. too many factors.. while i feel like doctors in nigeria should command a premium, i dont think they should compare themselves to doctors in the US.. They don't rack up $300k in student loans to go to school, the cost of living is way different and healthcare is the US is way advanced.. I think Nigerian doctors deserve a raise but the US isn't a good yardstick.. How come no one is complaining about legislators and senators allowances in Nigeria? But I am also aware that in some school of nursing (in Nigeria), student nurses are paid whereas medical students are not.
I disagree with you completely.
Anytime they are taking a survey, they take a survey of people in similar group. There is no way they will compare salary of a medical consultant to that of an entry nurse.
To make headway in this argument we must decide to use USA as our case study and then look at how much they pay specialist nurses and specialist doctors, entry level nurse and entry level doctor (GP or medical officer). Resident doctors are in school I guess, so we can only compare them to those in school of nursing.
