The concept of Jihad as a spiritual struggle only emerges in the 11th century, about 500 years after Muhammad. The term 'jihad' in the time of Muhammad meant almost exclusively a war. In the Quran, Sura 9 repeatedly exhorts Muslims to carry out holy war on non-believers until they submit (see 9:29). Muhammad was following instructions from 'god' to attack the Byzantine Empire even though they had not attacked him. This was to be purely a war of aggression. After Muhammad's death his followers carried out those plans.

I should add that the 9th sura was the second to last sura in the Quran, and therefore, according to Islamic jurisprudence, cancels out any previous sura which conflicts with it. If you look strictly at the order in which Muhammad composed the suras of the Quran, you will see that they start out very peacefully, but as time goes on they get more and more aggressive and war-like, especially once he became powerful. In the early days, when people laughed at him and insulted him, he did not respond in kind, but once he became powerful, he ordered his critics and rivals put to death. In addition, there is an example from Muhammad's life where his army captures 'enemy' women and kept them as slaves including using them for sex....just in case you are wondering where BH gets some of their ideas....

Colly-no-brain, when are you going to buy a new brain? I heard there are a few available in the black market for some loose change, do you want one?

You actually want bombs to go off in a city of more than 20 million heads, don't you? And when they give them the green-light to start killing all the non-Yoruba's, you lot are going to be the first to soak-up everywhere with your sorrowful tears, screaming genocide till the end of time. Don't think your people won't be part of the collateral damage if it kicks, because when it comes bottled-up anger - everyone is a target. And I'm sure there are tons of Yoruba thugs out there who can't stand your people, and best believe that will give them the leeway to attack them as well.

Also, let's say it kicks off now, and everyone is asked to go to his/her state of origin - we know who the biggest losers would be. Keep calling them cowards till they burn that bit.ch down, and give everyone the Tutsi treatment.

This one na Boko Haram and if you want them to react,na im be say na atlantic ocean. Thats why their governors are trying to cover it. Make we help their governor save their subjects because that place na the birth place of cowards. Oduduwa escaped from heaven and fall on that land,so,the only military tactics they know is 'escape'

[quote author=kimond101]The Quran repeatedly urges forgiveness and restraint, and warns believers not to "transgress" or become "oppressors"

Some examples:
If anyone slays a person
- unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land -
it would be as if he slew all people.
And if anyone saves a life,
it would be as if he saved the life of all people.
Quran 5vs12

Invite all to the way of your Lord
with wisdom and beautiful preaching.
And argue with them
in ways that are best and most gracious...
And if you punish,
let your punishment be proportional
to the wrong that has been done to you.
But if you show patience, that is indeed the best course.
Be patient, for your patience is from God.
And do not grieve over them,
or distress yourself because of their plots.
For God is with those who restrain themselves,
and those who do good.
Quran 16:125-128

Oh you who believe!
Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to God,
even against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin,
and whether it be against rich or poor,
for God can best protect both.
Follow not the cravings of your hearts, lest you swerve,
and if you distort justice or decline to do justice,
verily God is well acquainted with all that you do.
Quran 4:135

The recompense for an injury
is an injury equal thereto (in degree),
but if a person forgives and makes reconciliation,
his reward is due from God,
for God loves not those who do wrong.
But indeed, if any do help and defend themselves
after a wrong done to them,
against such there is no cause of blame.
The blame is only against those who oppress men
with wrongdoing and insolently transgress
beyond bounds through the land,
defying right and justice.
For such there will be a penalty grievous (in the Hereafter).
But indeed, if any show patience and forgive,
that would truly be an affair of great resolution.
Quran 42:40-43

Goodness and evil are not equal.
Repel evil with what is better.
Then that person with whom there was hatred,
may become your intimate friend!
And no one will be granted such goodness
except those who exercise patience and self-restraint,
none but people of the greatest good fortune.
Quran 41:34-35"

No religion preaches terrorism.
We have to come together as a whole nation to condemn this evil acts.
Criticising Islam wouldn't solve any problem.
True muslims are affected directly/indirectly aswell as these evil men (terrorists) don't consider the tribe or religion before carrying out their evil motives.
We have to stand as one nation apply the 'operation-know-your-neighbour' rule cause it's an open enemy that is easy to fight. But the one we don't know would prove tasking to eradicate.
We seem to forget there is someone called 'Satan' and not everyone who claims to be fighting for God Truely is doing that, God is Love(Al-Wadud) and the giver of peace(As-Salam). Satan wants to frustrate muslims into hiding their identity because of the evils of these evil man and his group.
Everyman was bestowed with a thinking faculty (brain), it is how we use it that matters.
There's more to life than that which meets the eyes.
May God help this nation and destroy those with the motive of destabilising this nation.

Your Quran tells you all this and there is still war and voilence in almost all Islamic Nations. Tell me 1 Islamic Nation that is peaceful. You people are never a Religion of peace, Voilence smell all over you

Nah, biblical hell is an illusion - we don't know if it exists or not.

However, collateral damage a la hell on earth awaits them.

Both those culpable and those taunting the victims are legitimate targets.

Ever heard of ''prevention is better than cure''?
Or ''a stitch in time saves nine''? We value human lives greatly were we come from and will do anything to prevent unnecessary loss of lives in our land unlike you fools who bother about other people's problems and ignore the ones in your backyard.
The whole of Nigeria knows what will happen if boko haram carries out any attack in the east.
Despite all your threats upon threats, they attacked Lagos and killed 5 people yet all you cowards could do is cover it up.
Cowardice is in your genes and there is nothing you or anyone else can do about it.
