Sweetlemon:A Taiwanese man died in Nigeria of SARS... But did it spread? Don't underestimate the Nigeria Spirit. We de wait for ebola make e come SARS fears reached Africa's most populous country after a Taiwanese businessman died in Nigeria of a suspected case of the flu-like disease, while China's infection toll surged past 5000 amid worries the illness could devastate undeveloped provinces. Health officials believed the man - who died on February 28 - had been in contact with about 30 Nigerians in Kano and Lagos, the country's biggest city. All have been placed under medical surveillance and six developed "flu-like symptoms" but fully recovered, Nigeria's health minister Alphonsus Nwosu said. http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2003/05/13/1052591787440.html 1 Like |

babestella: viruses are just too stupid, they infect and invade their host, and then kill it, not knowing that if their host is well contained before & after death, that will be the end of the virus. Depends on the type of viruses....and the human body's response to the various viruses. Most viruses are self limiting. A good example is the common cold virus...cause of your cattarh....which does not kill, but causes you a lot of discomfort. Some viruses have variable effects on the human body....like Polio which can have effects ranging from fever to paralysis to respiratory failure. And some kill quick like Ebola. Ebola's ability to make you leave your mortal coil depends a lot on how your body's immune system responds to it. A certain immune response is considered protective 1 Like |

Sweetlemon:Sars and bird flu are deadlier than ebola.. Any airborne virus is deadlier than any other virus in the world.. Bird flu killed in thousands, and can be spread thru ordinary sneezing unlike ebola. Bird flu killed thousands in China alone. We were able to cub it because there was awareness... There has been ebola outbreak on the past.. It will come and go.. With proper awareness etc. But the government should spend more money on research facilities and science laboratories instead of wasting money to send people to mecca and Jerusalem to become more retarded. 4 Likes |

25 July 2014 Last updated at 12:55 GMT A hunt has been launched in Sierra Leone's capital, Freetown, for a woman with Ebola who was forcibly removed from hospital by her relatives. Radio stations around the country are appealing for help to find the 32-year-old who is being described as a "risk to all". She is the first Freetown resident to have tested positive for the virus. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-28485041 |
