They don't maltreat Nigerians. We maltreat ourselves. It's time to let them do their works! Must you work there? Leave those modafucking bastards to do their arduous work alone. they are so enslaving Nigerians in Nigeria . I don't blame them, I blame federal government. For awarding them too many cheap contracts . 1 Like |

onoerime: Guyz what are your suggestions and ways to curb this menace Bro, the only way out is for whoever the labourer is to resign if he is not satisfied with his working condition. Most comments before mine have highlighted it all, our leaders have sold us out cheap. A similar thing is happening at my place of work but since non of us have another option, we have to remain in the job. Imagine! If you even complain to anybody now, what you'll hear is ' tender your resignation'. I pray I can do that soon or just talk a walk because the tool to work is not very much available and yet they tell your ur not performing. |

I remember some years ago when west african rubber products (WARP) lockd their workers on overnight duty in the factory and there was a fire outbreak that killed the woRkers. What happened? Or is it the lebanese boss who beat a pregnant Nigeria woman sometime ago we wanna talk about? I wud rather learn a trade or skill rather than undertake such life shortening jobs with slave drivers as bosses. I think its high time nigerians started publicizing these things criosly maybe human rights org and responsible govts like Lagos state govt can do somfin about it @ least 3 Likes |

Nigeria is too corrupt. so to say. Labour congress do go to every company especially construction companies for inspection on how the man powers are been treated. When they get to companies like ccecc and the rest, they will be bought over. And case closes there. Even those Nigerians who have high ranks in the company contribute immensely to the problem. They help in making Nigerians look cheap before those slaves. Ccecc is the only construction company that sack and recruit massively daily. 1 Like |

Why are Nigerians maltreating Nigerians? If our leaders don't give a damn about us, why should foreigners do? I sincerely think you asking the wrong question... We hate each other so much, it's unbelievable... What annoys me the most about my country is that we expert at owing employees renumeration and salaries... A heartless man from above will just run away with employees' money and pension, and nothing go happen... I sincerely don't want Nigerians to be treated poorly by foreigners but we have weak or nonexistent labour laws in place to prevent such practices. Even if you decide to take your china-man to a Nigerian court, your Nigerian judges go collect money from the China-man you've brought to court and tell u to vamoose.. 1 Like |

It is a circle of hurt really. same way the American and European companies maltreat the Chinese in their country. Every big company like to move to where they wages are cheap and worker protection laws are weak. From the perspective of the government, the job are needed no matter how bad you see it. 3 Likes |

Sometime ago, i witnessed an incident at Trans Amadi, PH where some mopol guys escorting a lebanese beat the living daylight outa a driver because he didn't clear from the road for them to transport their almighty foreigner. They only left him after breaking his windshield. Meanwhile, those were guys instituted to protect the lives and properties of common Nigerians. After the act those policemen put up in the presence of the lebanese, i'm wondering why he won't maltreat his employees assuming he is an employer. How on earth are these foreigners supposed to respect and take us seriously? It's really PATHETIC to say the least. Back to topic... @ op because NIGERIA is a useless country. All you get for being Nigerian is fighting for yourself, there is no country whatsoever! 7 Likes |

Since there are no jobs, people will take up any job irrespective of the salary in order to survive. It is the duty of the government and the labour unions like the NLC to protect the interest of the Nigerian workers. 1 Like |

xp17: its the culture of Nigerians to pass blames to the next person for their misfortune. if really you train yourself enough to standout, no one ll treat you like a poo. This is the kind of mentality i don't like about nigerians. When few individuals train themselves and standout will it solve the problem? We are looking for a way of solving collecting problem and not individualist way of solving such problem. The root has been corrupt so how do we correct the root and re plant the tree to bear a fresh fruit that's the essence of these thread. 8 Likes |
