nerodenero: It is well.Hope we get it right in 2015 by voting the right people irrespective of political party, ethnic group and religión.

May His Grace sustain us...

2015 shall be a significant vote for Nigeria and Nigerians.

Election Rigging is Dead already

Picking of candidates without party primaries is dead as well.

I must commend the minister of health on this.

This is one scenario Nigeria stood up to the occasion.

DjAndroid: Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, Monday said all the patients who had tested positive to the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) and currently undergoing treatment at the Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba, were in “stable condition”.

The governor also explained that while the health status of the victims of the deadly virus had not deteriorated, five of them were “really improving,” adding, “Ebola is not an automatic death sentence.”
Bitter kola, salt and Akpu. No Liberian virus can withstand that kind of deadly combo. Nigeria sufferhead has built up our immune system. tongue

I pray for their full recovery.

Great news.

If detected early and treated, the disease can be managed, not cured (they usually treat it with blood infusions and intravenous solutions, to regulate the organs). However, most of the nurses (who didnt take enough precautions to protect themselves whilst treating the Liberian), turned down immediate quarantine (the doctors didn't). Thats why they waited till symptoms started and then it's usually much harder to manage.

Liberia getting the cure before us is a good thing, of the 3 countries badly affected, they have the most wherewithal to travel and spread it internationally. Nigeria right now hasn't reached epidemic stage. If your roof is leaking, will you focus on bailing the water out first or stopping the leak, so as to reduce the amount of water you bail? Common Sense.

and btw, the US doesn't really care about your homosexuality laws (they're still giving visas to Nigeria and still doing business, right). What they don't like is your govt and your politicians, who is putting the country at risk of splitting up (which would require a Humanitarian effort and money and supplies to "save dem poor Africans, as usual" much more than what they give Sudan). Obama's foreign policy is to stay out of other countries' internal wahala, he said so dring his first campaign after the debacle of Afghanistan and Iraq. He's only arming Syrian rebels now that ISIS is conquering territory and recruiting westernised muslims.

Thank God for healing but more importantly, insist on better governance. And please give credit to LASG, I don't like Fashola but I know what he ordered his people to do to curb this, whilst the billions from FG haven't yet been sent. The Min of Health is parroting the news the State Commissioner gives him. The jingles you heard about Ebola on the radio was done by LASG, quaranting of secondary contacts was done by LASG, pickup of infected contacts, by LASG. MMIA Immigration still don't know what to do if they see a possible case (they hadn't been taught as of last week) Most of the nurses turned down being quarantined. So kudos to Fashola and his people.

Got everything I said?

Not exactly....if your immune response is good....plus if you start (supportive) treatment early....you will survive Ebola.

The problem we have in this country is that we don't believe in our self, Nigerians are very brilliant and intelligent people, have we ever wondered why we Nigerians do better outside this country? The problem is that our Government are not ready to invest in Education n research, all we need do is to focus.. I pray they all recover in JESUS name Amen!
