Enugu (rape)statistics was the focus of Radio Nigeria network news at 7am this morning.

With over 80 rapists related cases reported in 3 months some of them inflicted on children and 80 year old women, this issue threatening to rewrite the history of the coal city .

The Focus of this Nairaland version is to proffer solutions to the rising rate of thes cases in Nigeria especially in Enugu state.

Our daughters, our sisters and even our grand mothers who are now been targeted do not deserve such barbaric and demonic treatment.

NB : this is a serious matter as such ,I will advice Pedophiles, Rapists and Unintelligent ''posters'' and thread "derailers" to kindly stay of this thread !

80 cases in 3 months!

In a state of well over 3 million.
That is probably the lowest rate of rape I have come across anywhere in the world

Even Ibadan records more than that in a month.

Maybe public beheading of convicted rapists will discourage others planning to follow suit.

We're over-populated in this Country and reducing criminals is needed.

Enugu state is a state where rape means nothing to the people. Its a common thing there. There gov Chime, was once accused of Raping and pregnating his sister-in-law that was staying with them in Government house.

Must you resort to lies each time you wanna smear Enugu with dirt?

Enugu is in SE Nigeria, which has the lowest incidence of r.ape in Nigeria.

You're FOUR times more likely to be r.aped in Ibadan than in Enugu!!!

You're more likely to be kidnapped in Yorubaland than anywhere else in Nigeria!!!

Interesting facts, huh.

Opi - Enugu Community Where Old Women Are Raped By Youngmen

The traditional ruler of Ogbozalla community of OpI Nsukka, (apparently the most affected community), in Nsukka local council, Igwe Fabian Ogbuabo, while briefing the public hearing, said the continuous molest of old women in his domain was caused by the women's non-compliance with the payment of N100 security levy.

"The women were told to pay N100 each as security levy to prevent them from being Molested, since they are the targets, but they refused paying and this has made the Neighbourhood Watch to relax in the performance of ensuring the safety of their lives" the Igwe, is one-time Secretary to the Enugu State Government (SSG)

So, this is your reference material.
I was hoping we would argue statistics rather than posting individual incidents of r.ape.
FYI, if I were to post every incident of rape in the SW, then I'll have four times as many posts as you. grin

Be careful in the SW: you're 4 times more likely to be gang-r.aped in Yorubaland than in Alaigbo!!!

Just a friendly advice.

Does it matter the frequency of rappes in other states? So typical of Ibos...always living in self denial.

The op brough this thread so as to find solutions to make your grand mothers safe from rapists. So, say something sensible or STFU!

Does that negate the fact that 80 ibo women were raped in 3 months.

Do you see why many believe Ibos are foolish?

You must be a rapists for posting this nonsense.

Your so called rants about pedophilia isn't unconstitutional. If you are proud of the rappes going on, you should tell your delegates to make it part of the Biafran constitution.
