I'm a guy and I have to admit, seeing a girl who can take care of herself is really a turn on(as well as makes my palm freer). I remember when I was toasting my ex girl, we had been rolling for about a week with me footing the bills (she kept offering but i was forming chairman), at one point she actually told me to pull into a gas station and filled my tank. At that point I was so impressed.

Same thing with when girls offer to share the dinner bill (Not in naija oh!!!!), it makes the guy more generous when buying gifts and stuff for her. You don see someone ordering N4,000 breakfast and the girl no get shishi for pocket.

I believe one poster's comment about something as small as change can cause so much embarassment. In short that will be my new tactic to see if the girl hold anything,

Yes some can sink low,all depending on the realtionship that exist between me and the man in question. On whose intrest is the visit for? A case where one is insisting on meeting with me, yes u pay the bill, cus u are d one who is desperate here. But where my interest is, then its a sacrifice on my own part.


However we carry and present ourselves no doubt have so much volume to speak of who we are, if i have a mutual friendship with someone who could be an intimate friend or casual friend, it can't be wrong asking for a recharge card,i mean if i dnt ask from such people when i dnt hv and cant afford,who then can i ask from, so whatever we do shld be based on the relationship that exist btwn we and d person, any thing short of this can then be percived diffferently.

I really dont think its wrong for a girl to go on a date without money. Its just unsafe. Anything can happen. If I'm going out with someone I dont know very well. I'm usually loaded. But when its with a friend, I really dont see the need.

T.girl I agree with princessa. If the guy suggested the date, why would you volunteer to pay the bills? He should have enough money _{and some} to take care of everything. If he dosent have, he should say it early so that the girl will be careful while ordering.

no one is saying the guy shouldnt pay, but hmmm, i think the ratio of bad eggs has increased. where before the eggs were bad cos they'd sat for too long, the number has increased due to bird flu, melamine, et al ok the point i'm trying to make is that you can't always predict the outcome of your dates, even if the guy has shown you wads of N1000 naira notes in the boot of his car. there are many dishonourable guys these days. you're only looking after your own interest by carrying a little something with you
