Is it possible for Ribadu to swallow his pride and return to APC at once?
It's clear he can never be welcomed in PDP, he can never blend with other PDP governors- they are strange bed-fellows.
Some prensent PDP governors still can't forgive him for all his antecedents as EFCC boss.

Ribadu should have stayed in APC, or gone to another party like Labour or APGA. I frankly don't understand why he's gallivanting around. I have no sympathy for him.

size38: Nigerian politicians are the worst politicians on earth. If Ribadu was d EFCC chairman then, was it not on d consideration of him being a PDP member he was appointed by OBJ? What edwin clark meant is that Ribadu would have turned his eyes away to corrupt PDP governors then as against doing the job he was appointed to do. If a man like Edwin Clark who was a delegate at d just concluded national Confab could reason like this at his age, nigeria is forever doomed.

This is mis-information.

Ribadu was never appointed as EFCC chairman as a PDP member. This was not a political appointment.Chairman of INEC,Inspector General of Police,EFCC chairman,ICPC chairman etc, are not there because of PDP membership.

And where were these people when he was lured by PDP into joining the party with the promise of a ticket for Adamawa governorship? Serves Ribadu right. Goodluck as you renege into political extinction.

I thought I was the only one who noticed the senseless argument put forward by the senile man. So as EFCC boss, he shouldn't have brought corrupt PDP governors to book. Old age is catching up.

You are so so correct.

He would have wanted Ribadu to overlook all the billions of dollars stolen by Ibori in the name of politics?

No wonder this old Clark keeps singing the praise of GEJ when it is apparent he has achieved nothing- security, zero; employment, zero; corruption, 150%, debt, increasing; development retrogressing; and the list continues.

Clark is a disgrace.

Granting Ribadu a waiver in PDP Adamawa would probably be the biggest mistake from Africa's largest party.
I have a feeling that APC wants to use Ribadu to fully guarantee a capture of the state cos he would still cross- carpet back to APC.

Ribadu should be left alone, he has zero value to PDP both in Adamawa and the NE. He is not going to win any primary in PDP.

demand1982:
Elder statesman and a former Minister of Information, Chief Edwin Clark, has warned the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party against granting waiver to a former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.

Clark, at an ongoing press conference
at his residence in Abuja on Thursday, said Ribadu would be used to betray President Goodluck Jonathan at the end.

He said the former anti- corruption crusader was known for raising false alarm against governors elected on the platform of the party in the past while serving as the chairman of the EFCC.He said Ribadu was also involved in the impeachment of unnamed governor of the party in the past.

He said, even when the President saved him from public disgrace by converting his dismissal to retirement as assistant inspector general of police, Ribadu has refused to show gratitude to the President.

He therefore warned the leadership of the party against granting Ribadu any waiver to enable him contest the party’s governorship primary of the party in Adamawa State.

Details later.

Edwin Clarke - Some regions do have them. Perfect example of how not to be an elder statesman. This man is a disgrace to common sense and one of the reasons we are still where we are. The youth who want a guaranteed future should rise up and kill these evil men already since BH is not doing it but rather the same impoverished masses and hapless soldiers.

he is not a member of PDP but he is more important to Jonathan than PDP chairman. Infact,he is the chief political adviser of Jonathan. Now you can see why Jonathan will continue being clueless till 2015 when he will be kicked out of Aso Rock.

Aromas: I'm not dazed by Ribadu's defection to PDP and I'm surprised that he's on his way to meet with the same people he sent to jail or once indicted like Bode George,Fani Kayode, Fayose, Igbinedon, Borisade, and Alao Akala. That's politics for you. He too was betrayed by Tinubu and other Defunct ACN bigwigs during 2011 Presidential election. Even lost in Lagos State where ordinarily he was expected to win. In politics, there's no permanent friend nor foe but permanent interest. Nigerian Youth should wise up and stop insulting one another on social media. Our disunity is what is giving politicians upper hand over us. When Jonathan wants to give out government contract, he gives it out to the
ex militants at the detriment of the people of Niger-
Delta. When Northern Governors want to give out
government contract, they give it out to few political
elite at the expense of the vastly populated Almajiris. PDP and APC are conglomeration of oppressors, exploiters and subjugators. Let's stop discussing about politicians and focus on developmental issues that willbenefit the East, West, North and South. God bless Nigeria! Mind you, I stand to be corrected!

You, sir, have got the aroma factor.

I have said it here on several occasions, EK Clerk is one of the president's greatest baggage besides his wife and Alison. The earlier he does away with that man, the better for him!!
