Xpressionz: It is sad that many Nigerians are always waiting to see the downfall of men of God.

Many Nigerians are so gullible that they pounce on any info that paints the men of God in bad light and believe without even checking the veracity of such info. Imagine the Sun publishing a story by a faceless individual in the church and you all chose to believe it without asking whether it is true or not. The truth is that Pastor Chris' story has become a trending news and every media outlet are seeking to take advantage of this by publishing many false information simply because they have a gullible Nigerian population waiting to read and believe such lies.

There are many great things that men of God like Pastor Chris have done to alleviate the condition of ordinary Nigerians but the media will not talk about this. There are many projects that has been sponsored in rural communities that the media will never report about. However, when it comes to the false rumors of adultery, you see such info on every newspaper and Nigerians are so happy to believe it.

Well, this further shows that African are always waiting for the downfall of the successful. The things that God has used men like Pastor Chris, Bishop Oyedepo, Pastor Adeboye and the likes to do can only be imagined by many people here. Most Nigerians cannot even help their next door neighbour but they know how to malign men of God that help people and have many humanitarian projects they undergo.

The problem of most people are the offerings that this men of God receive in their churches. They believe they robbing people of their money. How Foolish!! That you do not believe in giving in church does not mean you should think those that give are fools. Those that are giving are definitely seeing the reward and they are not complaining so why give yourself unnecessary headache about someone else giving. You can keep your own money and keep living from hand to mouth simply because you are too stingy to give to God. You do not realize that most of this money goes into the work of God or how else do you think the church generates fund to embark on all its mega projects that see to the propagation of the gospel around the world. So keep hoarding your money because you think those that give are stupid.

The truth is that those that give will keep seeing the fruits while you that hoard will keep living in poverty no matter how much you make.

It is sad that most people that are quick to give judgement are Christians. To them they believe every man of God is meant to be poor. They believe prosperity should not be preached in the church. Their idea of Christianity is so whacked that they believe poverty is righteousness. But all this people think about is money yet they dont want it to be preached in church. They do not understand that one of the important benefits that salvation brings is wealth and prosperity. Jesus said himself that he became poor so that we might become rich. So why should a Christian not enjoy prosperity? Why should the SON OF GOD lack? Why should Christians keep begging from unbelievers? Do you really think this is God's plan?

It is high time most of us repented and stopped celebrating incomplete and false truths about men of God. If you do nOt understand theIr ministry why not just SHUT UP.

Just by the way Christ embassy don't use the word "Parish". That said, I noticed what the OP said too most especially with senior pastors in the church. They don't normally live with their spouses. One maybe in Benin and the other in South Africa. Then the question comes to mind: why get married and be united when you are virtually apart

Abegee, no man no matter how anointed, is above trials. They will come to all both rich and poor. Even Jesus went through the painful trial of the cross; let's not judge pastor chris unfairly-even if he is guilty-he's just human. Shebi?

none of these prove intent though, she hasnt proven she isnt attaching meanings which werent intended.

women tend to want to go a mile on what they think is an inch.

just looking at someone (or even talking to them), could cause all sorts of imaginations in their head depending on their various fantasies.

not saying the lady wasnt interpreting the man's intention correctly, but what she described, is very ambiguous.
I strongly believe 'belewi' is your church..her thoughts, imaginations and interpretation is exactly what it is..that scratching technique was invoke..

You shall know the truth and the truth shall set u free! Unless we want to be deceiving ourselves, we know genuine men of GOD like Deeper Life's Pastor Kumuyi etc... Demonic pastors impregnating and ensuring abortion of the resulting pregnancies with impunity. Some even entering into covenant with satan to enslave people through deceit and juju (if u don't know, ask somebody). I know "He that thinks he stands, let him be careful lest he falls..." But truth be told, as a mere child of GOD, I can't imagine myself doing these kind of nefariously callous evil let alone while a Pastor. Matth24:15 and Mark 13:14 "When you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel standing in the Holy place, know that...JESUS is just about to appear, whosoever readeth let him understand" Are u prepare? or Will you be left behind? Without any iota or scintilla of doubt, the END TIME is Here!

Yep !! Here we go again... By the way folks, this looks like how churches are formed. Different people go out with their different opinions (in the name of God)... the most convincing ones get to be GO/ Pastor etc... na so ooo!!! and the sheeple follow

Why do I get the feeling some of their parish pastors will actually love the idea of getting "breathing space"? tongue

50calibre: I have had encounters/experiences with Christ embassy both in Nigeria & the Uk so this is something I can attest to.

Christ embassy has a general policy which seeks to maximise male & female contact, be it their outreach or church service itself, contact between both sexes forms a key part of their overall structure. Adultery & fornication is seen as a necessary tool for attracting members.

Females are tasked with the responsibility of preaching, hospitality & follow up to the males & vice versa.

Say what you will of it, but it is a very efficient business strategy (after all church business is big business) it keeps the members within the church, especially the dudes who will definitely keep coming back for some female love & attention.

Any guy looking to sha*g as many females as possible, look no further, just head to Christ embassy you're going to be like a kid in a candy store

Having been a frightened, broken-hearted, and demoralised group of men, they emerged from hiding and became a band of joyful and heroic missionaries, boldly and fearlessly proclaiming the Christian gospel, in the teeth of persecution and suffering. What is more, all of them except John eventually suffered painful martyrdom for doing so. Three of them, including Peter, were crucified; two were stoned to death; another two were beheaded; Thomas was killed with arrows in India; Philip was hanged on a pillar in Phrygia; another disciple was beaten to death, and Bartholomew (Nathaniel) was skinned alive in Armenia. Is it likely, if the disciples had stolen Jesus’ body (as their enemies alleged), that they would have endured all this for something they knew to be a lie? Is it, in any case, psychologically credible to believe that these men, emotionally shattered by Jesus’ arrest and crucifixion, would have had the will, motivation, strength, or courage to attempt to snatch away His dead body from under the noses of the soldiers guarding His tomb?
To quote one of these, the first century Jewish historian, Josephus, writing in about AD 93:“At this time[the time of Pilate]there was a wise man who was called Jesus. His conduct was good and (he) was known to be virtuous. And many people from among the Jews and the other nations became his disciples. Pilate condemned him to be crucified and to die. But those who had become his disciples did not abandon his discipleship. They reported that he had appeared to them three days after his crucifixion, and that he was alive; accordingly he was perhaps the Messiah, concerning whom the prophets have recounted wonders.”(Antiquities of the Jews) http://www.bethinking.org/is-christianity-true/from-atheism-to-christianity-a-personal-journey
