60 Questions For The Christians
TRINITY
According to most Christians, Jesus was God-incarnate, full man and full God. Can the finite and the infinite be one? "To be full" God means freedom from finite forms and from helplessness, and to be "full man" means the absence of divinity.

1.To be son is to be less than divine and to be divine is to be no one’s son. How could Jesus have the attributes of sonship and divinity altogether?

2.Christians assert that Jesus claimed to be God when they quote him in John 14:9: "He that has seen me has seen the Father". Didn’t Jesus clearly say that people have never seen God, as it says in John 5:37: "And the father himself which Has sent me, has borne witness of me. You have NEITHER HEARD HIS VOICE AT ANY TIME NOR SEEN HIS SHAPE"?

3.Christians say that Jesus was God because he was called Son of God, Son of Man, Messiah, and "savior". Ezekiel was addressed in the Bible as Son of Man. Jesus spoke of "the peace makers" as Sons of God. Any person who followed the Will and Plan of God was called SON OF GOD in the Jewish tradition and in their language (Genesis 6:2,4; Exodus 4:22; Psalm 2:7; Romans 8:14). "Messiah" which in Hebrew means "God’s anointed" and not "Christ", and "Cyrus" the person is called "Messiah" or "the anointed". As for "savior", in II KINGS 13:5, other individuals were given that title too without being gods. So where is the proof in these terms that Jesus was God when the word son is not exclusively used for him alone?

4.Christians claim that Jesus acknowledged that he and God were one in the sense of nature when he says in John 10:30 "I and my father are one". Later on in John 17:21-23, Jesus refers to his followers and himself and God as one in five places. So why did they give the previous "one" a different meaning from the other five "ones?

5.Is God three-in-one and one in three simultaneously or one at a time?

6.If God is one and three simultaneously, then none of the three could be the complete God. Granting that such was the case, then when Jesus was on earth, he wasn’t a complete God, nor was the "father in Heaven" a whole God. Doesn’t that contradict what Jesus always said about His God and our God in heaven, his Lord and our Lord ? Does that also mean that there was no complete god then, between the claimed crucifixion and the claimed resurrection?

7.If God is one and three at a time, then who was the God in heaven when Jesus was on earth? Wouldn’t this contradict his many references to a God in Heaven that sent him?

8.If God is three and one at the same time, who was the God in Heaven within three days between the claimed crucifixion and the claimed resurrect ion?

9.Christians say that: "The Father(F) is God, the Son(S) is God, and the Holy Ghost(H) is God, but the Father is not the Son, the Son is not the Holy Ghost, and the Holy Ghost is not the Father". In simple arithmetic and terms therefore, if F = G, S = G, and H = G, then it follows that F = S = H, while the second part of the statement suggests that F ¹ S ¹ H (meaning, "not equal"wink. Isn’t that a contradiction to the Christian dogma of Trinity in itself ?

10.If Jesus was God, why did he tell the man who called him "good master" not to call him "good" because accordingly, there is none good but his God in Heaven alone?

11.Why do Christians say that God is three-in-one and one in three when Jesus says in Mark 12:29: "The Lord our God is one Lord" in as many places as yet in the Bible?

12.If belief in the Trinity was such a necessary condition for being a Christian, why didn’t Jesus teach and emphasize it to the Christians during his time? How were those followers of Jesus considered Christians without ever hearing the term Trinity? Had the Trinity been the spinal cord of Christianity, Jesus would have emphasized it on many occasions and would have taught and explained it in detail to the people.

13.Christians claim that Jesus was God as they quote in John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God". This is John speaking and not Jesus. Also, the Greek word for the first occurrence of God is HOTHEOS which means "the God" or "God" with a capital "G", while the Greek word for its second occurrence is "TONTHEOS", which means "a god " or "god" with a small "g". Isn’t this dishonesty and inconsistency on the part of those translating the Greek Bible? ? Isn’t such quotation in John 1:1 recognized by every Christian scholar of the Bible to have been written by a Jew named Philo Alexandria way before Jesus and John?

14.Wasn’t the word "god" or "TONTHEOS" also used to refer to others as well as in II Corinthians 4:4 "(and the Devil is) the god of this world" and in Exodus 7:1 "See , I have made thee (Moses) a god to Pharaoh"?

SALVATION:
Christians say that "GOD LOST His only son to save us". To whom did God lose Jesus if he owns the whole universe?

15. If it was agreeable with God’s Majesty to have sons, He could have created a million sons the like of Jesus. So what is the big clear deal about this only son?

16.Why does the Bible say that Jesus wanted to die on the cross, when the one on the cross was shouting "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" according to Matthew 27:45 and Mark 15:33?

17. If God had wanted to save us, couldn’t He have done that without sacrificing Jesus?

18. God is Just, and justice requires that nobody should be punished for the sins of others, nor should some people be saved by punishing other people. Doesn’t the claim that God sacrificed Jesus to save us because He was Just, contradict the definition of justice?

19. People sacrifice things they have to get something they don’t have when they can’t have both. Christians say that "God SACRIFICED His only son to save us". We know that God is Almighty; to whom did He sacrifice Jesus?

20. A real sacrifice is when you can’t get back what you have offered , so what would be the big deal about such a sacrifice if God could recover the same offering? (according to the Christians’ terminology)?

21. If all the Christians are saved through Jesus and are going to Heaven no matter what they do, then the teachings of Jesus are irrelevant and the definition of good and bad are also rendered irrelevant. If this is not so, then do Christians who believe in Jesus yet do not follow his teachings nor repent go to Hell?

22. How can Christians take deeds as irrelevant after becoming one when Jesus says in Matthew 12:36; "But I say unto you that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the Day of Judgment. For by the words thou shalt be justified, and by the words thou shalt be condemned"?

23. Christians say that people go to Heaven ONLY THROUGH JESUS, yet Paul says in 1 CORINTHIANS 7:8-16 that the unbelieving husband is acceptable to God because he is united with his wife and vice versa, and their pagan children are also acceptable to God. So people can go to heaven without believing in Jesus according to this.

24. How come the Bible says that ALL Israel is saved although they don’t believe in Jesus? Doesn’t that contradict the claim in the Bible that the only way to heaven is through Jesus?

25. According to Christians, those who have not been baptized will go to Hell. So even the infants and babies go to Hell if not baptized, since they are born with an inherited original sin. Doesn’t this contradict the definition of justice? Why would God punish people for sins they never committed?

HOLY SPIRIT:
The only place in the Bible where the Paraclete was called the Holy Spirit is in John 14:26 "But the Paraclete, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you". What has the Holy Spirit brought or taught for the last 2000 years?

26.Christians say that the Paraclete means the Holy Spirit (John 14;26). Jesus said in John 16:7-8 "If I do not go away the Paraclete will not come to you". This could not mean the Holy spirit, since the Holy spirit was said to have been there before Jesus was even born as in Luke 1:41 "Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit". Here, the Holy spirit was also present during Jesus life time. So how could this fit with the condition that Jesus must go away so that the Holy spirit will come?

27.In John 16:7-8, it says: "But if go, I will send him to you. And when he comes, he will convict the world of sins and of righteousness and of Judgment". What do "he" and "him" refer here? Don’t they refer to a man?

28.Does the Holy Spirit talk to good Christians and bad Christians as well? Is the Holy spirit with them all the time or just at certain times? When does it start visiting a person who wants to become a Christian?

29.How can you as a Christian tell if the Holy Spirit is inside another Christian? How come many Christians fooled people by claiming that the Holy spirit was inside them only to be converted to another religion later on ?

30.Does the Holy Spirit dictate what Christians should do without choice or freedom at all or does it only guide them and they have the freedom to follow or not ?

31.If the Holy Spirit dictates what Christian should do, why do Christians commit sins and make mistakes ? How can you explain the conversion to other religions and atheism of many Christians? Are they told to do that by the Holy Spirit?

32.If the Holy Spirit guides Christians only, and they are free to do what they want, then how do we know that the writers of the Gospels didn’t make mistakes in writing them?

33.If Christians believe that the Holy Spirit comes and talks to them everyday, why don’t they ask the Holy Spirit about which version of the Bible to follow since there are too many versions floating around?

MISSION OF JESUS:
Without borrowing from other religions and systems, can Christianity provide people with a complete way of life? Since Christianity is limited to spiritual life and does not provide law, how can a society decide which laws are right or wrong?

34.Why do the Christians say that Jesus came with a universal mission when he said that he was sent to the Jews only? He said to the Canaanite woman who asked him to heal her daughter from demon-possession: "I was sent ONLY to the lost sheep of Israel" and also said: "It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to their dogs", Matthew 15:21-28.

RESSURECTION:
If you read Matthew (28:1-10), Mark (16:1-20), Luke (24:1-12), and John (20: 1-18), you will find contradicting stories. They all agreed that the tomb was guarded for three days. However, they reported the discovery of the empty tomb differently.

Matthew (28) and John (20) reported that Mary Magdalene and the other Mary were the first to discover the tomb.

Mark (16) reports that Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome were the first to discover the empty tomb.

Mark (28) reports that there was an earthquake that removed the rock from over the tomb. He says that an angel caused it. The other gospels do not mention of an earthquake.

Matthew and Mark say that only ONE man in white clothes was sitting on the tomb when the woman arrived, and that he was an angel.

Luke says that TWO men in white clothes, who were angels, were sitting. Johns says that the two women did not meet anybody the first time they came to the tomb, but when they returned, they saw TWO people, ONE was an ANGEL, and the other was JESUS.

Matthew reports that when the guards reported this to the chief priest, the chief priest paid them a large sum of money, telling them: "You have to say that his disciples came at night and stole his body." He claims that the soldiers took money and spread the story around and since then, the story had been circulating among the Jews until today (according to Matthew). The other gospels do not report of any such thing.

35. Which narration now is more authentic?

36.Why is the appearance of Jesus after the crucifixion taken as a proof of his resurrection when there is an explanation that he was not dead because someone else was crucified in his place when God saved Him?

37.How did Matthew know of the claimed agreement between the soldiers and the chief priest? Can’t someone say that someone paid the women a large sum of money and told them to spread the word around that Jesus rose from the dead, with the same authenticity as that of the story of Matthew?

38.Why did they believe that man in the white clothes? Why did they believe he was an angel? John’s narration is too strange, since he says that Mary did not recognize Jesus (one of the two) while talking to him, and she only recognized him when he called her by her name.

39.How does an empty tomb prove that Jesus was crucified ? Isn’t it that God is capable of removing another man from the tomb, and of resurrecting him too?

40.The Gospels are believed to be the verbatim words of God, they are supposed to be dictated by the Holy Spirit to the Disciples who wrote them. If the source were the same, why shouldn’t they correspond with each other in reporting such an important event?

41.How could Matthew, Mark, Luke and John be considered eyewitnesses of resurrection when the Bible implies that nobody at all saw Jesus coming out of the tomb?

BIBLE:
If the Christians consider the Old Testament as God’s Word, why did they cancel the parts of the Old Testament that dealt with punishment (example: the punishment for adultery)?

42.Why doesn’t Mark 16:9-20 exist in as many versions of the Bible while it exists as a footnote or between brackets in some other versions? Is a footnote in the Bible still considered as God’s word, especially when it addresses an important feature like the Ascension?

43.Why does the Catholic Bible contain 73 books while the Protestant Bible has only 66? With both claiming to have the complete Word of God, which one should be believed and why?

44.Where do those new translations of the Bible keep coming from when the original Bible is not even available ? The Greek manuscripts which are translations themselves are not even similar with each other.

45.How can you take two gospels from writers who never met Jesus, like Mark and Luke?

46.Why is half of the New Testament written by a man who never even met Jesus in his lifetime? PAUL claimed with no proof that he had met Jesus while on his way from Jerusalem to Damascus. PAUL was the main enemy of Christianity. Isn’t that reason enough to question the authenticity of what he wrote? Why do the Christians call those books of the Old Testament "God’s Word" when the revisors of the RSV Bible say that some of the authors are UNKNOWN? They say that the author of SAMUEL is "UNKNOWN" and that of CHRONICLES is "UNKOWN, PROBABLY COLLECTED AND EDITED BY EZRA"!

CONTRADICTIONS:
47.Concerning the controversial issues in the Bible, how can Christians decide by two-thirds majority what is God’s Word and what is not, as the prefaces of some Bibles say like that one of the RSV ?

48.Why does Luke in his gospel report the Ascension on Easter Day, and in the Acts, in which he is recognized as the author, FORTY days later?

49.The genealogy of Jesus is mentioned in Matthew and Luke only. Matthew listed 26 forefathers from Joseph to David while Luke enumerated 41 forefathers. Only Joseph matches with Joseph in those two lists. Not a single other name matches! If these were inspired by God word by word, how could they be different? Some claim that one is for Mary and one is for Joseph, but where does it says Mary in those two Gospels?

50.If Moses wrote the first books of the Old Testament, how could Moses write his own obituary? Moses died in the fifth book at age 120 as mentioned in Deut. 34:5-10.

51.In the King James Version, why does it report SEVEN years of famine in II SAMUEL 24:13 while it reports THREE years of famine in I CHRONICLES 21:12? Why did they change both to THREE years in the New International Version and other versions?

52.Still In the same King James Version, why does it say that Jehoiachin was eight years old when he began to reign in II CHRONICLES 21:12, while it says EIGHTEEN years in II KINGS 24:8? Why did thessey change in both to EIGHTEEN in the new Versions?

53.In all versions, why does it say that David slew the men of SEVEN HUNDRED chariots of the Syrians, and forty thousand HORSEMEN as evidenced in II Samuel 10:18 while its says SEVEN THOUSAND men which fought in chariots, and forty thousand FOOTMEN, in I CHRONICLES 19:18?

54.In all versions, why does it report TWO thousand baths in I KINGS 7:26 while II CHRONICLES 4:5 reports THREE THOUSAND?

55.In the King James version, why does it report that Solomon had FOUR THOUSAND stalls for horses in II CHRONICLES 9:25 while it accounts that Solomon had FORTY THOUSAND stalls of horses in 1 KINGS 4:26? Why did they change both to FOUR THOUSAND in the new versions?

56.In GENESIS 1, God’s creation progresses from grass to trees to fowls, whales, cattle and creeping things and finally to man and woman. GENESIS 2, however, puts the creation of man before cattle and fowl and woman subsequent to beast. How can this be explained?

QUR’AN AND CHRISTIANS
This section does not inquire or interrogate, but rather provides the reader with some of the Qur’anic verses that address the Christians in particular, and the people of the scripture in general. A great portion of the Qur’an pertains to or involves the Christians and the Jews and I decided to just choose verses that are related to the topic of this manuscript.

"Lo! The likeness of Jesus with Allah is as the likeness of Adam. He created him of dust, then said unto him: Be, and he was." Al-Qur’an 3:59.

"Say: O People of the Scripture! Come to an agreement between us and you: that we shall worship none but Allah, and that we shall ascribe no partner unto Him, and that none of us shall take others for Lords besides Allah. And if they turn away, then say: Bear witness that we are they who have surrendered (unto him).

"O People of the Scripture! Why will you argue about Abraham, when the Torah and the Gospel were revealed till after him? Have you then no sense?

Abraham was not a Jew, nor yet a Christian; but he was an upright man who had surrendered (to Allah), and he was not of the idolaters.

Lo! Those of mankind who have the best claim to Abraham are those who followed him, and his Prophet and those who believe (with him); and Allah is the Protector of the believers.

A party of the People of the Scripture longs to make you go astray; and they make none to go astray except themselves, but they perceive not.

O People of the Scripture! Why disbelieve you in the revelations of Allah, when you (yourselves) bear witness to their truth?

O People of the Scriptures! Why confound you truth with falsehood and knowingly conceal the Truth? (Al-Qur’an 3: 64-71)

And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him and in the hereafter, He will be one of the losers (Al-Qur’an 3:85).

And because of their saying: We slew the Messiah Jesus, son of Mary, and Allah’s messenger. They slew him not nor crucified him, but it appeared so unto them, and Lo! Those who disagree concerning it are in doubt thereof; they have no knowledge thereof save pursuit of a conjecture; they slew him not for certain:

But Allah took him up unto Himself. Allah was ever Mighty, Wise. (Al-Qur’an 4:157-158).

O People of the Scripture! Do not exaggerate in your religion nor utter ought concerning Allah save the truth. The Messiah Jesus son of Mary, was only a messenger of Allah, and His word which He conveyed unto Mary, and a spirit from Him, so believe in Allah and His messengers, and say not "Three"! Cease! (it is ) better for you! Allah is only One God. Far is it removed from His transcendent majesty that He should have a son. His is all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allah is sufficient as defender.

The Messiah will never scorn to be a slave unto Allah, nor will the favored angels. Whosoever scorns His service and is proud, all such will assemble unto Him.

Then, as for those who believed and did good works, unto them will He give them their wages in full, adding unto them of His bounty; and as for those who were scornful and proud, then He will punish with a painful doom." (Al-Qur’an 4:171-173).

"And with those who say Lo! We are Christians, We made a covenant, but they forgot a part of that whereof they were admonished. Therefore We have stirred up enmity and hatred among them till the Day of Resurrection, when Allah will inform them of their handiwork.

O People of the Scripture! Now has our messenger come unto you, expounding unto you much of that which you used to hide in the Scripture, and forgiving much. Now has come unto light from Allah and plain scripture:

Whereby Allah guides him who seeks His good pleasure unto paths of peace, He brings them out of darkness unto light by His decree, and guides them unto a Straight Path.

They indeed have disbelieved who say: Lo! Allah is the messiah, son of Mary. Say: Who then can do aught against Allah if he had willed to destroy the Messiah son of Mary, and his mother and everyone on earth? Allah’s is the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. He creates what he wills. And Allah is able to do all things. (Al-Qur’an 5:14:17).

"They surely disbelieve who say; Lo! Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary. The Messiah (himself) said: O children if Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and you Lord. Lo! Whosoever ascribes partners unto Allah, for him Allah has forbidden Paradise. His abode is the Fire. For evildoers ,there will be no helpers.

They surely disbelieve who say: Lo! Allah is the third of the three; when there is no God save the One God. If they desist not from so saying, a painful doom will fall on those of them who disbelieve.

Will they not rather turn unto Allah and seek forgiveness of Him? For Allah is oft-forgiving, most merciful.

Say: Serve you in place of Allah that which possesses for you neither hurt nor use? Allah is the Hearer, the Knower.

Say: O People of the Scripture! Stress not in your religion other than the Truth, and follow not the vain desire of folks who erred of old and led many astray, and erred from a plain road." (Al-Qur’an 5:72-77)

"And when Allah says: O Jesus, son of Mary: Did you say unto mankind: take me and my mother for two gods beside Allah?, he says: Be glorified! It was not mine to utter that to which I had no right. If I used to say it, then You Knew it, You know what is in my mind, and I know not what is in Your mind. Lo! You, only You, are the knower of things hidden.

I spoke unto them only that which You commanded me (saying); worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord. I witness of them while I dwelt among them, and when You took me, You were the Watcher over them. You are witness over all things.

If You punish them, Lo! They are Your slaves, and if you forgive them (Lo! They are Your slaves). Lo! You, only you are the Mighty, the Wise.

Allah says: This is a day in which their truthfulness profits the truthful, for theirs are Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they are secure forever, Allah taking pleasure in them and they in Him. That is the great triumph. (Al-Qur’an 5:116-119)

"And the Jews say: ‘Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah’, and the Christians say: ‘The Messiah is the son of Allah’. That is their saying with their mouths. They imitate the saying of those who disbelieved of old. Allah fights against them. How perverse they are!

They have taken as Lord besides Allah their rabbis and their monks and the Messiah son of Mary, when they were bidden to worship only One God. There is no God save Him. Be He glorified from all that they ascribe as partners (unto him)!

Faint would they put out the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah disdains (aught) save that He shall perfect His light, however much the disbelievers are averse.

He it is Who has sent His messenger with guidance and the Religion of Truth, to cause it to prevail over all religions, however much the idolaters may be averse.

O you who believe! Lo! many of the (Jewish) rabbis and the (Christian) monks devour the wealth of mankind wantonly and debar (people) from the way of Allah. They who hoard up gold and silver and spend it not in the way of Allah, unto them give tidings (O Muhammad) of a painful doom.

On the Day when it will (all) be heated in the fire of Hell, and their foreheads and their flanks and their backs will be branded therewith (and it will be said unto them): Here is that which you hoarded for yourselves. Now taste of what you used to hoard." (Al-Qur’an 9:30-35).

MUHAMMAD OR JESUS?
Christians claim that the prophecy in Deut. 18:18 refers to Jesus and not Muhammad. The verse says: "I will raise them up a prophet from among THEIR BRETHREN, LIKE UNTO THEE, and I will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him." The only reason they resort to such interpretation is that both Moses and Jesus were prophets. Even this one contradicts their claim that Jesus was God and not a Prophet. Many prophets of the Jews had the similarity with Moses. However, if we compare Muhammad to Moses, we will find that:

Muhammad was an Arab, and the Arabs are from Ishmael, son of Abraham, while Moses was a Jew, and the Jews are from Isaac, son of Abraham. Hence, the term THEIR BRETHREN refers to the children of the first son being brethren of the children of the other. This couldn’t apply to Jesus, since he was a Jew.

According to the Christians, Jesus went to Hell for three days while Moses did not. Therefore, Jesus is not like Moses. (In Islam, none of the three Prophets went to Hell)

Moses and Muhammad were born to fathers and mothers while Jesus was born to a mother alone.

Moses and Muhammad got married and had children, while Jesus did not marry at all.

Moses and Muhammad got problems and difficulties from their people initially, but were accepted by them at the end., whereas Jesus was rejected by his people at the start and is still rejected by the Jews until today. "He (Jesus) came unto his own, but his own received him not".( John 1:11)

Moses and Muhammad had power, besides being prophets. They both performed some capital punishments, for example, while Jesus had no power over his people. "My kingdom is not of this world", Jesus said in John 18:36 .

Moses and Muhammad brought new laws while Jesus did not.

Moses was forced to emigrate in adulthood to Median while Muhammad was forced to emigrate at that stage in his life too, towards Madina . Whereas Jesus did not have such forced emigration in his adulthood .

Moses and Muhammad both died of natural deaths after which they were buried ,while the same could not be said of Jesus. He was neither killed nor crucified at all, according to the Qur’an and did not die a ‘natural’ death as could be affirmed by Christians who believe in Crucifixion.

FINAL QUESTIONS:
57.Why won’t you, Christian reader, come to hear and learn of the true religion of Jesus?

58.Have you, as a Christian , learned of Islam and if so, was it from the true Muslims?

59.As a Christian, do you agree that out of fairness and honesty you must investigate what Islam says about God, Jesus, including this life and the hereafter?

60.Being a Christian, do you also believe that we must all stand accountable to our Creator and that the Creator is Perfect and Just? As a sincere believer in God, don’t you owe it upon yourself to find out the entire unadulterated truth regardless of the consequences?

If u can't give precise answer to all, then, why can't u become Muslim?

firdaus4us:

If u can't give precise answer to all, then, why can't u become Muslim?

There may be over 6,000 questions for the Christian that I can't find precise answers for. However, there are more questions about the WE in the "Allah" of the Qur'an that is clearly polytheistic, and until you address that question of Allah joining partners with himself in the Qur'an, then you will never see the true light of who's actually fooling the Muslim mindset.

I was once a Muslim, but in answer to your question: "why can't u become Muslim?" my answers are:

1: I would rather be saved by the Messiah (the Christ - Jesus Himself) than put my faith in a prophet of Islam.

2. I would rather be righteous by the righteousness of the Messiah than choose the sinful life of Muhammad.

3. I would rather choose to let others live even if they are atheists or choose other religions than to seek their death
    because Muhammad said so.

4. I would rather be saved and know it for sure than to be as confused as Muhammad who wasn't sure what Allah
would do to him in that day.

5. I would rather be made free from sin and pursue righteousness than follow a prophet who repented of sin more
than seventy times in a day, and still wasn't sure of it so that he had to repent another seventy times everyday!

6. I would rather be chaste by the standard of Jesus Christ about marriage than be confused about fornication and
sexual molestation of underaged children (it's called pedophilia).

7. I would rather be a man to one wife as Jesus prescribed than commit fornication and adultery by the "temporary"
marriage contracts that Muhammad encouraged among his companions.

8. I would rather follow the chastity in relationships that Jesus offered, than subscribe to a prophet who received
"revelations" as license to seek sexual pleasure by chasing all his own paternal and maternal cousins with clear
    unbridled lust.

9. I would rather maintain a stand for righteous living as Jesus Christ taught, than be appalled by the coitus interruptus
the companions of Muhammad practiced while the Qur'an was being revealed!

10. I would rather find out the truth about Jesus Christ for myself by reading the Bible, than take the false claims in
Muhammad's Qur'an as subsitute of what Jesus taught.

I could go on and on about this if you so require me to tell you more about why I cannot be a muslim. Not to mention again the polytheism so glaring in the Qur'an and excused away by Muslim apologists. But the facts stand out - I would rather be saved by the righteous Saviour, Jesus Christ my Lord, than put my faith in a prophet of "Islam" who was so violent that he was confessedly uncertain about his eternal destiny at the end of his career.

There - those are partly why I cannot be a muslim, regardless the attacks you ferret against Christianity.

@firdar4us.
Are you being a good muslim?
Do what Muhammad says.

As a Good Muslim - Have you read the Gospel of Jesus?

The Gospel of Jesus and Old Testament (Torah):  "Guidance and Light"

- Sura 2:87 -  And most certainly We gave Musa the Book and We sent apostles after him one after another; and We gave Isa, the son of Marium, clear arguments and strengthened him with the holy spirit,

- Sura 3:48 - And He (Isa/Jesus) will teach him the Book and the wisdom and the Tavrat (Torah) and the Injeel (Christian Gospel).

- Sura 3:50 - And a verifier of that which is before me of the Taurat (Torah) and that I may allow you part of that which has been forbidden t you, and I have come to you with a sign from your Lord therefore be careful of (your duty to) Allah and obey me.

- Sura 5:44 - "Surely We revealed the Taurat (Torah/Bible Old Testament) in which was guidance and light", with it the prophets who submitted themselves,

- Sura 5:46 - And We sent after them in their footsteps Isa, son of Marium, verifying what was before him of the Taurat (Jewish Torah) and We gave him the Injeel (Christian Gospels) in which was guidance and light, and verifying what was before it of Taurat and a guidance and an admonition for those who guard (against evil).

- Sura 5.68 - Say: O followers of the Book! you follow no good till you keep up the Taurat and the Injeel and that which is revealed to you from your Lord;

- Sura 6.154:    Again, We gave the Book (Torah) to Musa to complete (Our blessings) on him who would do good (to others), and making plain all things and a guidance and a mercy, so that they should believe in the meeting of their Lord.

- Sura 6.155:    And this (Torah) is a Book We have revealed, blessed; therefore follow it and guard (against evil) that mercy may be shown to you.

- Sura 29:46  "And dispute ye not with the People of the Book, but say, "We believe in the revelation which has come down to us and in that which came down to you; Our Allah and your Allah is one;

- Sura 32:23 - And certainly We gave the Book to Musa, so be not in doubt concerning the receiving of it, and We made it a guide for the children of Israel.

- Sura 43:63 - When Jesus came with Clear Signs, he said: "Now have I come to you with Wisdom, and in order to make clear to you some of the (points) on which ye dispute: therefore fear Allah and obey me.

- Sura 46:12 we are told,  "And before it the Book of Musa (Moses) (Torah) was a guide and a mercy: and this is a Book verifying (it) in the Arabic language that it may warn those who are unjust and as good news for the doers of good, "

The Great Muslim dilemma

The Christian Bible Says Jesus is God, and one with the Father

Muslims have no choice but to believe in the Christian Bible and the Apostles who wrote it.  The Qur'an forbids anyone, on pain of shameful punishment, from making distinctions between the authority of the apostles and prophets of God, or from choosing between God's words. No one is permitted to believe in part and reject a part. Those who presume to do so, it says, are infidels in reality (Suras 4:150-152; 2:89; 42:13-15; 29:46-47).  See Christian Bible references to who Jesus really is: here

Who is he talking about?

This Sura below shows how Muhammad had a complete misunderstanding of the Christian Gospel, and what the Trinity is.  Apparently, Muhammad is referring to Christians.  But his error here is that both Christians and Jews believe there is only One God.  Muhammad also mistakenly thought the Trinity was the Father, Son and Mother (Mary).
- Sura 5:73-75, "They do blaspheme who say: Allah is one of three, "

Again, below Muhammad attests to the Torah's (Taurat) authority.
So, for Muslims to claim the Bible was corrupted is an argument already lost,

- In Sura 5:48 we are told that Muhammad is given the Qur'an as a confirmation of the bible; that is - it is meant to prove the bible's authenticity,  "And We have revealed to you the Book with the truth, verifying what is before it of the Book and a guardian over it,"

- In Sura 46:12 we are told,  "Yet before it there was the Book of Moses (Torah/Old Testement) which was an authority, and a mercy. This (the Qur'an) is the Book confirming it in the Arabic tongue, "

Muhammad deferred to the Torah for Guidance Himself

Asked to produce the Torah and read from it, Âl 'Imran 3:93.

A group of Jews went to Muhammad and ask him to pronounce judgment on an adulterous couple. Muhammad asked for the Torah to be brought before him, and the couple was subsequently stoned, in accordance with the penalty laid down in the Torah. (see Sahih Bukhari Book 38, no. 4434)

This incident indicates that Muhammad deferred to the Torah for judgment. In the whole incident, there is no indication whatsoever that the Torah is not trustworthy,  Also see: fate of those who do not live by Torah, al-Jum`ah 62:5 ; referred to settle dispute on food, Âl 'Imran 3:93-94 ; retribution in, al-Ma'idah 5:45

Torah/Taurat: This word occurs 18 times in the Qur'an

@firdaus,

u picked the wrong thread to ask questions,

there are very very learned people here, u've not seen anything yet,

wat u are tryin to do is like telling the captaiin of a ship that u think there is a hole in his ship meanwhile your ship is sinking already, if u get wat i mean.

i don't understand moslems put their faith in a very sinful man as SAW, as he said he did not know what allah would do to him.

moslems are encouraged to do inhumane things, e.g. death to the infidels, kill unbelievers, etc.

and recently on the religion section a guy said SAW encourages us to discard the ways of satan (e.g. eating with the left hand) by one olabowale
Re: 60 Questions For The Christians by Nobody: 4:51pm On Jul 29, 2006
Yes lordimpaq, they say those who who live in glass houses should not throw stones,firdar4us may not have known that.

How dare anyone compare things of the spirit with things of the flesh.
The basis for comparison of any faith is to compare the lives of it's founders ,if we can't get past their examplary lives,we have no need to continue.

Many of these muslims either never read the Koran or closed their eyes to the dark side of Mo.
When you hear them even deny that aisha was a molested child bride and some in this forum would hike up her age as 15 and 18 to make them feel better even though by her very own words she declares she was 6 at marriage and 9 at consummation.A practice still prevalent in the Islamic world today.
What 18 year old plays with dolls as we read her say.

This forum has really opened my eyes to Islam and the teachings.
Any muslim who now realises they've been sold a bunch of tales still has a great opportunity to come to the truth, and we will not kill you if you choose to remain muslim.

Watching a video of some muslims protesting, threatning other countries and chanting allah rhymes and death rhymes made me realise how much hatred some of these people have, and its all because of mohammeds teaching and we all know hatred always seems to lead to disaster.

An excerpt from an article that gladdened my heart

However the exodus from Islam is not reserved to the intellectuals but also the average Muslims are finding that Islam is not the way to God but to ignorance, poverty and wars. They are leaving Islam to embrace other religions especially the Christianity.

Perhaps it is best to listen to the truth coming from the mouth of the horse. The Internet site aljazeera.net published an interview with Ahmad Al Qataani أحمد القطعاني An important Islamic cleric who said: “In every hour, 667 Muslims convert to Christianity. Everyday, 16,000 Muslims convert to Christianity. Ever year, 6 million Muslims convert to Christianity."

What Muslims say among each other, is not the same thing that they say for the consumption of the Westerners.

These are huge numbers. If this trend continues we can expect to see Islam become insignificant in Africa in just a few decades. This is good news for those who are concerned about the on going slavery in Africa and the prospects of war and genocide.

In fact with the weakening of Islam, we can hope to see peace in many war-ridden parts of the world including Palestine. By now it should be clear that any road map to peace between Israel and Palestine will be blocked by the Islamists and the terrorists. Peace in Middle East is not possible as long as Islam is the ideology of the masses.

It is important that we realize that this terrorism that is threatening the peace of the world and these wars that bleed the Muslim nations are not economically motivated but are they are hate motivated. They are religious wars. The weakening of Islam means peace for mankind.

Al Qataani and al Jazeera Network were alarmed by these huge numbers of Muslims leaving Islam, but humanity must rejoice over these numbers. The weakening of Islam means the triumph of mankind.
Re: 60 Questions For The Christians by olabowale(m): 9:16pm On Jul 29, 2006
There is no compulsion in religion. All persons know there is a place called Hell. The fire of Hell is a place to punish the our evil doers. There will be people from the 'Children of Israel, Christians who follow Paul "invented religion", others religions and yet from the Muslims'. From among the muslims you have hypocrites who will remain in hell without being removed from it as if as they have been purified. However there will some temporary inhabitants of hell, they are removed after sometimes because they have been purified. The noblest of all God's creations, Al Mustafa Muhammad ibn Abdallah (SAW), stated that there will be only one sect from the 73 sects of the Muslims that will not taste any period of punishment in hell. This sect will go directly to Paradise on the day of Judgement and begin to receive their rewards. You will agree that the conditions of Hell and paradise must be totally different. In Hell, it is unagreeable punishment and torment. In Paradise it will be felicity, the enjoyment that will be far superior to what can be found on earth. I guess that as long as we are alive, regardless of our conditions, it can not be equated to anything to be experienced from when the angel of death appears to take the soul out of the body. For sure, no one can touch the body that is lifeless and even if that body/soul belongs to Hell you will not because it will not be hot, but we all believe that hellfire will burn and any thing burning is hot to the touch. What I want everyone to do is to ask God the Almighty in sincerity that He shows and leads one the right way to worship and seek His mercy. In the University in West Virginia, USA, my roommate was a notable "Reverend", who leads a church of over 1000 people in NYC, presently. I as of recently as last year asked him several questions, mostly of morality and specifically Christiandom. In most cases, he would agree with my premise, but in others, he had no choice but to reluctantly agree with me or do not give any real argument at all.
If you know any Hindu, the Hindu will tell you that Hindu religion is right and had been in existence before Jewish people and Judaizm. Yet we know that they worship idols, but to them it is correct the way they worship. Christianity is not a religion that is familiar to or the religion brought by Isa ibn Mariam (Jesus, son of Mary, (AS)). Jesus and Paul did not cross each others path. Jesus was a chosen, an elect, a prophet of God to the Children of Israel. Jesus minister directly based on the revealed instructions to me to the Children of Israel to obey God's commandments and follow him to doing so. Jesus was the one that was the elect of God and the last of them from the lineage of Yaquub (Jacob, (AS)). On the other hand Paul, who used to be Saul, a Jew who used to persecute the followers of Jesus and the people who were following them all of a sudden, became the leadership of that same movement that he so much hated! Please tell me, if Jesus was the end all in that revealed process, how is it possible that Paul in particular begins to receive revelations that are in its core message became opposite to what the elect of God, Jesus son of Mary delivered. If you reflect, truly a thorough reflection, you will not be able to accept Paul's message, hence the foundation of his movement, the whole premise will have to be discarded. I did study the Bible in High School under late Governor of ONDO State, Chief Michael Adekunle Ajasin. I took it as one of the WASC Examination subjects and made good grade on it. Since then, I have spent sometimes studying it and found it to be a good reading, very romantic. The one who knows the Injil (New Testament, Good News) the most should be Jesus himself. All explanation of it must to come from it. I will not accept what any one of the Christians who can not connect his/her explanation to Jesus, directly. Get me an original New Testament, no, get me the one written in the language that it was revealed to Jesus. You will not be able to provide an answer to my challenge. You have not seen one yourself. What you have seen is what you know and there are presently over a several thousand versions of the Bible which consist of Taurah and Injil and of course other books. The writing of Paul and people like him is like that of the second generation in islam, the writing of the Apostles (companions of Jesus) is like the writing of the Sahabah (companions of Muhammad) the act of the apostles is like the acts of the Sahabah. Unfortunately, in the Bible you have what one can say come from the Almighty, but one is not sure of the exactness of the sentence structure, what is stated by Angels, prophets, companions of prophets (the exactness of the sentence structure is not certain), further you have what is written by the likes of Saul (Lana tullahi allakafirii) oh, he is now known as Paul. He, Paul is the one who has led people astray, far from the way that Jesus followed and commanded. However, if you examine the Al Qur'an you will find that it is a single speaker which is the Lord of the worlds. The sunnah/Hadith are different and separate from Qur'an. The Sirah, story of the life of Muhammad is the most popular. Other sirah about the lives of the followers are also available. You will have to accept that the Qur'an is pure in its preservation and all muslim must know some part of it, striving to know all in its original language, Fussah Arabiyah. Qur'an is full of wisdom and you can never be able to comprehend the oxean of knowledge in it. From it you have what guides you as the blueprint of life, before conception to after life and the day of jusgement and beyond. Can you say the same of any book. Sincerely.
I am in my fifties and I am sure that I will not reject with total rejection any opportunity to marry a younger woman, as young as the allowable age in any culture as long as she reached tha age of maturity. I find it very strange that you people of Nigeria, knowing fully well how sexually immoral the majority of the people of that nation are begins to use your cursed tongue to criticised the beloved of the Almighty. may you seek repentance before you die, otherwise may you receive the rewards of your action from the One who truly Judge.
About using the left hand, is it not true that you use your left hand to do actions that you will not use your right hand for, in normal situations. For example, you use your left hand to wipe your bottom when you deficate, yet the muslims will use water to wash, in addition. You pick up dirty things up with your left hand, clean your nose, etc, as well. You do not rinse your mouth with your left hand, rather you use your right hand. Islam is the only religion that encourages, even command purification of the body in certain conditions. Of course the purification of soul is enjoined in every religion, but how do you do it. The answer is in Islam.
Have you ever noticed how people all over the world are coming into Islam without so much missionary or propagatory work. The west have just discovered Islam and they are rushing into it enmass. The truth have been revealed and falsehood will not have any strong foothold. By the way, let us wait for the decision of God. We will definately realise it from the time the angle of death comes to claim the soul from each one of us.
Re: 60 Questions For The Christians by m4malik(m): 11:04pm On Jul 29, 2006
>>"There is no compulsion in religion" - would you sincerely believe that rote Islamic cliché after studying the life and career of Muhammad from the Hadith? Muhammad did not believe in what he preached and did not respect anyone's rights to their religion, and in all honesty you as a Muslim should know that.

>>Christians who follow Paul "invented religion", - typical of a biased Muslim mindset that fails to realise that Muhammad was actually the one who invented his own religion. If you had cause to doubt Paul's visions, what better reasons would there be to believe Muhammad's visions at all?

>>In Paradise it will be felicity, the enjoyment that will be far superior to what can be found on earth - what kind of felicity are you talking about? The one where women are not respected but become the sex objects for jihadists in paradise longing for their reward of 72 virgins?

>>Christianity is not a religion that is familiar to or the religion brought by Isa ibn Mariam (Jesus, son of Mary, (AS)). - Ok, now I know you just have a natural gift to blab about what you know nothing of. Jesus didn't bring Christianity, and yet the Qur'an recognizes that He did and even asks Christians to believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ? Did you miss that part in the Qur'an?

>>Get me an original New Testament, no, get me the one written in the language that it was revealed to Jesus. You will not be able to provide an answer to my challenge. You have not seen one yourself - As long as you can't be rational about this, could I ask that you turn your gaze a little closer home to the Qur'an where it says that "Allah" sent down the Gospel to Jesus? So, what original Gospel did "Allah" send down and confirm that Muslims today know nothing about? It is not Christians you should disbelieve - rather, it is the "Allah" of the Qur'an who has failed to give the 'original Gospel' to Muhammad before he started telling his tales.

>>However, if you examine the Al Qur'an you will find that it is a single speaker which is the Lord of the worlds. - I don't mean to disrespect your age, sir; but that is a bogus lie and any sincere reader of the Qur'an knows that Muhammad was the speaker of a good section of it, and not "Allah".

olabowale:

You know what? God rewards those who expose child molesters and hypocrites. A man over 50 years old who claims to be a prophet and yet married and had sex with an underaged kid of 9 years old is nothing but a pedophile - culture or no culture. I have sought repentance from the excuse to call such a prophet "the beloved of the Almighty", for the true God does not endorse such immorality. Have you wondered why the beloved of "Allah" still did not know what would happen to him on the day of judgement?

>>Have you ever noticed how people all over the world are coming into Islam without so much missionary or propagatory work. Okay, did you mean that they were actually coming out from Islam after they suddenly discovered it for what it actually is?? Read Ahmad Al Qataani's frank and forthright confession again:

In every hour, 667 Muslims convert to Christianity. Everyday, 16,000 Muslims convert to Christianity. Ever year, 6 million Muslims convert to Christianity."

Did you get that?? Every year 6 million Muslims convert to Christianity - and that's a Muslim cleric confessing that. You may shake your head and disagree with him; but hey - my name is malik, and I'm one of those 6 million Muslim converts to Christianity. . . and if you count my entire family, you get a full picture of the statistics. babyosisi, you are a young woman, you can read a thesis. This is a forum of knowledge. a one liner will not do. since the christians are not familiar with Islam, hence a thorough and complete lecture is in order. Did you know how many scientific thesis in the Qur'an, every branch of knowledge is in it. By the way it is the lack of knowledge of Islam that will make a person leave it. Also, it is the lack of knowledge of the foundermentals of christianity that will make a person remain in it. thank God I learn these two aspects in USA. Presently, people are coming into Islam enmass in the west. Just the other day, it was alluded that Prince Charles is probably a closet Muslim. this is a statement from the non Muslims. Jacque Stow, the late notable French explorer became Muslim from his reading of the oceanic life in the Qur'an.
Did you know about an american astronaut who became a closet Muslim as he declared that while he was in space he heard Adhan called and while he was in Egypt he heard it the same and this was how he recognized it. You see, we in Islam realized that even the angels make salah, make pilgrimage, no one of the christian retuals is performed by angels. You need truth. May God in His infinite mercy guide you to it in Al-Islam.
Re: 60 Questions For The Christians by m4malik(m): 6:24am On Jul 30, 2006
@Olabowale,

Babyosisi is right: learn the rules of good writing - I've hinted at this before. Don't harrass our intelligence with poor inputs and pander them off as 'knowledge' and 'complete lecture'.

Meanwhile, your assertion that those leaving Islam do so because they don't know what it is simply falls flat on its face. I know why I left Islam - I saw it for what it is. The angels do not need to perform any Christian "rituals" as you call it, because that would make them far less celestial or angelic than we should understand them. Which one of the "rituals" do you consider an angel would perform in Christian rites - water baptism, eating the Lord's Supper, or paying tithes? You're exposing the same thing you accuse others of - ignorance.

In Christianity, angels are given their exalted and respected identities, and for all that we're told that God has reserved them to be ministering spirits for the heirs of salvation. They do not need to make salah or pilgrimage - for what and why??
Re: 60 Questions For The Christians by olabowale(m): 11:29am On Jul 30, 2006
Glory belong to Allah, the Almighty alone. May His blessings continue to descend on the noblest of all prophets and all creations, Seayidina Muhammad (SAW). To you my brother m4malik, if you hate Islam so much and I wonder why you still keep the name Malik. Change and be done with it. Further, the blind arguments of the christians make me wonder if they never reflectedand see in themselves and in their surroundings signs of One who is Mighty, Wise. Allah Tahallah asked in the Qur'an, 'if there have been more than One Lord (God), wouldn't they be opposition fron One of them as it concerns the directive of another'. Did you ever reflect on the meaning of Ayatul Qursi. The tasfir is about the children of Israel asking Musa that is his Lord asleep because they were going through tremendous difficulties and there was no relief coming. Musa was told by Allah to put a breakable object on his lap while in a seating position. He was commanded to fall asleep. Of course the body relaxed and the object fell and break. Allah asked Musa that if your Lord was to be asleep who will be watchful over all things including the heavens and the earth. They will go out of control and the heavens may collapse and fall on the earth. Allah the Almighty is neither weary of His watchfulness over His creation. Unfortunately, all created things, Jesus, Muhammad (AS) are from this categories, hence they fall asleep, they do things of human, etc. Since they are elect of God, His messengers (AS) to mankind, they are at higher levels than than any one of us. Jesus performed miracles by the power given to him by God Almighty. Muhammad performed miracles by the power given to him by God Almighty. The muslims acknowledged these miracles and understand them to have come from Allah to strenghten the position and aid each of these noble personalities. No christian criticizm that can make any true muslim talk ill of Jesus. I have more right over Jesus than any Christian, I accord him his rights and did not usurp the glory of God hy saying that Jesus is more or less than what he was. It is reasonable and make sense that Jesus is not God and not a son of God.
In the Bible Melchezdeket, king of Salem had no beginning, no end and no one know any of his family. Where is he today and this description of him make him more important in attribute than Jesus. This is from your Bible. Moses spoke to God directly without the aid of any angel, at the burning bush and other places, eg, when the Ten commandment was revealed to him as instruction to the Children of israel, and later generations to follow the path of Moses which the Israelites were to remain on. There was no place in the Bible that Jesus was one on one with God, without the aid of angel. In this instance do'nt you think that Moses would be higher than Jesus (AS). You christians ascribed human qualities to the Almighty who is above His throne. All angels and all creations are His slaves and creations. You may not accept it, but you will find the reality of it from the point of death. If you are so lazy that you need a feel good religion to make your life. Keep on with it. You will find out that the prerequisite of Paradise is not cheap and the doctrine inventor, Saul/Paul way will not safe you and it will come to Zero. Go back to Islam, you and your family and fear the fire of Hell, a horrible destination it is.
By the way, if you read Qur'an very carefully, you should have found that Allah praised Muhammad (AS) and clearly spoke about his going to paradise, for example in Suratul Fajr's last Ayah. Also in many places God spoke about the Companion of Muhammad, the Muhajirrin and the ansar (RA) are people He is pleased with. Tell me m4malik, when you are pleased with someone, do you altimately punish them or make way of ease for them. Muhammad (AS) gave good news of paradise to some of his followers. they are known as Ashara Bashara. Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman Ali and others are part of them. The participant of Gazwatu Badr were all given the good news of Paradise. Saeyiddina Bilal ibn Rabah (RA) was spoken about his footstep in paradise. The Noblest of all the Apostles of Allah, Muhammad (AS) was was reminded by Aisha (RA) that he should not pray so much at night, knowing that Allah had forgiven all his sins, the past as well as the future sins. Muhammad in his humbleness to his Lord said to Aisha 'should not I be a greatful servant of my Lord'. You see m4malik, paradise belong to Allah and He admits by His favor whoever He wills.
The muslims rely and hope in Allah alone in the authentic way of the prophets, Qur'an and Hadith being the two essential sources of this Hope and longing. wer do not have the concept of 12 apostles of Jesus sitting and Judging the 12 tribes of Israel. Where will the non Israel tribe fits in this equation. Who will judge the 12 apostles judging the 12 tribes of Israel. What happens to Judas in this case, is he one of the Judges or Paul has now taken his place. Who judge Paul/Saul the destroyer of Jesus's true message with his own inventions. Where is the Almighty in all of these. Please read the Bible again and go back to Islam and study your Qur'an. It is not too late.

olabowale:

To you my brother m4malik, if you hate Islam so much and I wonder why you still keep the name Malik. Change and be done with it.

First, I'm free from the hate Islam infused in me since coming to know the authentic Jesus Christ so I could understand the real meaning of love - for God and for people. I don't hate Muslims, but that doesn't mean we should refrain from exposing Islam for what it actually is, especially when apologists like you spend time and sweat posting your prejudices against the Christian faith of which you know next to nothing about.

Second, my name remains Malik - and it's my choice to retain it for reasons best known to me. Muhammad didn't give me that name and he can't take it away from me even if he turns 72 times in his grave. The problem with the Muslim mindset is that people can't live in peace unless and until they cower under Muhammad's sword. Jesus delivered me from all that, and nothing that Islam proposes can change my mind from the liberty my family now enjoy with the Prince of Peace.

olabowale:

Further, the blind arguments of the christians make me wonder if they never reflectedand see in themselves and in their surroundings signs of One who is Mighty, Wise. Allah Tahallah asked in the Qur'an, 'if there have been more than One Lord (God), wouldn't they be opposition fron One of them as it concerns the directive of another'

What you call 'blind arguments of the Christians' is what you've been taught by rote to say as an Islamic dogmatist who himself rarely takes the time to consider his own blind obstinacy. Unless you have not been reading the Qur'an, it's hard to miss the fact that the "Allah" of Islam's sacred scripture is clearly polytheistic. It is so conspicuous that there are more than one "Allah" in the Qur'an with the constant refrain of "WE created". If there have been only one "Allah" in the Qur'an, then we should not have read the plural pronouns of a deity who joins partners/associates with himself while forbidding his worshippers to recognize that fact.

There's only one way to settle this question of Islam's polytheism: who is the "WE" in the statement "WE created"? Is it Allah alone that created, or rather it was Allah and his associates? Who was Allah referring to as "WE"?

olabowale:

Unfortunately, all created things, Jesus, Muhammad (AS) are from this categories, hence they fall asleep, they do things of human, etc. Since they are elect of God, His messengers (AS) to mankind, they are at higher levels than than any one of us. Jesus performed miracles by the power given to him by God Almighty. Muhammad performed miracles by the power given to him by God Almighty.

Sadly, you're not being objective but dogmatically polarised. Muhammad was a created being, but Jesus was not. You can only say otherwise because you tend to judge everything else by Muhammad's tales. In the Bible, Jesus Himself said to the Jews that, "before Abraham was, I am!" (John 8:58 ) - meaning that He existed before Abraham did. Muhammad couldn't say that; and how then could you place them at par? And what miracles did Muhammad perform so much so as to bless even one soul? Far more than that, how could you even imagine for an instance that Muhammad is comparable to the righteous and holy Jesus when infact Islam's prophet was so sinful that he had to repent seventy times a day?

olabowale:

No christian criticizm that can make any true muslim talk ill of Jesus. I have more right over Jesus than any Christian, I accord him his rights and did not usurp the glory of God hy saying that Jesus is more or less than what he was. It is reasonable and make sense that Jesus is not God and not a son of God.

There are more Muslims I know who say unprintable things against Jesus Christ, the Cross and His work than you've ever met. You have no 'right over Jesus' at all other than the rascality your ignorance permits you to even utter that. It's not surprising then that you'd deny the deity of Jesus Christ as the Son of God, for that is what Muhammad denied in his career as a self-declared prophet and still could not tell what "Allah" would do to him in that day.

olabowale:

In the Bible Melchezdeket, king of Salem had no beginning, no end and no one know any of his family. Where is he today and this description of him make him more important in attribute than Jesus.

If Melchizedek was more important than Jesus, why did the Qur'an not recognize him as such? And why did Muhammad shy away from making any plain reference to the importance you're arrogantly stating?

olabowale:

There was no place in the Bible that Jesus was one on one with God, without the aid of angel. In this instance do'nt you think that Moses would be higher than Jesus (AS).

Without an angel, Jesus spoke one-on-one with the Father in John 11:42 - "And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me."

Without an angel, the Father spoke to Jesus in John 12:28 - "Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again."

And considering Moses and Jesus, in Hebrews 3 the Bible also says - "consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus. . . For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house." (vs. 1 & 3). In verses 5-6, it shows that Christ the Son is greater than Moses the servant. (Psst: Muhammad does not even appear among them, for God never sent him).

Does it not show now that you don't know the Bible as you claimed? I'm either convinced you failed your boasted WASC Examination on Bible study if you missed the above, or your claim was just empty so you could fill space on Nairaland.

olabowale:

If you are so lazy that you need a feel  good religion to make your life. Keep on with it. You will find out that the prerequisite of Paradise is not cheap and the doctrine inventor, Saul/Paul way will not safe you and it will come to Zero. Go back to Islam, you and your family and fear the fire of Hell, a horrible destination it is.

Thank you for noticing that the price of redemption for paradise is not cheap - but you know what? Christ paid it all for me with His own blood on the Cross - does that sound like a lazy, feel-good religion? That you obviously don't know what you're talking about would be more aptly suited to your case of laziness in scholarship. You still have an islamized hangover hate against Paul that you continue to miss the mark. Let me share with you a few of the reasons why my family finds joy in Christ the Saviour and can't return to Islam:

¤ The Saviour who sets free from sin is Himself sinless - Jesus Christ is His name (John 8:34-36);
Muhammad indeed confessed that he was sinful to the point of having to repenting over seventy
   times in a day.

¤ We found the reality of love, joy and peace in Christ, and those replaced the uncertainty, hate, and
   fear previously experienced in Islam.

¤ In Christ we found the respect and dignity for every human being, especially for women; and we  would
not need to worry now about the often-denied but very real maltreatment of women found in Islam.

¤ I enjoy the freedom and blessing of true morality and spirituality in faith, and now I don't have to worry
about the sexual promiscuity encouraged in Islam under various Islamic laws.

A lazy, feel-good religion, you said? That's your opinion, but it's the only experience that has given me true meaning and purpose in life, and the assurance that heaven is my home when Jesus returns.
Re: 60 Questions For The Christians by m4malik(m): 5:31pm On Jul 30, 2006
olabowale:

By the way, if you read Qur'an very carefully, you should have found that Allah praised Muhammad (AS) and clearly spoke about his going to paradise, for example in Suratul Fajr's last Ayah. Also in many places God spoke about the Companion of Muhammad, the Muhajirrin and the ansar (RA) are people He is pleased with. Tell me m4malik, when you are pleased with someone, do you altimately punish them or make way of ease for them.

Tell me Olabowale, if Muhammad was so sure of his destiny beyond the grave, would he have cried out that he didn't know what Allah would do to him in that day? It's plain simple: it's either he was not sure that paradise was actually meant for him, or the supposed "praise" Allah gave to Muhammad was invented to soothe his troubled conscience. In contrast, when we read of Jesus' promise of salvation, there's no hint of such confusion and uncertainity. It's a clear yes-yes or no-no! He left no room for doubts in His promise in John 14:2-3 =>

"In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."

Can anything be clearly or more reassuring? I don't want to spend my days following a self-declared prophet who was not sure where he was going and only had to comfort his companions with the tale of 72 virgins and rivers of liquer.

olabowale:

wer do not have the concept of 12 apostles of Jesus sitting and Judging the 12 tribes of Israel. Where will the non Israel tribe fits in this equation.

Read the equation in Revelation 7:9 -- "After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands."

olabowale:

What happens to Judas in this case, is he one of the Judges or Paul has now taken his place. Who judge Paul/Saul the destroyer of Jesus's true message with his own inventions. Where is the Almighty in all of these.

For the Judas case, read Acts 1:25: "That he [that is, Matthias - v. 26] may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place."

Paul did not take the place of Judas; rather, Matthias was chosen by lot to replace him (Acts 1:26). Paul was not a destroyer of Jesus' true message; it was rather Muhammad that came with his own inventions of a twisted and perverted alternative of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

In all of this, the Almighty was bearing witness and confirming the apostleship of Paul and the Twelve others with tremendous signs - so powerful that the dead were raised (Acts 9:40 & 20:9-12), demons cast out (Acts 16:16-18), and people delivered and turned to the way of the Lord in repentance and righteousness (Acts 26:19-20). So mighty were God's confirmation of the apostleship of Paul that the Bible says in Acts 19:11 -- "And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul."

If Paul was a destroyer of Jesus' true message, would the Almighty have approved of his apostleship with special miracles? You see that you have some empty vexations against the Bible you really haven't read, and you're making it more and more doubtful that you passed your WASC exams.

olabowale:

For those who have been to Makkah, please ask them of the animals of prey and what they prey

I would rather not ask, thank you - not after having read Ayatollah Khomeini's Islamic exposé on what Muslim men do with animals in his domain. I can't understand a religion that aces bestiality with a "revelation" and pretends that it is alright, while hanging teenage homosexual boys for being gay. Muslim men having sex with animals (what do you call that?) - and it is alright to excuse them, yes??

olabowale:

As to my writing, i am very comfortable with it and i have no problem with it. afterall, I am not expecting you to grade my work. that was many decades ago.

It really doesn't cost anything to put in a little effort to write well. But if can't afford to do that, then you're just proving your level of education - WASC, did you say? No harm meant, but I wonder if you made a good grade at all in English composition. Be honest.

olabowale:

If you wish, hear the truth and act upon it. If you are people of doom do as you wish. Hell fire will consume the Evil doers with a ferocious consumption. we all bear our own responsibility.

I've heard the truth in Jesus Christ and acted on it; in fair exchange I invite you to open your heart and see the difference He makes. Heaven is no respecter of persons, and those who have lived sinful lives under the pretence of "revelation" will not be found in the home of righteousness.

To m4malik, Alhamdulillah, I was looking for a job from anyone. Therefore, I do not have to justify my level of education. If you need to know, I studied Civil engineering in one of the most well known engineering Institutes in america. Further I was also matriculated into graduate program in architecture, which is my primary love. I am now an exchanger and presently get involved in design concepts in major projects that my organization is either doing the finance of it or own outright. As an Ijebu man, I love money so I direct my attention to it, so that sometimes i can spend ample time on what i like; Dawah. You see I do not have to justify myself to you. I have raised college educated children as well. They are men who respect their elders even when they disagree with them. It shows the kind of quality you got from your parents, knowing fully well as a Yoruba, probably so because i have not seen an Hausa who have left islam for Christianity, yet.
Further, your case is like the case of the one who is lazy and hopes that an invented short cut would stand up to a full commitment. I have news for you, it may not matter to you at this point, but you will find out soon enough; Jesus will not safe you. that was not the reason he was sent. Your case is with Allah the Almighty, alone. so is my case and the case of everyone.
As of the case of Melchezdeke, it was to bring you to a realization that from your bible, you will find even unusual personality, hence, if you reflect on it, you may actually realize the weakness of the hypothesis of Trinity, Son of God and God on earth as you have ascribed to Jesus the son of Mary (AS).

To reassure you, I appreciate good stuff where I see one. Your honesty in being Ijebu is applaudable. It's true you need not justify yourself to me personally - I was only pressing that you employ the rules of good writing, so that it could help those of us who read you.

On the whole, if you read me wrong or in an offensive manner, my apologies. What does it cost me to humble myself in respect of my elders - be they muslims, christians, . . . or even atheists? Please don't be offended, I'm not Gwaine!!

No problem - my elders still call me lazy when I visit Nigeria. Why? The vacuum cleaner I bought them is still unused and serves as interior decor in one corner of a room - after 2 years!! But commitment in my faith is another matter - you're only being mild, because you would not like to know what they call me. I've even been chased once with a dagger in Ilorin because I dared to tell them about Jesus Christ. That didn't deter me. I've stated once at least on the Forum that I don't mind being thrown into the fire or beheaded - and I've been threatened with the latter at least twice! In all these things, I still rejoice because I'm alive and well, and God assures me in my heart that Jesus is truly the Saviour and the Son of God.

Lazy? Maybe. But committed in my faith? Most definitely.
Re: 60 Questions For The Christians by olabowale(m): 11:20pm On Jul 30, 2006
@m4malik. Have you ever read the Qur'an, let alone studying it. this is a book without no equal. In many books written specifically to showcase the notables who had enter Islam; Islam their way, Why they became muslims, just to name a few, there was a section in it where the verses of the Qur'an was fed into a specifically designed computer, solely to certify the placement of each ayah relative to the one before and the one after it. They used a do loop system for this test. Its either at Carnagie Mellon University or one of the prestigeous Institutions in Europe. The Computer could not detect any discrepancy in Qur'an after analysing it, verse by verse. Further, Allah the Almighty put forward a challenge to mankind and Jinns to produce a book that is like the Qur'an. Few years ago, in the month of Ramadan, some outfit belonging to Christians published a book which they called Furqaan. Fruqaan is another name for Qur'an and also referred to other revelations from God, the Almighty. During that Month of ramadan, it was freely circulated amongst the Muslims. Everyone rejected it immediately. A foegery like that will never take hold amongst Muslims. You must also know that the enemies of Islam are many and have existed as soon as the messenger declared his prophetship (AS). In the 19 century England, there was a member of parliament who gave a speech that was very anti islam and in ending of that speech tore up a Qur'an to emphasis his hatred.
Immediately, another member got up and told him that even if you gather all the Qur'an copies that are on earth and destroy them all at once, it will not have any impact on this religion because the Qur'an is already memorized and is in the heart of all Muslim. Allah Himself is protecting it.
My concerns really is for you because Allah has promised a double portions of punishmentfor those who believed and then afterwards disbelived.
In many of the threads, I have heard many of the Christians saying that it is the Muslims who are asking people to revert. Yes, Muslim should wish good for every one, but what did you expect when you are thumping the Bible to the people who have said that they submit their wills to the Lord of the worlds. I would not run you out of town but will like to ask you to engage me in a dialogue where we both will have our presentations and have opportunity to ask each other questions in very civil enviroment. Maybe you maybe amiable to that in the future. I live in New York City, but i have a project that i am attending to in Boston for another month. After that, I will be very free and if you are available invite you to visit me in my home. The ticket will be on me. In October, I will be in Nigeria and if you are in Europe, I will gladly pay you a visit for the same purpose.
Allah is the Almighty Who can safe His slave from His own punishment. I am praying that the whole of mankind is safe. When you read the Qur'an and study carefully, yes, it is not a feel good and romantic book, but you will find absolute truth in it. Only Muhammad (AS) that his companions so much loved and care for him that they recorded every little detail of him. That included the number of grey hair strands on his head. He is the most imitated personality that ever walked the face of the earth. Most importantly, he is the successor of Jesus and the promised Comforter (AS).
Re: 60 Questions For The Christians by Nobody: 12:28am On Jul 31, 2006
olabowale nice try but you are talking to a man who need not memorize the bible to be assured of salvation for the holy spirit who lives within him has already done the work and bears witness that his name is written in the book of life.

The reason why the Korans flew off the shelf after 911 was that many like myself began to question what made muslims so violent and eager to kill strangers who had done them no wrong and then we open the Koran and see all the atrocities committed by Muhammad and the commands he gave to his followers.
Any one who even converts from hinduism to Islam has simply not read the Koran properly or studied the life of Muhammad,a pedophilic, murderous, womanising zealot who could not keep his eyes and hands off women and Children.

There are so many Northern muslims I know who have come to Christ,Arab muslims call in daily to Christian TV to repent and declare for Jesus but many keep it a secret for fear of being killed by your fellow muslims but God knows their hearts and He has counted them amongst the believers, when they email the networks, they ask that their names not be mentioned for the same reason.

You exhibit great ignorance in the scriptures you claim to have read.
I sent you an earlier link of how Christ has been revealing himself to hundreds of Muslims by visions and dreams due to the closed soceity they live in.I don't know if you bothered to read it.

What would anyone want in a religion that is full of hate, encourages pedophilia disguised as marriage,0k's some killing in the name of Allah.
The same Allah that says most women are in hell fire hence they are so degraded in Islam.
A religion that has laws about fornicating with  animals and molestation of infants.
A religion whose leader told his followers they could have 4 wives and yet he could not keep to that rule and married multiples of 4 including raping captives of war and taught his men the right way to rape women.

Why would any one want to follow Muhammad who declared openly that he did not know what 'Allah" would do to him at his demise.
You joined a little later,in earlier threads we had analysed the life of Muhammad, weighed him on a scale and he was found wanting.

Come to Jesus while you still have breath in you for the hour cometh when the son of God will come in his glory to quicken the living and the dead.
You have now heard the gospel and you are now without excuse.
It is my earnest prayer that the Lord of hosts will arrest you like he did to Saul on his way to damascus, and with those same lips shall you declare the wondrous works of Jehovah.

I leave you with some scriptures.

"Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart" (Jeremiah 29:12-13).

"Whoever comes to me I will never drive away" (John 6:37).

"In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the word was God. The word became flesh and made his dwelling among us, He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him, Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God." Pakistan: Woman Raped for Leaving Islam

June 27, 2006 www.crosswalk.com

Attacked by her own family, one Muslim’s decision to convert to Christianity highlights the precarious situation of Muslims in Pakistan who leave their faith. Sehar Muhammad Shafi, 24, has fled her home city of Karachi with her husband and two young daughters after being attacked and raped for changing her faith. Shafi told Compass Direct that her family lives with the fear of being discovered. “My husband is keen to get a marketing job,” Shafi said. “But I don’t want him to do something that open, where he will be known.” Though returning to Islam would seemingly solve many of Shafi’s problems, the Christian woman said that is not an option. “It is not a joke to change religions,” she said. “We’ve fallen in love with Jesus, so how could we betray him?”

A testimony of an Egyptian Muslim coming to Christ, risking death.

I was born in an average Muslim family in Egypt. None of my immediate family members were religious fanatics. But one of my distant relatives, a Sheik, who happened to be a prominent leader in the infamous Islamic brotherhood group, was released from prison after serving three years in connection with the assassination of the former Egyptian president Anwar El Sadat.

Soon after when we were visited by this Sheik, he invited me to go with him for prayer in a nearby humble mosque. There he introduced me to a prominent member of the group named Ali (not his real name). I started going to that mosque regularly on daily bases. Later on I was invited to Ali’s wedding where I met the great leader of the group, believed to be Sheik Omar Abd El Rahman who is now imprisoned in the United States in connection with the World Trade Center bombing in New York City.

Although that leader, called ‘The Doctor’, was blind, he possessed a tremendous personal characteristic that makes you feel he can see through you. ‘The Doctor’ asked me to accompany him, because all the group members who used to follow, him got arrested for terrorist connected activities (They assisted him by reading for him and by leading him).

During the summer of that year the group sent me to an allegedly religious camp in the city of Asuit, 230 miles south of Cairo. At the camp I discovered that the activities included shooting, making bombs, planting and dissenting explosives. These things shocked me so much that I couldn’t take it. When I first thought about the situation, I thought that this group misinterpreted the teaching of Islam and mixed religion with politics as we used to hear from the state media in Egypt.

So I decided to study the Quran and the Prophet’s sayings ‘HADEETH’. It took me 9 months to conduct my study, and the outcome confirmed that all the group’s activities complied with the teachings of Islam. This shocked me and completely destroyed my spiritual beliefs

So I left everything including my religion and became completely atheist. I used to think God existed but that we didn’t need him. During that time I had a Christian friend who was thinking of converting to Islam. I used to accuse him of being stupid enough to convert from Christianity, a religion that fooled him, to Islam, a religion that fooled the whole world.

Out of curiosity, I stole a bible from that friend’s house to read it. I started reading the book of The Song of Songs, and the elevated poetic language amazed me.

But I couldn’t understand its religious interpretations. At that time I started taking drugs and my life was rapidly deteriorating, then one day I had a toothache and I had to go to a dentist who happened to be communist, but he didn’t treat me because he was busy. Instead he referred me to a born again Christian doctor.

When I met this doctor I felt very comfortable dealing and talking with him. Whenever I felt down and needed someone to talk to, I used to visit his office pretending to have a toothache. He pleaded with me to stop taking drugs even for a week so he could treat my toothache. When I listened to his advice and stopped taking drugs for one week, the truth of my wrecked and meaningless life just materialized suddenly in front of me. I rushed into that dentist’s office completely destroyed and hopeless. When he saw me in this miserable condition, he apologized to his patients and closed his office to stay with me till the early morning hours of the next day.

Although I don’t remember one word of what we discussed that night, I remember that I finally found someone who was willing to listen and love other people without logical reasons.

A few days later I asked the dentist for a bible although I already had one, because I was hoping that he would explain the bible to me.

Instead he advised me to go to a certain Christian minister whom he described as an expert in comparative religion, Christianity and Islam. Despite the fact that I was reluctant to deal with any religious men based upon my previous experience, I went to the church to meet that minister.

In the olden days they said that curiosity killed the cat, but in my case it gave him life! I started meeting with ministers from that church for weeks, discussing the authenticity of the Christian belief and how God gave us free will even though he knows that we may make wrong decisions etc.

I was invited by the church to a Christian conference, there, I saw people living in a way I have never seen before, and bit by bit I started to believe in the principles of Christianity that I previously thought were a myth.

Later on I asked one of the ministers to pray with me to accept the Lord Jesus into my heart, because I believed that I had to do this without being under any emotional influence. When I prayed, I felt the awesome presence of the lord in the room with me right there and then!

But my physical ordeal was far from over. My father, who is still Muslim, realized that I converted to Christianity. He went over to my place and collected all my Christian books while I was away serving in the army and gave them to the police. (Converting from Islam is a crime punishable by death in any Islamic country).

I was arrested and interrogated by the state police in Egypt but was later released. I finished my army service and went to work in the private sector but I felt that this is not what I wanted to do. So I quit my job and devoted myself to the ministry of The Lord who loved me and died for me. Later on I was arrested again and imprisoned for almost a year for preaching the word of God. Not long after I was released, I found the woman the Lord prepared for me and we got married. Now I am finishing my theological school in preparation for my ministry among my brothers in flesh in Egypt.

.

My dear Sir,

There are three salient issues I would like to deal with in your last reply, and I hope you would not be upset with my honesty.

(1) Indeed I have both read and studied the Qur'an - and it was precisely because of that I left Islam, although it took me several months to openly declare my change of faith to my family (for fear of its consequences). There were questions that had no answers, and all I ever got from Muslim friends and leaders were stern looks to 'shut up and ask no further questions'. Certainly, I came to find the Qur'an as a book without rivals or equals in its inconsistencies, something which I had accused the Bible of previously. . . until Jesus Christ became real to me in salvation.

(2) Certainly sir, the enemies of Christianity are multitudinous and most of them have derided and maligned Jesus Christ, and continue to do so even up to the present. Who have arraigned themselves as sworn enemies of Christians by word and deeds more than any other people group? You know it's Muslims. The typical Christian attitude towards a convert to Islam is prayerful intercession and friendship in hope that such would someday rediscover the unfailing love of Christ and come back to Him before it proves too late. However, the typical attitude of Muslims towards a Christian convert from Islam is outrage and the desire to behead or kill them - and that is what most of them understand the Qur'an teaches. Ask yourself why Muslims would go to the extent of raping a Christian woman all in the game of expressing outrage at her conversion? Her family is not safe, neither are their persecutors at rest until they see them dead.

In my conscience before God, I reject a system of beliefs that promotes sexual vices among its adherents as a weapon against humanity. That is ungodly and thoroughly evil; and until Muslims throw away their hate against people of other faiths, it's really of no use pretending all's well in Islam.

(3) Salvation is not predicated upon wrong beliefs about God; and I fear no religion or "god" who threatens hail and brimestone on people, when in fact immorality and sin dogged the career of its prophet. If Jesus was righteous, as He surely was so regarded even in Islam, then I long to know His saving power to deliver from sin and wickedness, especially from the kind promoted in my former religion under the excuse that a "prophet" received them by "revelation".

God gave me a bold step of faith to stop making excuses for any prophets and objectively examine their claims. At the end of the day, that boldness (albeit I 'secretly' read the Bible) translated into the discovery and experience of God's true mercy in Jesus Christ. Please, take a moment someday and ask God to show you who Jesus Christ really is - and I guarantee you He will never disappoint you. Do it soonest. God bless.

To Ms. Babyosisi, Thank you for your advise. As stated in one of my early pieces, my mother was achristian up to just the past 2 years, whereby then she converted adopting the name Mariam. Further I was married to a Christian Nigerian woman until 1989 when we divorced.
In Islam, you do recognized that there is a prohibition against illegal sexual intercourse. if this is so and there is rule of trial and punishment, it is very clear to me that the muslims who engage in rape, a very evil form of illegal sexual intercourse are eithr ignorant and shameless with at least temporary hard heart and/or among evil doers. For if that rapist have been in a community where goodness is practise and evilness is frowned upon, he would have known it, rape does not agree with the heart and there is injuction against it in Qur'an and Hadith. Please read the condition and the judgement that was passed on the son of Umar ibn Khattab (RA) while he was the Kaliffah. The son committed illegal sexual intercourse.
You can not judge Islam by the action of the Muslims, you must judge Muslims by the book of Allah and the Sunnah of His messenger(AS). I will not judge christianity by the actions of the christians, but judge the christians by the book of christians, the New Testaments?.
You can judge christianity, Islam and Judaizm by comparing the holy books against one another. For me Islam agree with the heart. It does not call you to do things blindly. There is a balance to its rules and injuctions.
For example, I am a man who enjoys beautiful things and good life. So I am more inclined to the prettiest of women, however, I do not go beyond the bounds that is set by Allah and instructed by His messenger (AS)> I do not involve myself in illegal sexual acts. I know that I am a drinker and smoker at heart, even though I never have done either. I therefore avoid any and all conditions of it, vis a vis, I will never marry a woman who smokes and /or drinks.
As stated earlier, Islam is a complete religion, hence there are no question that is forbidden. Maybe, those who you have asked are ignorant themselves and have little understanding of the subject matter, but are disgenuinous in declaring so. Ilearnt about islam in America, of all places, even though i have been a Muslim all my life. I teach myself the recitation of the Qur'an in Arabic. I started listening to lectures , asking questionsfrom knowledgeable people, every chance I get to do it. More inportantly, I opened my heart to receive guidiance. I am still growing. the religion is like the ocean. You use the water for whatever you need it for and there is plenty of water, still around for others after you.
Maybe, we can get together and I will hope you ask your questions and since I am not a scholar, even not a strong student of Islam, I will direct you to those who know and provide you with a flood of websites where you casn post your questions for adequate answers. Remember, allah is the only One who knows. Read Suratul Kaf. Allah send Prophet Musa (AS) to learn that he did not know every thing and there are things on earth during his time that he had no knowledge of.
If the Yorubas, no, all the africans and specifically, the nigerian Muslims have have only done what is easy in Islam, like truly not associating anything with the Lord of the worlds in the way of His Messenger (AS), make sincere five salah per day, give charities, Compulsory and optional, fast as reuired and make hajj and avoid all kinds of evil, then by the mercy of Allah and not being arrogant by their deeds, Paradise will be guaranteed. However, people mix culture with islam. The arabs and others are not immune from this. the culture of Islam is definately different from the culture of the Arabs. However, if you practise Islamic cuilture it does not mean you have to discard your culture altogether. For whatever is good and wholesome in every culture is Islam.
I know that by Allah the Almighty, Christianity is not for me and i will never become one. Their women as beautiful as she can be do not attract for many reasons; lack of thorough cleaningness and there is no limit to what they do, they lack controls and immoral. Islam call for proper cleaningness. It also call for adequate moral qualities and to be moderate not going to any extreme in dealings. So if a woman who is christian or jew is attractive to me, i will bring islam to her. I will start from the believing in One Lord and not two, three, etc. If she agrees, I will ask her to become a Muslim, upon becoming one I can propose to her. She may or not accept. she has free will. But I will continue to encourage her to try to grow in Islam and marry a Muslim man of her chosing. You know it is illegal for Muslim Women to marry others. If you find a muslim who is dirty and immoral, he/she will be worse if he/she were to practise other religion. If you see a non Muslim who is clean and has good morals, because there are plenty of them, however when he/she becomes a muslim, the quality or cleaningness and morality will be very higher.
