plaetton: Anyone who is familiar with, or does a case study of military conflicts in Africa over the past 60 yrs or so would notice that the west, or various organs of the anglosphere, are usually the architects, facilitators and provocateurs of such conflicts.
Also notable is that the west always and always play both sides of every conflict by advising and arming both sides.
However, what you may never notice is that the west never ever arms either side for a clear and concise victory. Never.
The west cleverly gives only enough arms, enough support to sustain an intractable conflict.
The west are only interested in conflicts that last indefinitely till the nation state can no longer function as such.
Angola, Congo, Uganda, Sudan, and Nigeria are historical examples.

No one should delude themselves that west would give Nigeria weapons or intelligence ( which they have) to defeat boko haram. The chaos created by book haram is exactly what they wish for Nigeria. They can also use it blackmail and influence Nigeria's resource and geopolitical policies. This has always been the MO of the anglosphere.
