AmunRaOlodumare:NATO includes the US and some other states. This is specific to the EU. They want it to be European. The idea is to strenghen the European identity over the national one. |

Omarbah:I think both the (pan)European identity and the national ones can and will coexist with each other for along time. Probably thousands of years if not for eternity. |

Meja:I agree. You just need to spend time with coastal neighbouring tribes pokomo, Taita, Mijikenda tribes are closely related to Swahili linguistically. Then consider other far flung tribes like Zulu who share words with Swahili. 1 Like |

Meja:Not from the coast. But I've travelled the coast abit. I have Taita neighbours, which is also close to Swahili, and has travelled to the place. There, when they speak in their language, you just float for an hour, then you start understanding - so long as you Know Swahili. 1 Like |
