TO THOSE HAVING THAT PROBLEM, ESPECIALLY THE 1131 AND 1132 DECODER OWNERS. (SILVER AND BLACK PLASTIC DECODERS) IN THE PROCESS OF SCANNING, PRESS MENU ON YOUR REMOTE, LOCATE THE RESET TO FACTORY DEFAULT THEN ACCEPT BY PRESSING OK. I THINK THAT SHOULD SOLVE THE ISSUE AS IT DID SOLVED MINE. Don't worry about thanking me when it works.

Thought its only happening to us in Maiduguri, so its a nation wide problem. But come to think about it, we pay "so much" money on DSTV and getting poor receptions? What is the wisdom behind it?

Surplus90: experiencing the same thing here in Onitsha...scans,goes off,tries to rescan,goes off again, finally scans then suddenly trips off...three days and counting...I noticed mine since I obliged with dia recent software update three days ago

Nutase: I experienced it to this morning and the simple solution was to press menu and do a factory reset and it came up.

I had the same scanning issue a couple of days back, 24hrs after doing the decoder upgrade. And just like Nutase, i pressed themenu button on my remote and scrolled down to manual rescan and after that, i have been enjoying my view... Except for the ocassional freezing of pictures which may be attributed to weather, everything else is fine with my decoder. It even scans faster now.

Quickly press d exit button if u ever get to the pre-scan screen.

Type reset space follow by ur 10 digit smart card no & sen 2 30333

Where's NBC? They should come to the aid of subscribers because dstv is taking us for a ride. They only sent mail for subscribers with certain decoder models to take it for updates but not this scan and rescan, freeze and auto channel change.
We have right to know for payment of service not rendered.

am @ akure and mine has had d same issue since early diz year buh very often, sumtyms i myt be watching a live match and it just trips off and re-scan again
