During this time four years ago, in 2010, the Rivers State governor, Chibuike Amaechi, promised Rivers people that if he's given second term, he will complete all ongoing projects before embarking on any new ones, which he also promised to complete before leaving office 2015. Lo and behold, everything stood still after he was re-elected. The NIGERIA GOVERNORS FORUM, frequent media attacks on the president, Vice presidential ambition, Driving El Rufai up and down, BBC interviews and so on became more important to him than governance. The worst happened when he joined APC, that was when governance stopped. I want to share with you the photos from one of the projects he promised to complete in first year of his second term.

CREEK ROAD, PORTHARCOURT MAIN TOWN.

CREEK ROAD, PORTHARCOURT MAIN TOWN.
Is Amaechi not Amechi. Atleast get his real name before embarrassing yourself here.

So, you went to a bad area of stretched road to embarass yourself? Is that road once under construction or not? Why didnt you take the axis of Bundu to Lagos Bus stop- Station road-Azikiwe road
of same stretched?

Is unfortunate that the project stalled at creek road which is less than 1km remaining to complete and those market people decided to leave their sheds inside to sell. If Amaechi chased them out, he will tamed anti-Ijaw since they dominate there.

Now, Gov. Amaechi has said he will not be running for any political position in 2015. You should be worry for the Rivers PDP free for all instead embarrassing yourself.

Beside This is not Creek road. Creek road is dualised though not completed. You don't have upstairs in opposite direction

You must have drove through these roads before getting to that spot the marketers converted to sheds. Why not tell the Forumites that the entire roads in town are tarred. This is really childish of you

The OP is a f.ool..No amount of rubbish you post here would change the fact that Gov. Amaechi's administration was very impressive and only equalled by the administration of Gov. Diete-Spiff.

If you felt Amaechi would have solved the whole problems of R/State, then ure clearly deluded.

You can deceive anybody, not a PortHarcourt brought-up like me. Those photos you're parading here are all government house area. That high buildings are state secretariat. Show us the remaining good part of creek. road.
Bottom line is that the no go area for vehicles hence the invasion of traders.

egift my man, welcome. The power sector you're talking about is the hand work of Peter Odili the former governor. In fact, I've never seen anything he has done with 450 billion naira a year budget for eight years.

Mind you, Rivers state has more money than five south east states combined.

This is Jonathans 6th year you M.oron, and i dnt care if R/State has more money than the US, as far as it remains a state under the FG of Nigeria, its powers will be curtailed when an attempt at development is viewed to have overlapped the role of the FG.

Take Power for ex., RVSG requested that they generate, transmit and distribute, having invested heavily into that sector but the FG refused because they felt they should curtail the 'excesses' of a performing Governor.

If roles were reversed, Amaechi would have been the best thing to happen to Nigeria, while Jonathan with his lack of proactive leadership would have been a disaster.

Lastly, if you exert this same amount of energy into the affairs of your home state, i believe you will reap better rewards..if you aint comfortable with R/State, better get tha fvck off.

Over 170 roads, more of which are in the rural areas. All the roads are being built with drainage. Some of the major roads have been converted to dual carriageways with walkways, streetlights and greenery as well as drainage, most of them underground. Others are being converted to six lane highways. Some of the roads are:

Rumuola Road (completed).

A lot of other rural roads and internal roads in some Local Government Areas amounting to over 70 per cent of the Road projects constructed by the Amaechi administration has been completed and some still ongoing.

The major Flyovers are:

The Eleme Junction Flyover/interchange (completed)

The Agip/Rumueme/Abacha road Junction Flyover on Ikwerre Road

Tam David-West/East-West Road Flyover by Obiri Iwerre

Some of the bridges are:

The Ikuru Town Atlantic Ocean Bridge in Andoni
The Okirika Ring Road Bridges
The Unity road Bridges in the Ogoni-Andoni-Opobo axis
The construction of bridges across Bolo Creek with approaches
The construction of 6 rural steel bridges including the Ndoni steel bridge and the Orashi steel bridge which links communities on both sides of the Orashi River
Mbiama/Akinima road bridge
NyorKhana/KenKhana Bridge
Bori Boue Brigde
Abalama Tema Bridge amongst others

Most of the pictures i have are quite heavy and may take forever to load however feel free to dispute the projects listed above. Its no ones fault that Okirikas wan to live in their slum.
