Meaningless award with no bearing on the lives of nigerians! Nothing to celebrate! Finance minister of a country where millions of hard earned dollars are flown out in private jets for spurious reasons. Where inflation is uncontrolled! Regulation is almost non existent!! They should celebrate their ineptitude, that's what nigerians like... Congrats to nigeria for having the best finance minister... What a joke!! 2 Likes |

VcStunner:d truth is; Nigeria is what it is today for these icons. People that chose that very path that's not conducive. Indifferent to politics they poured out their will and let other Nigerians make names in their place by ridiculously exploiting politics. To all those politicians, that the Igbo are not in interested in politics does not affect the fact that they are the platform for your d politics u exploit. |

MilitaryMinded:if this award was bagged by Nhlanhla Nene of South Africa,or Seth Terkper of Ghana, you and your lot would certainly create threads bashing the minister on her inability to snatch the award. Now she did,and the award's connection to garri is now the case-study Most Nigerians can be scornful |

Our problem in Nigeria is we refuse to think and we refuse to face facts even if they slap us in the face. Under her watch 1) Nigeria's economy has not diversified and goverment is heavily dependent on ol revenues 2) Foreign and local debt are soaring 3) Under her watch we had the oild subsidy scandal of unprecedented proportions 4) Corruption and unaccountability are at an all time high 5) There is no strategy for .youth employment There is absolutely nothing to distinguish her from ANY OTHER finance minister we have had Whether in terms of ideas, plans ,strategies or achievements. She continues to ride on glories past and external to her current remit. The exchange rate has reached its lowest levels ever BUT during her time as Finance Minister under OBJ and Now oil prices have been at its highest EVER level and she has superintended a RECORD LEVEL of oil revenue . What do we have to show for this except the praises of the World Bank and the IMF 1 Like |

natureblack:Award by a magazine!! Have you ever bought the magazine. How many people buy it Any body can wake up and hand out awards. How is this award of any greater significance than awards handed out by Mr Ibu ? The chairman of the Magazine's advisory board is Bamanga Tukur, former PDP Chairman which tells us all we need to know |

Temidayo9:Who said the award is from white people Do you know anything about the magazine why talk like an illiterate. I wonder what people do in school these days. It is reported someone won an award . Why not simply "google" who it is that is giving her this award and do a little research? That is not hard is it? 1 Like |

What simple research reveals is this is a shady group that is not pround to reveal where or who its main financiers are That then raises the questions; what authority do they have to issue such awards and how much value should we place on it? Is it any more meaningful an award of Gala seller of the year? 1 Like |
