Since Domainking is off, whats the next step in transferring .com domains to another registrar? |
Re: The Domainkingng Thread by Viktor1983(m): 11:41am On Feb 28, 2017 |
I've been reading up stuff on the web with regards to this kind of issues , I was on icann.org, was trying to find out steps to take when these kind of issues come up.... I found forms https://forms.icann.org/en/resources/compliance/complaints/transfer/form to fill but the options never brought up anything pertaining to our issues... I own a .Com domain, from what I'm seeing ,looks like nira can easily find ways to help owners of .Ng domains since it's their sole responsibility to do and undo as regards .Ng domains.... I was redirected to www.internic.net from ICANN.org Saw links as regards registrar being incommunicado... That's where I am now, anyone who has time and know how to follow these kind of issues up should help me out.. 1 Like |

You can find out who your registrar is , my search did not say domain King is my registrar...It said something entirely different, that's where I found out that domain King is a sub registrar.... http://www.internic.net/whois.html |

Re: The Domainkingng Thread by lanre316: 5:09pm On Feb 28, 2017 |
But there should be a way to recover our website contents and a way to transfer our domain to another registrar/host. I registered and hosted on domainking. My problem is compounded by the fact that my backups are on their server, no offline backup. And some of my websites/ blogs have up to one year regularly updated contents. If anybody knows any solution or what can be done, please say something, abeg. My clients are on my neck. 1 Like |

ridbay:You are right. I think PDR is the main registrar. https://publicdomainregistry.com/ |
Re: The Domainkingng Thread by Viktor1983(m): 8:26pm On Feb 28, 2017 |
ridbay: Yea..Most registrars are too.. You might be accredited by nira as a registrar for .Ng domains but when .Co ,.Net, and .Com is involved you might just be a reseller for another registrar accredited by ICANN |
Re: The Domainkingng Thread by Viktor1983(m): 8:28pm On Feb 28, 2017 |
DanWrites: Only for .Com,.net and others... Domain King is fully accredited for .Ng domains by Nira Anyways I've written publicdomainregistry via a form on their site, just keeping fingers crossed to see if any leads will come from there. |
Re: The Domainkingng Thread by DanWrites(m): 8:57pm On Feb 28, 2017 |
I wonder why ICANN has not intervened yet in this. By their standards they are supposed to handle issues like this. |

This requires giving out log in details on the Domainking account which includes my password That means you can use the log in details for other accounts that does not relate to Domain king like facebook etc hostx: |
