You are one funny dude, Ok you want me to quote what put him in good light? I am only repeating what he said and that is no crime just as you are quoting what you assume that will make people not to vote GEJ.

Abacha is not corrupt is the same as saying stealing is not corruption. Abacha stole fact. that is why GMB said he was not corrupt. So GEJ and GMB are saying the same thing.
During Buhari's time-my cousins didn't walk d streets of Lagos looking for jobs after graduation.
Power supply was constant.
The naira was very strong
There were working refineries.
Corrupt politicians were put behind bars.
My dad even wasn't interested in extending his stay in d UK cos d country was WORKING.
Inflation rate was low.
I remember vividly well. Let's start d comparison!

There was never a time when electricity was constant in Nigeria. So use another line. Refinaries stopped working even before GEJ became Deputy Gov. Some people still don't extend their stay in UK as at today so its your dads choice.

You still never tell us why your GMB said Abacha is not corrupt. From your own point of view Is Abacha Corrupt?

So we should elect the person who said that ABACHA is not corrupt.

And what should we do with the one who pardoned his son with over 400 Bn Naira breathing in his account and is set to handover Kano state governorship ticket of his party to this same Abacha's son?

The President didn't mean stealing is not corruption, you must understand the angle from which he was coming. He was looking at the broader definition of corruption. Stealing no doubt is one of the make-ups of corruption but I guess Mr President was coming from the angle of corruption being a whole range of misdeed of which abuse of office for personal gain is a part.

Perhaps the President was insinuating that the theft aspect have been glorified, while other parts have been left untouched.

By the way, the President is human so he is not immune to error and so we can't continue to rub this statement on his face afterall, some of those found guilty of embezzlement have either been prosecuted, or relieved of their appointments.

List those convicted of corruption in the last 4 years and by the side list those who have been pardoned or simply relieved to go and enjoy the loot

There was never a time when electricity was constant Huh? So power supply in GMB's days was d same as it is now
Abacha was corrupt but it wasnt GMB's call to prosecute him.. I didn't hear him say that verbally but the whole world saw GEJ on national TV make that statement.
In comparison to GMB, how many corrupt politicians have gone to jail? How many have been pardoned? How many have been honoured by GEJ
So, why didn't GEJ tell us he won't fix d refineries during his campaign? I'm tired of hearing statements like- "Good luck inherited d rot". If u can't fix it, why contest and give people false hopes?
Buhari fixed d mess he inherited from Shagari, didn't he GEJ added to d ones he inherited. Thats d difference!

Both of them are the same. Saying that Abacha is not corrupt means he can as well pardon him if he Abacha is still alive and GMB is the president. So if you want to campaign for GMB go ahead but dont rub it in on us that he is not corrupt. All the politicians in Nigeria are corrupt bar none. All nigerians are corrupt bar none.

GEJ pardoned corrupt Abachas son, GMB dissociates ABACHA from all corruption. So what is the difference btw the two?

What thing did Buhari do as a former president that positioned Nigeria for growth/progress?

Nigeria's debt accumulated by Shagari was been payed and almost liquidated before IBB struck
Nigeria stopped been a drug carrier and traffiking haven
He accelerated the construction of Shiroro Dam
He ensured Naira was not devalued and stronger than the dollar, IBB accepted SAP/IMF and we are here today
He ensured fuel was supplied from only local refineries without any importation and without awarding any politician expensive TAM contracts and accelerated the construction of 2nd PH refinery
As Federal commissioner of petroleum he supervised the construction and commissioning of Warri & kaduna refineries, the PDP government of Obsanjo/Yardua, Jonathan for 16 years has not scratched the ground to build anything like that
As PDTF chairman the money was used for tangible projects some still visible today and most generally acknowledge the fund was judiciousluy used, what has Jonathan done with 32.3 Naira x 45 million liters daily for the past 2 years since subsidy was reduced?

NB:
He was Head of state for 20 months

Power supply can not be the same as other factors are not the same. Mind you am not saying GEJ perfomance is spot on, all am saying is GMB is not better. As corrupt as IBB was he gave us 3rd mainland bridge, what structure can you point at today to remember GMB in Nigeria?. GMB can send anybody to jail cos he has the absolute power as millitary dictator, GEJ cannot do that and GMB cannot do same if he become president again. So you guys should use your brain. In a sane country Atiku, GMB,GEJ,OBJ, IBB, TINUBU and 1000s of them should be langushing in jail but in Nigeria they are all king makers. So tell will GMB send Atiku, obj, ibb, tinubu and GEJ to jail when he win? Imposible so nothing changes who ever win btw the two of them. What mess did buhari inherit from shagari and what mess did he fix, can you name one pls.

Epic fail, when Abacha's son pitched his tent with Buhari's party CPC and sought Kano governorship ticket, he was denied mainly because he failed the integrity test. He had to run into the waiting arms of PDP/GEJ who has since discharged him from all corruption cases and left huge loots in his hands and will be contesting as governor on the platform of your preferred party.

That is the mistake you guys make, IBB did not conceive the 3rd mainland bridge it was only completed during his 8 year tenure. the bridge was started in the 1970's fact. It was almost finished by the time IBB took power. For you to be asking about what mess Shagari created betrays your young age and lack of understanding of that time, but i will help you.

Due to sudden crash of oil prices, Shagari's government could not sustain it's profligate spending profile and looting scams perpetrated by the guy someone earlier accused Buhari of kidnapping from the UK to face justice (good the kidnap victim was a muslim or some will again cite evidence of hatred for Christian).

Rather that cut the wasteful spending, the Shagari government decided to borrow to finance the massive consumption, importing all manner of consumables. then industries could not source foreign exchange to buy raw materials. Hoarding of goods became the order of the day as prices became unstable. Nigeria could not honour it;s payment obligations for this loans as oil oil prices crashed further and it was unwilling to cut government overhead and other frivolous expenses. Drugs and essential commodities were scarce as industries could not buy raw materials. Shagari introduced austerity measures that were belated and hardly cut on government waste and spending on frivolities.

Since the government had nothing to campaign with for a second term like the current government, it resorted to financial inducement and buying of votes leading to political crisis, looting, arson and rioting in many states. This kind of spending on election further depleted government's ability to meet it's basic obligations.

The only way to change a Shagari govt that is incompetent is through ballot box and not barrel of gun. So no excuse will sink. Since Shagari spearheaded all these you mentioned why then did GMB give him house arrest and send his deputy to prison? That doesnt sound logical. Maybe you can give an insight.

Electricity has never been constant in Nigeria since i know what electricity is. If the headline on this paper is correct it means nepa wasnt constant during GMBs brutal regime.

Buhari inherited massive debts, high inflation rate and a crumbling economy due to monumental corruption.. He fixed most of it in such a short period... Satisfied?
Buhari doesn't have to probe those who stole when he wasn't in power; all he has to do is make sure it doesn't continue when hes there unlike GEJ. He also wouldn't pardon peeps like Alams and co neither does he have to let failures like Abba Moro go unpunished unlike GEJ... Its simple isn't it?

Power supply may not have been 24hrs but it was constant.. For people to have protested blackouts tells u how rare and strange it was then.
My point is - why contest and make promises when u know u can't fix it? I voted GEJ in 2011; I won't believe any of his promises this time around.
