Before i say anything let me introduce myself so that you can know the person writing this to you.
I am young man of 28years i cannot say i'm a virgin,but i have never had mature sex in my life,so i can say i don't know how it feels when someone has sex.but you know what, this my 14th year of celibacy. Yes is over 14 years i involved in my last sexual activity and i'm not ready to give -in now until after my wedding in less than 2 years time.
The purpose of writing this is that i discovered that , the life of many youths today have been destroyed as a result of their promiscuity.
Sorry i bore you with words these are practical ways you can subdue your sexual desire avoid pre-marital sex
1 Give your life to Christ: let me tell you as youth you unless you are impotent you have hormones running in your vein that will indulse your sexual urge because of the youthful age. But when you give your life to Christ,Holy Spirit will dwell in you thus this will help you to subdue your sexual urge.
2 know your self:socrate said i quote 'knowing oneself is the begining of all wisdom'. For someone like me i have a high libido. I don't invite opposite sex to my house just any how because i leave alone.i don't want to tempt myself. The Bible says in the book of 1corinthian 10:12 that wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
3 Avoid porn,sex magazine or write up: I'm telling you now,no matter how you stand as a Christian when you indulge yourself in this activity,this may turn you to unrepentant fornicator overnight.
4 Keeping unnecessary boyfriend or girlfriend is at your own peril: As a male or female don't keep unnecessary girl friend or boy friend; wait! Boy friend or girl friend of a thing don't even come unto this,seek the face of the Lord wether you are a lady or guy to know the person destined for you so that you can plan your life together.
5 Desist to be a sunday-sunday Christian: As a Christian you must join a department in your local church to serve,this make you grow tremendously &also edify the body of Christ.
6 Studying the word of God: I tell you the best moment in your life is when you read,study,meditate & obeying the word of God. This will give you inner strength to overcome temptations that may come your way.
7 Fasting and prayer: Apart from the fact that fasting and prayer will help you grow as a christian it will also help you to subdue your sexual desire and make you close to God.
In conclusion i want to charge you from the book of romans 12:1 which says I beseech you therefore brethren by the mercies of God,ye present your bodies a living sacrifice holy,acceptable unto God,which is your reasonable service. Sexx is sweet and enjoyable if you are legally married but if not it can turn to fire and consume you.
