The reason I said so is because,
1-You will need money for your transportation to work daily

2-You will need money for your feeding daily

3- You need money to buy good clothes for work
4-You need money to pay for your rent because if you were staying with someone when you start working everything changes nobody want to hear that you are not collecting salary and same goes to your girlfriend and family as well, so brother it is impossible to change this narrative perhaps sentiment.
I get you bro, if small small bonuses are coming in, I'm good!
PS remove that(@Bold) please, it's far from being a priority

Despite the ban on replacements/recruitments. Some people's connection is as strong as 5G and as such have ways of getting jobs. Its pretty straightforward what he wrote.

Indications have emerged that more public assets may be put up for sale by the Federal Government as the Bureau of Public Enterprises reviews the 2020 Privatisation Work Plan.

Checks by our correspondent revealed that work on the review of the privatisation work plan is ongoing. The revised 2020 budget has a deficit of N5.37tn.

Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Mrs Zainab Ahmed, had said the Federal Government intended to finance the deficit through domestic and foreign borrowing, as well as proceeds from privatisation of public assets.

Our correspondent learnt that the BPE is reviewing the 2020 Privatisation Work Plan. The review of the work plan was informed by the drop in the projected revenue that will accrue to the Federal Government within the year.
Director General of the BPE, Mr. Alex Okoh, confirmed the ongoing review of the privatisation work plan to our correspondent on Thursday.

Responding to enquiries by our correspondent, Okoh said, “We are currently reviewing the Privatisation Work Plan for 2020 to determine the transactions that are feasible within the fiscal year in view of the disruption caused by the COVID-19 health pandemic.

“We should be ready by the end of next week.”
Although Okoh did not disclose whether the review will require putting more public assets up for sale, the need to source funds for the N5.37tn deficit in the 2020 budget may compel the Federal Government to seek more revenue from additional privatisation transactions.

Before the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic instigated the ongoing review of the 2020 Privatisation Work Plan, the BPE had targeted the generation of N266.8bn as revenue from the sale and commercialisation of public assets during the year.

The sum of N3.9bn would be expended on the trans-actions, leaving a net revenue of N266.8bn.The bulk of the projected 2020 transactions are in the energy sector, where the BPE targeted N268.3bn.

The transactions from which the BPE planned to generate the N266.8bn include carry overs from the 2019 approved work plan, such as completion of sales of Yola Electricity Distribution Company and Afam Power Limited and Afam Three Fast Power. The transactions also included the Nigeria Integrated Power Projects.

Other transactions in the initial 2020 work plan include sale of additional shares of Geregu to Amperion Power, Tafawa Balewa Square, Bank of Agriculture, Dowell Schlumberger Nigeria Limited, NMC houses, Nigeria Commodity Exchange and River Basin Development Authorities and Lagos International Trade Fair complex

I have been following this thread long enough. I have some personal opinions about this employment. It’s not an attack on anyone plssss. Feel free to also correct me where necessary:
1. I dnt think any employment is currently happening reason being that this covid (real or not) has affected the economy. I dnt think it’s the govts priority to employ anyone at this moment. All the applications done before the covid might take a while Before they are being reviewed self and most staff have not even resumed office. Especially those that stay in the outskirts of abj and lagos hardly come to town. So if half the employees are at home, then how do we expect employment to take place? I feel we need to give it a few months before we start talking about this employment with full force because as of now, I dnt think anything is happening even with those claiming underground connection.
2. My friend is a senators niece and she tld me two months ago that her uncle gave her 2 letters. One for NCC and the other for NERC and both organizations rejected her. That they have too many letters from senators and it’s getting to much for them. I also remember that her uncle (the senator) once telling me that it’s easier to get a job under the committee they are heading rather than letters to any organization of your choice. So for now, I think he’s going to give her a job under his committee although Most organizations under it dnt really pay well. So let’s see that happens.
3. Lastly, before the lockdown, I got a letter from an influential senator but I got it a week before lockdown officially started and truth be tld I dnt know if the letter would mean anything after the lockdown. Before I got the letter, I was tld that do I know how many letters from senators and ministers that organization has rejected? that I would need another influential person to talk to the md on my behalf and let the letter just serve as an added advantage. so that means connection on top of connection! Smh. I was able to get the influential person who knows the md personally and was even willing to take me to the organization to meet the md before all this covid Wahala started. Like I said before, I dnt know if the letter would mean anything for now.
To sum up everything I said up there, this job thing is not abcd. Yes some people are lucky to get it easy but Those that aren’t have to be extra patient and prayerful. Not look at themselves as failures. It’s not really our fault but a product of a very corrupt system. that’s by the way. Let also let’s not allow ourselves to get duped all because of they are desperate. May God hlp us all

I understand you, but don't say because your friend's own was denied means yours will be rejected, shut your shot first before you conclude that your letter will not be accepted..
I believe some agencies that advertize their recruitment are compiling names and also waiting for approval to call names for collection of appointment while some are waiting to be documented. Just like someone said earlier, government won't announce that the embergo has been lifted before you start seeing new staff in a federal organization..
I would advise if you have connections start pressing your botton now.

NCDC even did documentation last week. I know someone who did on Salary Grade Level (SGL08) CONHESS 7 Step 2. (#1,151,313) per annum. And she got her appointment letter during this same covid-19 saga o. Things are still happening in some places
NCDC should not be included in the embergo because they are very essential this period, but I know something's will still be going on.
