In a reformed Biafra state, gej won't qualify as local government senior administrator. He will be manageable in teaching. But in rogue Nigeria,he is relatively better. 2 Likes |

pazienza: Igbos are not part of the south-south. Members of the south -south have been highly organised from centuries ago. Igbos on the other hand, have never been organized from time immemorial. For eg, before the white man, there was never an organised political body referred to as the igbo nation and this is because even the igbos did not know the geographical boundries of their ethnic group. This is because they could only politically organize themselves into villages and clans. That is why they knew the boundries of villages and clans. That is the highest level of civilization the igbos have historically had. This is the reason why you never heard of the igbo-efik or igbo-tiv wars. The igbo militiary machine never existed because that political unit did not emerge. Instead you hear historically, of inter-clan wars (between igbos). This is the historical height of the igbo's ability to organise himself into a political unit. Most other ethnic groups in the south-south however, historically have well structured governments. They have written history because they learnt to read and write on time. Chieftaincy titles are not invented at will because the stools remain the ancient ones that existed hundreds of years ago. Besides all these, the people of the south-south are so referred to because they occupy the geographical south-south region of Nigeria.. I think it is the lack of deep rooted cultural heritage (in terms of organization) that causes the igbo man to make a cultural nuisance of himself, dreaming under the influence of indiscipline and ignorance that the more advanced south-southerners will disappear into them. The same nuisance can be observed when under the influence of something we really can't explain, they without shame, have boldly said that the ancient yoruba lands of lagos belong to nobody (in a bid to lay thieving fingers on it). The only way to treat such disrespectful behaviour is to give it to the igbo man as it is and remind him that there are efiks, ibibios, tivs, urhobos, etc in lagos and other parts of the country, but he is the only one making a nuisance of himself this way. Now, if you want by any means to become part of the south-south, we collectively refuse and reject you. It is so now, It will always be so. We know who you are. We know how you are. We see how you misbehave in Lagos, disrespecting your hosts. We are not the only ones that see. Other Nigerians in other parts of Nigeria also take note. The best Nigeria will ever give you is offer you Biafra on a platter (if that will ever happen) so the five igbo states can finally be their own country for good. But to better understand yourself as an Igbo man, please read the thread https://www.nairaland.com/1966541/igbo-nation It dives into the root cause of the misdemeanours confidently displayed by the igbo sect of people in Nigeria. ~ South-South voice 7 Likes |

If Biafra is actualized today, the South South is definetely not going to be part of it. The South East and Anioma can go alone. |

pazienza: We all know that the state boundries in Nigeria do not fully correspond with ethnic boundries. While I do not know where Okpanam is, I do know that some igbos are found in delta state (delta igbos). An example of this can be seen in the case of the people of Umuezeokoha community, who happen to have been carved into Benue State (instead of Ebonyi state) when they are clearly Igbos. You cannot call them Middlebelters on account of their being grouped into Benue state. Can you claim that Igbos are middle-belters simply because Umuezeokoha was carved into Benue state during state creation? In the same same vein, there are communities in Northern Rivers State, who by their culture and language, are Igbo. These people are the Omuma people and the Etche people. Also, parts of Ikwere (not all) seem to be igbo related. In human categorization, where two different categories meet, there is often a blurring of the lines at the boundry until there is a complete difference further down. Will you claim that Igbos are south-southerners because Omuma and Etche were carved into Rivers state during state creation? Have you heard of Akoko Edo (Western Edo state)? The people there are Yorubas. Do you see the Yorubas confusedly trying to claim to be south-south? ~ South-South voice 1 Like |

coolscott: So, in other words, Etche, Ndoni, Anioma,Oyigbo LGA, Ogba, Ndoki people in Akwa ibom, are not south southerners to you, simply because they speak Igbo/Igboid language. Now, that's an interesting perspective, a myopic one, i must say. Please what is the name of your ethnic group? 1 Like |

Today today, as we are talking, Nigeria cannot divide. It is not possible. Stop unpatriotic wishful thinking. Nigeria has advanced beyond Nzegwu, Gowon, Biafra, Joe Garba, Dimka, Abacha/Shagari, Abacha/Buhari, Abacha/IBB. God Himself has stabilised this Country using Gowon, IBB, Adekunle, and AA to some extent, OBJ all the time and GEJ who is doing it. Thesame God who stabilised the Country till now, is on stabilising it and will continue to uphold Nigeria from all negative actions and reactions against her. |

Orunto: It wasn't God who created Nigeria,it was the British, and it wasn't God who re united Nigeria in 1967-70, it was the British, her arab allies and the USSR. And it isn't God that is currently keeping Nigeria stable, it's the lucrative crude oil. You believe in a united Nigeria, i believe in a Republic of Alaigbo, it's a free world, only parasites force co existence, free living things don't. It's a free world, live and lets live. achi4u: Basically, you will vote for Jonathan before you will vote for Buhari? Its okay to just say that, if thats really what the issue is.It may be more PC for you to feign preference for someone other than GEJ......lol That is the issue and the reality. Many people will not vote for GEJ because they think he is great, but because they are rejecting Buhari. Many will use their vote, simply to prevent Buhari being president, rather than keep GEJ president. If APC really thought about it, they would never have made Buhari presidential candidate. He should have been nominated vice, if anything. Fashola for president would have almost guaranteed a change of government, but because of ego and selfish political ambition, Buhari had to be the presidential candidate instead. 1 Like |
