The Nigeria Army is Slowly But Steadily Destroying Boko Haram. by Aksonman: 8:57pm On Nov 04, 2014
While Boko Haram is busy sending deranged fighters to attack remote towns & villages, the Nigerian army is busy bombing all of Boko Harams hardware locations.

From the most recent Shekau video, it could be seen that Boko Haram has lost most of its Tanks, and road worthy jeeps. The video featured some dead looking vehicles at the background, with a Shekau impostor keeping a clear distance from the camera so as not to be identified.

As we speak, the only active segments of what is left of Boko Haram is their suicide fighters and media partners.

This is how Boko Haram takes territories: A group of insurgents attack a town or village and destroy administrative structures. After the attack, the insurgents move into residential homes taking occupants as hostages, knowing fully well that the Nigerian army cannot attack civilian locations. From there, they hoist a flag and send a message to their media partners to help announce to the world that a new territory has been taken over.

The Nigerian army on the other hand simply steps back and imposes a blockade on the town/village making life miserable for the insurgents, their supporters and unfortunately innocent residents. This is the situation in towns like Bama and Gworza. Whenever these militants decide to go invade another town for food supplies, they get attacked and killed by Civilian JTF or the military. This is a painfully slow tactic but it might be the only way to manage a war with bed bug-like insurgents that are prepared to go the long haul.

On fleeing soldiers; whenever insurgents attack a town without any prior intelligence report, every soldier on duty must think safety first. Secondly, let's not forget that most Nigerian soldiers have become victims of Boko Haram's elaborate propaganda war. Like the rest of us, these soldiers have access to local and foreign news media. They keep reading or hearing about the reappearance of Shekau, his invincibility and how his fighters takeover Nigerian territories with ease. This same method was used on the 'American trained' Iraqi army during ISIS advance on Northern Iraq, leading to many Iraqi soldiers fleeing their post. Today, a once ill-equiped and less fancied kurdish Peshmerga force are the ones giving ISIS a good fight and retaking territories.

When we allow a section of the media (in the name of opposition) to totally demoralize our armed forces and citizenery in the face of media savvy insurgents like Boko Haram, then we are all asking for defeat.

This is one of the most useless and senseless opening posts I've ever read on this forum.

Even the DHQ and the FG (that have ordered the military to flush the insurgents as at today) won't be impressed by the self deceit and attempt at patronage masked as patriotism.

So you all know more than Atiku and the Borno deputy governor.

The same armed forces that claims the bravery for the murder of over three millions Biafrans?

let's make u a scapegoat, u asslickar!

This same boko haram has been more fierce after the supposedly cease-fire in which the govt deliberately defrauded us of hope and cash...

After the course of the unfortunate,
More proplr were abducted again,
A succesful caliphate created, and
More of our soldiers fleeing the hot zone..

Now let's be real and simple: which war were they winning?

Just recently, it's a suicide bombing during an open celebration, killing and slaughtering of christians openly and many more of such erroneous acts by these group..

If u think and u are sane, dnt u think we shldnt celebrate these lies so that we can focus on the real problem?

For yrs, this corrupt govt had spent (as the made us undstnd), nothing less that $30billion on weapons yet, no weapon, no sustainable weapon..more soldiers fleeing and running for their lives. Who blames them shld be made to face the mutinity courts instead of those soldiers. No training, no motivation. Is this not the time to recruit massively into the army? Let's say contractual which is nothing less that 5yrs so as to kukuma face this issue?

Dude, if this is how war is won, then let's pray the any spiritual battle in ur life will be won in this manner by God's grace. Amen

so, it was the soviet union, britain and egypt that helped the nigerian army kept peace in liberia, seria leon and many of those war ridden country?

Dude, how many white soldier were captured or reported by the press during the time u were squashed like a rotten tomato?

So, u received no international aid? Was that lie u were told? Wot abt top marcenaries from Britain who came with their men and were in command of your battalions? Abi u though ur forefathers were the one really in control?

Armand lanarelli, goosens, william(from Britain), mockler, steiner golf etc..all these people were of different nationality, and they were backed by their various govt who want to make it appear like they were not involved and couldn't ban any mercenary from working with them..they got enuff supplies.

The red devil tanks built was clearly with the help of France.

Dude, let's forget that abeg..we knw the whole truth..but the fact remains that this Nigerian army is deliberately being starved with motivation and weapons by this administration who wanted to perfect a cause?

Did u even knw that the govt is willing to postpone election because of the 'crisis' in the North? A self-made crisis..

This plan of theirs to keep profiting financially thru related crisis has been debated and blown open since 2012 and yet, it prevails..

Who is deceiving who?

This is the most terrible piece have ever read...A state of emergency was declared, meaning the place is a semi war zone if not a full war zone..

And the lame excuse/s the writer could give is:

"if soldiers are attacked the first instinct is fleeing for safety"

"BH is been destroyed bit by bit after they must have taken some more territory"

If this is the way COAS and other top echelon of the armed forces are going to win the war, then I think its high time we seek for foreign help...

because if the above claim/s by the OP is true, then we are doomed...

The op posted this gibberish without taken into account the suffering of the inhabitants of the captured territories. The victory of any war is to seize and control territories, any other thing other than that is a poor tactics, and that's what the insurgents are doing. You can't be mounting seige on both your foes and people. Is either you are protecting your territories or pursueing your enemies out of your territories. Every descern person here will realise that the op posted this ill conceived trash to spite the opposition. Face the real opponent-Shekau and stay clear of APC.
