The Igbos are in the process of filing a petition in the international Criminal Court in the Hague whose purpose is to persecute those accused of war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide.
Yakubu Gowon, Olusegun Obasanjo, Muhammadu Buhari and others are been reported to the international Criminal Court by the igbos for war crimes against the Igbo children which led to crimes against humanity; for the genocide on millions of igbo children during the NIGERIA - BIAFRA CIVIL WAR.

Igbos are patient and do not want to rush the process of Referendum because they are waiting for the outcome of Presidential Tribunal ruling to know whether it will favour Peter Obi and declared Obi the authentic winner of the February 25th Presidential Election.

Asking for referendum is not a crime under the Nigeria constitution, likewise protests by Nigerians.

The igbos from the south east region of Nigeria have spoken that If Peter Obi lose out of the Presidential Tribunal ruling that igbos will surely have their own country called the Republic of Biafra through referendum and special duty tasks force compulsory disassociation from the Nigeria state.

From all indication it shows the igbos wanted to remain in Nigeria but the igbos have complained of the out of control of some Nigeria Politicians who are looting the igbos resources with out the igbos knowing about it and the indisciplined action of preventing an Igbo person from becoming the President Of Nigeria.

The igbos have also concluded plans to sue all those that participated in the Biafra genocide of closed to two millions children who died in Nigeria - Biafra civil war in ICC and federal high court of Nigeria.
