@geesampower - Wonderful thread. One of the very best. Thumbs up. Can one build his solar power capacity over time? For example starting with 1kVA capacity in the first year, then in the second year investing some money and increasing capacity to 2KVA, then do this over again after some time till you get to the capacity you want? If this is possible, how can one go about it? What will be your advice? |

peaceland: since you mentioned rotecch in earlier post, can it be assumed you dealt with a rotecch sir? I found out the fault is entirely mine. Sorry for the mixup. I have since removed my comment. I had saved two numbers on my phone. One of them was definitely rotech's number. The other number belonged to another fitting guy on nairaland. I made up my mind to contact rotech for my fittings. I picked one of the two numbers and started discussion. I did not verify the identity of the guy (my mistake). I sent the guy's number to some other senior and respectable nairaland members for verification. Few of them said they already did some transactions with the guy and he is reliable. I decided give him a shot by doing a small deal. We agreed on supply of some fittings for close to 450k. Guy delivered. I was happy with the delivery. @rotecch77 - Apologies for the mixup. Deal was supposed to be for you. Somehow it was not meant to be. Fault was mine. I think the recommendation of him I got made me loose my guard. I may do subsequent ones together with you. @Hajj M - Very funny situation. I feel stupid. |

Macby: A palet covers 12sqm. A palet is N27600 Yes we do installation. Great. My project is at this stage and I am seriously considering this option. Can you please educate us on the instalation aspect. Why some interlocking stones change colour after some time? Why weed grows in between the tiles? Cost implications when compared with other options? Advantages? Comparison with stamped concrete? Etc |

Promes: Yes, they can be installed after screeding. Its usually better to install before wall screeding though, due to the mess it may give off while installing.
Plastering comes before screeding, and screeding before painting. Installation requires that subframes be installed before the doors come in. The subframes vary in widths. These need to be installed and plastered to fill up the holes created. After plastering the areas around and within the subframe to give it strength and hold it in place, the door frame is then installed. After this, the door comes in.
If screeding has been done and there is a subframe installed already, then yes, the door can be installed afterwards. If screeding has been done and the subframe has not been installed yet, the door can still be installed. It would just be additional effort in installing the subframes, replastering the areas around it, and then installing the door frames. There is however a replacement for subframes. It is a spray foam used in installing doors that have past subframe level or used by clients who do not want to use subframes or used in cases of emergency installation where, like in your question, screeding has been done and you want to avoid the stress of installing the subframes. The wall edge is scratched off to give it a rough finish for rigidity, and the foam is sprayed on the wall. The door frame is then glued to the foam and the door is hung on.
If your subframe was installed before screeding, door installation can be done easily. If it was not, then you would have to go through the whole process, or ypou could use the spray foam installation method substitute. Thanks so much for this explanation. Very informative. My project is at the plastering stage and I am looking at buying my internal doors from you. Do you sell subframe separately or everything comes together with the door?. Can I buy only the subframes now from you and go ahead with installation and plastering and then get the full doors later? Or better still, can you please futher explain the difference between subframe and door frame. I am a little bit confused here. Thanks |

Promes: Thank you for your interest in us. We can come in before or after the tiling. However, it is better to come in after tiling is done as this enhances our precision in installation. Can the door frames and the door be installed after wall screeding too? Please educate us. |

Promes: No we didn't. That is an architectural rendering effect. It is a wallpaper applied to the existing wall. It can be purchased from vendors who deal in it. It goes for N8000 per roll is we are to handle it. Please how durable is this wallpaper. What material is it made from? How long will it last? Is it something that I will have to change from time to time?. I am really interested in this one. |

I asked a welder to do a 5 feet and a 3 feet security door for one of my three bedroom bungalow. I choose a particular good and catchy design in his pictures and I paid fairly well. I cried when I see the quality of the finish. Horrible!. I quickly reserved the 5 feet one for the generator house. Our welders are a long way off though some are trying. Never will I allow myself to be bamboozled again. Foreign doors still ranks as the best in terms of finish. |
