ANS- The man that died was the son grandfather, and the surgeon is the bois father and surgeons are not allowed to operate on their relation cause of emotion, that 's why he can 't operate on his son.

ANS- not sure of the answer, but if score in the sentence actully means a group of twenty, then he 's basically not talking of the result of the match, but the number of players on the pitch.(I stand to be corrected)
