Well considering the type & quantity of champagne ordered, that's a fair bill.

That bill going by Nigerian standards, is understandable huge but you guys must remember that Nigeria is a country with a huge wealth divide, some naija folks are filthy rich, while some can barely afford to eat so bills like this is bound to astound any regular joe.

That bill could easily have been for one of these new generation business men or the child of a tycoon or politician. That bill is N10 mil (around £40k or $60k which is also a sizeable bill to rack up in most clubs around Europe & America).

However in some parts of the world, that bill is common change, I can't imagine spending £40k in an posh Monaco, Vienna or Dubai club will attract much attention. I've even heard of a young banker who blew £150k (that's N37 mil) a night in London.

Quite true...even in student bars in cheaper cities like Birmingham, a bottle of regular Henny (not XO) costs £80 (about 25k) minimum and its usual for a party of friends to down 10 easy with no eyebrows raised. These are undergraduates.

Finally the first person with insight.

Anyone with a printer can do this.

Besides people who can afford to do this do it. To them its no biggie. Its not showing off or a waste of funds. They just can and did it. To someone in this category 10milla is like 1k.

That's right! It's not unusual for a group of few friends to blow £700 a night. Some save up for it & won't mind going hungry afterwards.

Damn I did not scrutinise the bill properly. I clubbed at Escape last two weeks and even wanted to go there yesterday but ended up in Sip. In escape a bottle of regular Hennesy cognac is N20,000 that is what I take there. Hennessy VSOP is 25 - 30K; Hennessy XO is about 30 - 40K per bottle (Club price). Dom P is N60,000. However, I am not so sure about Dom P Mag, but I think it would not exceed N100 - N150K (Club Price). Escape cannot sell that bottle for N600K. I have to be honest, while I was there I saw someone order a bath of Moet & Chanddon (I don't know if it is Nectar, Rose or Brut) but that cost N3million with over 30 bottles. I presumed they were yahoo boys and they look the part too. I really do not enjoy going to escape because people go there to show off their insecurities and inferiority complex. Well not only escape, most clubs on the Island.

In my own opinion, if that bill was actually passed on to a customer yesterday, then I need to shine my eyes next time in the club because these waitress or bar-men can be something else. To me, the bill is fictitious.

Naija don't do couple of friends. It is a one man show. trying to let his friends and the club girls know he is the man
