FYI, my college classmates at UBC were mostly from Dubai, and China, several of them from wealthy backgrounds. So, your assumptions are all wrong.

I left Nigeria immediately after high school in 2002 as a teenager. Coming back after 10+ years, I will need someone to show me around. That was what I was asking for. I asked for a lady because I prefer a female tour guide, someone i could probably become friends with, a friendship that can blossom. You never know what the future holds.

I admit it does sound sketchy asking for a lady, but does it harm anyone if I do? I'm single, able and willing to mingle ; I don't see nothing wrong with that.

Sweetheart, I am not doing bad for myself. I graduated UBC Engineering with both a BSc and an MASC in electrical engineering, one of the most rigorous and cut-throat departments in the entire university. Hence, I recommend that you stop comparing achievements. I am yet to find any of my cohorts, the class of 20XX, from UBC engineering doing better than myself professionally.

As such, I doubt some lady from some backwater university in Nigeria is doing better than I am doing now. If there is, she is just an outlier, and hence, not the norm.


If Nigerian ladies have really improved, I am even more excited, as it offers a better chance of meeting a tour guide who will be intellectually stimulating.

However, the question of requesting a tour guide is to have someone on the ground who is willing to offer a service to a Nigerian tourist (originally from Nigeria) willing to pay for that service.
