All these things happen in Ekosodin yet there are people who have never experienced such. I want to rent a place in Ekosodin next year and I'm no scared of anyone.

I stayed in ekosodin 4 3 years..i never had any bad encounter sha cos my hostel was close 2 d gate..bt my friend dat came 2 visit me from school hostel one day did.

I stayed in Ekosodi for about 9-10yrs (2001 to 2009)
A lot happened sha... but no personal issue with any cultists.

I schooled at UNIBEN, lived on campus (halls 2, 3 & 4), never had any cult related issues. I visited Ekosodin on a number of occasions but always in the company of two of my friends who were living there at that time. We were classmates in secondary school way back in Lagos then, I thought they were still the innocent classmates I knew in Lagos not knowing they were cultists on campus.
The closest I had was when one of those two friends of mine told me that Aiye was looking for new intakes and I came highly recommended! This was in my 300 level, coupled with the fact that I knew this friend of mine way back in the secondary school. So, instead of freaking out even though my heartbeat was racing, I calmly asked him to explain what he meant by Aiye. This question got him really upset and as he grew angry, I laughed out hysterically and he fumed, saying "this is how you people miss your opportunity" and never spoke to me again that day. This was around 10am on the footpath between Hall 3 and hall 4 unit 2 through the student union building. After that day, I avoided that friend of mine like a plague until I graduated.

I rep Jackson Villa, BDPA...no time for ekosodin wahala, invite them ekosodin, osasogie, DQ, SSQ,,JSQ and town girls over to BDPA, bleep them and drop them off at 19th street junction, call the smooth BDPA butty chick to keep soul nd body together all night.

NB- I don't bleep hostel girls, eeeeew, they short put and poo in buckets which make their puss smell like expired NH4OH solution. Yes I made a first class too !!!

UNIBEN WAS THE BOMB...I lived, and I had sooooo much fun......

About my Strong men experience, coming back from a failed Night class (I felt feverish so I was returning home from engineering). Some guys stopped my ride nd I actually thought they wanted a ride home cos it was really late and no bike. I stopped and they brought out with their metal, collected my phones, my laptop and my wallet. I laughed silently because I knew them very well, 200L boys and I was in my finals. A final year student who had a very active social life in Uniben must definitely know loads of men round.
I let them go and I drove home.
I am an Army officers son and my dad was a former commandant of the barracks near Oluku. So I just strolled there and all my soldier hommies came with their convoy to the guys hostel and picked everybody up.
Got my stuffs back plus loads of begging and wailing under the boots nd whip.

Them strong men who know how things go in the Uselu environment came to meet me and asked me to plead on the boys behalf, saying its ignorance et al.

That's how we settled the whole ish, bought some cartons for them Men and we all drank away our sorrows.
Was fun and I learned a lot.

For those who call Uniben a cult school, you know nothing about Uniben......its an all round school!!...and her products are just outstanding!!!!...

Entered Uniben in 2002, stayed in hall 2, in 2003 wen i was to move off campus, everyone discouraged me from choosing Ekosodin. i still went ahead and got me a fine and new hostel HEXAGON along edo street, close to the bus stop branching off to your right as though heading to the primary school. between 2007 and 2009, shuttled between medical hostel, Osasogie and Ekosodin. i spent 7 years in that great school and i can proudly say my time there was worth it. of all the places i lived, i still choose Ekosodin as best to experience school life to the fullest.
as for my experience, i had a robbery attack once in my hostel in Ekosodin when the thieves came into my room but didnt take a dime. aside that, it was fun all thru with the lack of light, hustling for water, visiting friends in other zones, going to campus for classes, fellowship and mostly late night reading........ i could write a book on that.
i miss all of that. 6years later and reading this thread about my alma mater brings back memories, some sad (i know a medical student who was killed there may his soul rip) but mostly good ones.
i hope things are better now cos the last time i was there, i saw some beautiful structures.

I forgot to mention that the proud products of the great school are doing well a lot more compared to other schools both home and abroad.
Those upcoming scholars shouldnt hesitate to choose Uniben and work hard towards gaining admission as that school is a good citadel of learning with recognition.

I was in Ekosodin for 3years, and didn't have a personal terrible experience. If a guy hails me "fine girl", na to humbly greet am o. But there was a close one that happened in 2012.

I stayed at Domus hostel just at Ekosodin gate. Quietly reading in my room one night as night class doesn't work for me. My window was just at the fence, facing the street where Vincente hostel is.

Suddenly, I heard a gunshot and loud scream of a lady. I was still in shock, then heard another. Nai, I off light enter bed. For fear I couldn't even look through the window and there was dead silence everywhere.

Shortly afterwards, I heard conversations of paramedics and security officers. Till morning before I got the full gist. A well known Engine guy in company of a babe was fallen. The second gunshot was to ensure he really left.

Most people should know this event, twas just at my window. A really sad event, and he was soberly mourned.


NB: Please, don't tell my dad I stayed in Ekosodin. He never knew but paid the rents.

LOL. Just read through all the stories. They are quite funny. Ekosodin is calm now compared to what i've heard.
