I think your SL is too small, with a single swing of proboscis , the SL will be sucked in.
From my many years of experience, I have learnt to give my trades breathing spaces because with that it will not be easy for the money bags to pick it except I was really on the wrong side. My SL is from 500 upward. In fact, I feel more comfortable when my SL is 1000. To achieve this, I reduce my lot size proportionally to accommodate it.

Yes, I mean 50 pips to 100 pips (standard pip o). I ensure my lot size tallies with a maximum risk of 5% of my balance per trade. Hmm, I know somebody will shout 5%? Is that not too much? Well, fx trading is business and a serious one for that matter. You have to define your own path to success. Just listen to what I say for comparison sake but do what suites you. All that matters is to achieve success at the end of the day. Cheers.

Yes, it is good to combine tech and fundamental. Sadly, I'm not good at fundamental analysis. I just obey my indicators mechanically like a robot. But I have observed that I make more profits following my technical analysis.
