Some Nigerians are just funny, all through the year(2014) electrical supply was nothing to write home about, now that the election is about to come, suddenly electricity is now stable. Be wise!! I don't wanna enjoy electricity only during election periods, I want to enjoy it all through the year! The time for CHANGE is here... |

Tinubu: My friend park well with your hate. We all know power is a basic social amenity. The fact remains we have been denied power for years and now it's improving. We criticise govt when their is need and should also praise them when they do well. Jonathan has a clearly defined power agenda that is yielding result. Even the Buhari/Tinubu cannot deny it. 2 Likes |

malachytochukwu: Bro i feel u. My brother just came back fron otukpo Benue state and he said thesame thing aw light is very stable there. Dey do give dem light for 22-23 hrs a day-dis is no joke! He came back to Lag and was plunged into d regular darkness. I think dis light issue is problem of big cities like lagos or maybe Abuja but other states do have regular power supplies. |

Here in my area of calabar [Scanobo] there has been a very remarkable improvement in power supply.... This is an area that used to go for days and even weeks without supply.... I still have 300 litres of pms stored in my house. Now we now enjoy upto 18hrs.... Confidence that there always be power supply has increased.. |

CaliOsi: Power supply is getting better because the government is doing something about the power grid.... Endeavor to keep PHCN staffs as friends.... I was told by one that we are yet to enjoy anything..... Work is going on to be completed by March on some power lines and that calabar North has been rerouted to a new power station in the East while the southern part is to be hooked to the new itu station.... A substation at tinapa is to be fired by March upon completion of work on the grid |

My people perish cos of lack of wisdom! Is there any one who doesn't know that we are still in a 'festive period'? Have they improved on the staggering 4KMW? Have the industries that folded up due to power shortage started benefiting? Mumu Op, our WA neighbours ghana has celebrated 1 year with black out..same with Niger republic and so on..u bringing up cheap propaganda as a point to re-vote the clueless one! |

Bluetooth2: Actually for Nigeria this is where the problem / challenge is. You can not be generating 4000MW for such a large population and hope there is / will be light for everybody. 4000MW for upto 170million people is close to nothing. What about industries, firms, where do they get their supply from? Everybody has to share the 4000MW And what is even painful it's the fact that it takes quite a long time to build power stations. Anything between 3 and 6 years for a 4500MW station. Nigeria has got a lot of hard work to do. You need a lot more - seriously a lot. Comparing with the South African situation: Currently SA generates at 39150MW and soon will be about 48000MW with a population of 52million people. Nigeria with a population of plus 165million should do with a generating capacity of around 168000MW. Currently sitting at 4000MW, there is a difference of 164000MW that must still be attained to - and with a generating capacity of up to 6000MW per station - at the most 27 more stations has to be built. May the powers that be in that country find the courage to face this challenge head on assist the nation. It would be very good for the entire African continent if this could be done. 1 Like |

"it is because of the rainy season, let the water level drop and you will see"..the water level has dropped and now the new tune is " haba be wise, it is because of the coming election".. 1 Like |
