The Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) has accused
the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of
deliberately using its primary elections in
the North to create political problems for
President Goodluck Jonathan.
President of the IYC, Udengs Eradiri, who
spoke in an interview in Yenagoa on
Tuesday, alleged that the PDP played up
an atmosphere of acrimony among its
aspirants in the North with the President
as the target.
He said the PDP had deployed the
primaries to sabotage Jonathan’s chances
in the North in the February 14 presidential
election.
Eradiri said the party knew that the North
would be a major battleground in the
presidential election but went ahead to
stoke fire by ‘anointing’ some candidates
against popular choices.
He pointed out that it was this singular act
that triggered off mass defections from the
PDP in the North by aggrieved aspirants,
who lost in the exercise.
He expressed fear that the outcomes of the
primaries in the North could affect
Jonathan’s electoral fortunes.
Eradiri said: “The IYC has another issue
we want to raise. We are worried about the
attitude of the PDP in this election. The
reason is that the IYC is suspecting that
the PDP deliberately wants to make the
elections difficult for President Jonathan.”

We need a Nigerian President who will be in charge and not just a lucky man who hides his face when his wife barks.

.....Can one remind me a sane Country where a President's wife go about 'anointing' political office holders to the detriment of her very weak husband's political fortunes?

We have not started talking of the massive looting that is presently going on under the watch of the current Aso Rock tenant.

Let us give it to a person who will at least take responsibility for his executive actions and not apportion blames to imaginary enemies.
