GMB applied to join the army in 1961. it is the same year that he was in form six. For the school principal to have issued such Letter of Recommendation to him, it simply means that it is either they haven`t sat for the Cambridge/WASC or they have sat for it but the result wasn`t out as at that time but he needs a proof that he was already in form six.

We all do that when we want to sit for JAMB exams in the final class of our secondary school days. We simply write AWAITING RESULT where we`re suppposed to write our WAEC results. It is when we are admitted that we`ll then present out result for clearance.

That`s exactly what must have happened in GMB`s case since his exams grade was later filled in his entry form.

Guy i am a die hard fan of GMB and this is the best option so far that i have seen so we can move out of this distractions. (But im sure if we buy the scratch card WAEC has not updated as back then as 1961 into their online database). Let PDP come out and face real life issues

That is another thing. Sitting for exam doesn't mean you passed and earned your certificate.

For instance you can't be a lawyer without passing 'Bar Exam', because you don't have a certificate and license. It is illegal to practice Law or be an attorney without passing the exam.

Just sitting for the 'Bar Exam' doesn't prove you have the intelligence to PASS it and gain your license and certificate.

I don't see it as that. If, even according to the NA, all personnel usually have copies of their certificates with the institution, then Buhari is right to have sworn to that effect. It's just like me swearing an oath that my employer has copies of my certificates based on the fact that I know I submitted some copies to the, will I be deemed to have lied if that same employer, for some reason, lose the copies I gave them? I'm sure you know the answer will be NO.
